..Lack so much action? Keep in mind I've only read KH, CoM and the first volume of KH2, but so far the action is tremendously toned down and practically non existent. I don't know if it improves later but it bugs me. Why rush it?

Because when you remove the video game action, and focus solely on the story, KH ends up being fairly character based, with little power in the way of action and fighting.

It's hard to read action in a manga.  A lot of times I find myself glancing over the pictures and only reading the text.  Then I pass a part where no one talks and I'm like "what the heck just happened?"

Aaaaaand now I hate the manga even more.

action is boring

video, image or text, you'll never see that much action. Just what's needed to move the story along. only video games keep mundane actions in them, as gameplay

action is boring

Kingdom Hearts needs action.

Kingdom Hearts needs action.

If it were relying on the story provided in the games, then yeah, totally, just the cutscenes are kinda shit (358/2 proved that, and from what I hear Re:Coded did too).

But from what I've read of the manga (KH1 and CoM, both years ago, to be fair), it takes a slightly different approach to the story and makes it flow a lot better when it's lacking a lot of the action that makes the games so fun. Besides, do you really want full chapters of nothing but fight scenes like other manga tend to do?

YES, DAMMIT, YES... okay no, not really.

But you can't just ignore it either. :/ I mean, whatever, the manga tells the story in a different way. I don't care. Kingdom Heart's conflicts can't all be solved with talking or speeches or whatever this manga does with it. What's wrong with seeing some pure old fashioned ass kicking along the way?

Well, there is SOME action, it's just handled differently. Like when they fight Trickmaster in the manga, Sora had been struggling to learn magic before the fight and Trickmaster was kicking their asses, but push came to shove, Sora did that whole shonen pushing-me-to-the-limit-makes-me-stronger thing and summoned a huge block of ice that totally oneshotted Trickmaster. It's nothing like the boss fight in-game, but it worked fine on it's own; there was a kind of tension in the fight that isn't in the game and it made Sora seem like way more of a cool hero than he ever did in KH1.

(Granted, I haven't read the manga in a while and for all I know KH2 is way worse about it.)

Blegh. Its just not my thing.

I need a more faithful adaption. Not cutesy stuff.

Exactly. I may not want CHAPTERS for one fight but at least half a chapter would suffice.

It really bugged me too it's pretty sad how little action the manga has. On top of that the artsyle was waaay to childish

The manga doesn't need to be a copy and paste from the games. It's great on it own and the author has his own interpretation. It's not supposed to be a 100% loyal fanfic.

Think about it, if it was EXACTLY like the games it would be boring and predicable. Plus, character interaction and development is better taken in the manga than in the games. More mentioning in the 358/2 days and KH II latter chapters, I mean, the first manga and chain of memories is incredibly rushed.
