I'm asking all of you what you would like to see in the next new Pokemon game, and by new I mean gen 7.

 

You can list as many as you want and I'll go first.

 

I would like:

 

1. A skateboard instead of a bicycle just to change it up. (It could've happened in Gen 2)

 

2. More city's like Luminose

 

3. And better trainer customization options. For example, along with all of the extra clothes you have, you can also dress up as some of the trainer classes from different regions too. (Youngster hoodie, Kalos, Ace Trainer jacket, Hoenn)

I think you mean to say Gen 3 instead of 5 seeing how Gen 5 lacked traditional rematches outside of the PWT.

Yeah,though Gen 5 did have the rematches in PWT they only had actual rematches with the Elite 4 and champion but I think you get the point

 

As for the plot,I hope they go back to the ideas they had for Gen 5 cuz the story there was interesting.....sure sure We all knew Ghetsis was obviously evil but I was actually intrigued by the rest of Gen 5's plot especially N

A group of villains that is interesting and a story that is engaging. (Gen 6 was a big step backwards in those departments compared to Gen 5).

I would love maybe a region based on maybe Russia (we kinda got that with Sinnoh already) or maybe the Carribean we kinda already have that with Hoenn...) or maybe a region based on China, India, or Hong Kong or something. That would be really nice.

 

I would love a group of villains that actually worship the legendary of that region and surve it, since that would make a very interesting plot.

 

I would also love it if maybe certain characters of the past could make an appearence, like N. That would also be very interesting. Colress made a tiny cameo in X and Y. I have to admit though I would want more a Pokemon game that connects all of the stories of the past region that isn't actually a generation in itself.

The ability to trade pokemon between your own games without using the GTS, Pokébank, or another 3DS.

 

Don't really know how they could pull this off, but I can dream, right?

This is pretty much what I'd want. I think a battle with a past playable character (Like Red... Hopefully he'll be in Z or X2/Y2, since he hasn't shown up in Gen VI yet) would be really nice, too. That's it, really.

Better hack checks. I don't expect 100% legality checker, but for firetrucks sakes Gamefreak still can't have a decent one. *Points at Pokebank*

 

Speaking of which, better preperation for bank. Hopefully they learned their lesson with last year's fiasco.

 

The lame excuse of not including the Battle Froniter due to difficulty was bullshit. Please Gamefreak, do not pull that crap again. I despise obvious lies because if that were the case, why not just lower the AI's difficulty in the BF? No, you just copy and paste the Battle Maison, edited the surroundings to look like it belongs in Hoenn, and call it a day. In short, I don't want to see rushed shit like this again. I feel like XY probably suffered the same fate, with the difference being a dried post-game.

Oh, another thing I want to see: North America and Europe getting the same events that Japan gets. Of course, North America always gets the least, so I'd at least like to see us get the same events that Europe gets. For anyone who tries to argue against me, here are the numbers of the event Pokemon given away in NA, Europe, and Japan last year:

Can we please get equal events?

- 100 Pokémon, no less unlike Gen 6.

- More Trainer Customization

- Better Plot, like Gen 5 or even better. Gen 6 had so much promise and a good idea but it wasn't delivered well.

- More character involvement. Gym Leaders, more friends/rivals throughout journey, etc. I kind of find it weird that you trainer hasn't befriended that many trainers in the main story.

- A bit more of a transition until a 3D World, maybe little steps to an open world version.

Masuda has already said that the customization was mostly for XY because of the region it was based on (France).

Following Pokemon actually wasn't in the original G/S, but Pikachu did follow the trainer back in Yellow. Anything could follow in HG/SS

-- I would like far better customisation for trainers. XY introduced a good starting point but I felt that they favoured female trainers over males in terms of variety. I would like to see them go full on with actual customisation like in Pokemon Battle Revolution in terms of how we can have our trainer appear.

 

-- A better region than the last couple before it. In my opinion, Unova was too large and Kalos was too small. They need to strike a good balance and really make an interesting 3D world. Hoenn looked great when it was remade, the Pokemon in the wildlife made it pop and full of life far more than other Pokemon games. I'd like to see a new region that can give us some fun places to go while making the region itself interesting. Kalos was a disappointment on far too many levels. Unova had far too much going on in the game and if anything it could've benefited from being a 3D region rather than Kalos.

 

-- A better story. This is hit and miss with Pokemon games. I very much enjoyed the storyline present in GSC/HGSS and BW. I know their target audience is everyone kids, but I'd love a far more engrossing story. It doesn't have to be complex, it just doesn't have to be so... formulaic.

 

-- As far as gameplay goes:

• Don't be stuck to a grid. Seriously have our character move freely. The movement in ORAS felt better than XY, but give us better control with the circle pad.
• Have our Pokemon by our side. Not stuck to being a tile away, literally next us like how they are portrayed in the anime. I loved the feature in Gen IV, but it's time to evolve it into something even better.
• Don't want a Pokemon following you but it's a feature? Let us opt out of it. (I wouldn't choose it, but some might not want a Pokemon near them)
• Make super training less tedious or at least speed up the mini-games. I hate how long the balloons take to load up.
• Rematch gym leaders or make some sort of higher level areas for levelling to 100. It's tedious enough as it is.
• This one doesn't matter but..... maybe not a silent protag?

 

I might be nitpicking a few but there are a number of ways to improve the Pokemon games. Game Freak is far too cautious every generation and the baby steps have to stop. People might complain, but there a number of features that they've implemented down the line and have been extremely careful with not breaking the formula. At the end of the day it's got the Pokemon logo on the box which people buy into. So I wish they'd not be afraid to innovate more with certain ideas.

I also got another one. 

 

They can have the supposedly evil team actually be good. They would have goals that would benefit both people and pokemon, but some of their actions to get their wouldn't be so good. They would try to get the main legendary to help them with their goals, but YOU as the player would think they were evil and try to stop them. YOU would mess up with the legendary making it go berserk, which would make more sense as to why YOU should stop it. And in the end the team would still be there, trying to make a difference. 

 The Final Fight with the leader would be like this:

 

When you almost reach the legendary you would be stopped by the leader and he would say:

"Why do insist on trying to stop us? Do you know what we're even trying to do? If you can't understand that we're trying to make things better, then I will make you"

After being defeated: "We're just trying to help out the world of Pokemon. If you really want to, go on and see the legendary pokemon, but at what cost?

 

Basically, it would be like Team Plasma 1, but they are flat out good guys.

The Soar ability from OR AS it looks so cool flying over the region!

I'm sure clothing and character choices will come back (because it's totally gonna be Z version with Mega Zygarde but anyway), but I'd like to see more customize options besides that; more tweaks that fit your playstyle, like when/where music plays, camera angles, etc. Just more things available overall.

Ever since Team Galactic, we've had these sort of anti-hero/redeemable villains, and while it was fresh initially, it's gotten pretty old by now; even Team Aqua/Magma, who were ridiculous in Gen 3, suddenly start having these changes of heart in the Gen 6 remakes.

No, I mean that they would do things that people actually like, but the grunts would mess things up because they're grunts. Lets say that the team is trying to build a simple machine to benefit all and they get some grunts to get and pay for it. The grunts would be stupid and steal it, with you as the player would feel obliged to take it back. The grunts would tell the admins, which would make it think as if you're trying to stop their good deeds, and you (+ your rival) think they're evil.

What I want:

 

 

• Better Story
• More interesting characters, gym leaders and champions with more personality and more interesting features and interactions.
• More Pokemon in each region with more of each type (Gen 6 only had 2 new ground types. Diggerby and Zygarde.)
• Easier ways to reach the Metagame with faster methods to EV train.
• Return of PWT or something like that which lets you battle trainers from older games.
• Return of old characters like N and Cynthia for rematches.
• More Trainer Costumizations with more variety. More hairstyles, facial features, glasses that are not just at the top of your hat, more clothes and more of everything in that department
• Villains that I can hate and who don't redeem themselves at the end of the game or having them understanding their errors and all that. It was nice to see more of their personalitites but it was a little annoying if you think about it.
• More interesting rivals because the ones in X and Y did nothing. They didn't have personalities, only interests. One loved to dance, one loved the pokedex and one loved you. Nothing more to say about them.
• At least one rival I can hate.
• A challenging Champion. I don't know about you but Diantha was way too easy. The Elite Four were more challenging than her.
• More interactions with characters and maybe include characters that you can choose as your girlfriend/boyfriend and then get to battle alongside them in a tournament or something. Yancy in Black 2 was okay but you could only trade with her at the end. I would have prefered more of a side story.
• Include darker themes like death. Alder's pokemon was fine but why not have a person die at some point. Maybe the villain commits suicide when everything fails or something. I'm not sure if Lysander dies at the end. It was kind of uncertain.
• More Easter Eggs or Cameos. They are really cool to discover.
• Akame already mentioned it but equal events would be great. And make them all interent downloadable or have us play minigames online to get the code, I don't know.
• Have more satisfying conclusions. The end in ORAS was great but it left a lot of questions unanswered.
• Have more things to complete in order to unlock extra features. Besides completing the pokedex and only getting an item you could also have to complete an extra challenge which unlocks a secret episode to play through.

 

 

 

Those are A LOT and there are more I would like but I think I'll stop here.
