Mega Man Legacy Collection - Announce Trailer

Featured Replies

OH GOD YES

oh damn, I thought it was the Legend series TT-TT I loved that version.

Oh good, they're re-releasing a bunch of games they've already re-released several times before, along with (presumably unlockable) concept and box art that you could easily find online and might even already own in an artbook. Great job, Capcom.

(Also lol at calling it "8-bit style", it's not a "style", the games were made with 8-bit tech.)

The Anniversary collection had Mega Man 1 to Mega Man 8,so its a bit weird that this collection doesn't at least include Mega Man 1 to 10 and maybe they could have included Mega Man X Street Fighters in there. But I guess its still ok for PS4 and Xbox One users to have the classic Mega Man games.

Exactly. Let's not give Mega Man a new game, let's re-re-re-re-re-release his extremely old games.

Dat Cut Man remix though.

Or even re-release harder to find fan favorites, like the Legends or Battle Network games. Nope, just stick to the same tiny percentage of our most popular IP.

Wish it was coming to the Wii U too, but I'll pick it up for the 3DS. Hopefully if this sells well, Capcom will realize how successful a new Mega Man game would be.

They've been re-releasing the Battle Network games through Wii U Virtual Console.

Looks nice :)

Yeah, only on the Wii U. Unlike this collection of games that's going to be available on several different systems (and strangely the 3DS, even though literally every game in this collection is available on the 3DS eShop right now.)

If Capcom doesn't realize that any new Mega Man game would be a huge success by now, they never will. All huge sales of this game would do is convince them they don't need to make new games, they can just keep porting old ones to new systems and they'll be gold.

Well finnally something about Mega Man. The Reason of only being the first six games, it's beacuse, they only think in those games especially with Mega Man 2.

Calling it now, they're gonna cancel it.

Don't do this. ;~;

Exactly. All Capcom's been doing now is porting the same games that everypne's played a thousand times into current gen hardware. I like remasters/ports as much as the next guy, but instead of giving us a game that we already played, we should be getting brand new games. I'm really getting tired of this generations of the "next-gen" games being ports.

And the Wii U isn't getting this collection, for no reason whatsoever. This makes it even between the different systems.

I would hardly call 6 easy to find NES games and 4 (so far) hard to find GBA games even. Not to mention that pretty much anyone with any sort of personal computer will probably be able to play this new collection- even if you've got a 10 year old netbook (or god help you, a Mac), it can likely run a game from the 80s.

Well you can download the games on this collection from the Wii U eShop lol.

But it's way cheaper to get the Legacy Collection than to buy all six games on the Wii U eShop separately, and this version adds in new features as well. Besides, if the 3DS can get the collection despite all of these games being available on the eShop, the Wii U can get it, too.
