How not to let a bitchy fandom ruin your enjoyment?

Posted

Title says it all, how do you ignore a lolcow, or the negative side of the fandoms ruin your enjoyment of a medium

Just ignore them as best you can: Every fandom, not naming names Frozen Kingdom Hearts Harry Potter has it's buttholes and lowlifes. The best you can do is not stoop to their level, and just enjoy whatever media it is without them ruining it.

Take the negativity one ear coming out the other, when it's being heard.

Squash it out of your mind, if it's there.

Know your reason why you love what ever source of your enjoyment, and don't let anyone ruin it.

To quote the fairly decent Cage the Elephant: "It goes in one ear and right out the other. People talking shit but you know I never bother."

Just ignore them

Ignore them.

Occasionally put them in their place now again, because let's be honest, we all need to relieve our tension of them sometimes.

^Precisely this.

Ignoring them is one thing, but sometimes, these people need to know their place. They're not above you and they're not entitled.

But still, just ignore them. Don't give them the satisfaction of ruining your enjoyment.

Just avoid most fandoms entirely
