Five Nights at Freddy's is getting a legit Movie.

Posted

So most of us on this site has heard of Five Nights at Freddy's, the crazy horror game that you either love it to bits or think it's the worst thing to have ever existed in the history of time. If you like Five Nights at Freddy's like me, then you may be excited or dreadful to hear that Warner Bros. is making an official legit Hollywood adaption of Five Nights at Freddy's.

Here's some info on it:

As for me, I'm actually excited for the movie even if it sucks compared to the game. I think the movie by itself will hopefully be great. Scott Cawthon is supposed to have a role with the movie, so I'm pretty excited to see how this turns out if it does hit the big screen.

...i hope Jumpscares are scary not funny.

Hype leads to nothing but disappointment, so I'll continue on with detached optimism and accept the final product for however it is -- which will either be really awesome, really awful, or... just another horror movie that just happens to be about FNaF.

How are they going to turn such a simple premise into an hour and a half long movie? I can imagine this having lots of poor character development and forced plot points. Or maybe it'll just be a slasher flick with animatronics.

Since they're most likely only making this to cash in on the series' hype fueled popularity then I almost hope it tanks and comes back to bite them hard.

this is why sometimes I think that the series is underrated because people like picking on it and the series isn't that bad, well at least in my opinion.

why, because I said it has a simple premise? i know there's lots of speculation surrounding the games and the story that can be pieced together throughout the games but I wasn't aware if the creator of the series had given a definite answer about what the actual story was.

I don't necessarily mind the games (although I feel the 4th one was pushing it) but when a movie studio comes around to make a movie based off the game I feel like it's just a cash in on the games popularity and I feel they won't actually try to make a film adaption that lives up to the quality of the games themselves.

I think he might answer that in a "DLC" that he's going to show off on halloween or even earlier because honestly who knows what Scott is going to do next.

Well hopefully he does reveal the true story because I'd be interested in learning what's really going on in the games. I like how the story is sprinkled throughout the games and requires the player to piece it together to figure it out.

Can you please stop doing this? If you saw my previous topic, you would understand. xP

I don't like the games much, other than the story they don't interest me. But this movie sounds like it could be cool. And yeah, It kinda does seem like the guy is milking it a bit, but to be honest why shouldn't he? if most people were in his place they'd milk it too. I say good for him. Let him milk it till he can't get anything else out of it.

Whatever.

What? If this sparks a flamewar, I can use the flames to make s'mores.

I read about this not too long ago over at Cinemablend, and it seems that this movie will take off in development soon!  I haven't played the Freddy games myself, but I've heard a lot about them, and the premise seems like it would fit nicely for a horror movie!

Now that it is getting a movie (and no doubt it will be popular.) it will have MARKETABLE MERCHANDICE!

Someone get me a vexon card. I'm gonna need it.
