Chronomagister 152 Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) I need help to beat him with terra. I've 100% Ven and Aqua with their boss battles, etc. I got their 100% trophies for them but the MF foot terra is impossible for me to do. All I need is to beat him and I can platinum this game. Any help is welcomed I'm level 58 with all abilities and keyblades minus the one you get from mf and my deck is 4 thunder surges and 4 curagas Edited June 23, 2015 by Chronomagister

Chronomagister 152 Posted June 23, 2015 That's not a command and if you mean sonic impact I don't have that equipped during the fight
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted June 23, 2015 Yeah, he's a cheap boss, so you need to be equally as cheap. It's a pain but you may want to grind to the level cap.
decisivesora123 39 Posted June 23, 2015 Haha it's weird like you most people 100% story mode with ven and aqua, I honestly found terra the easiest to play. As for the mysterious figure I have to ask you one thing what level are you? So what you are going to do is keep meteor Slide on it actually Stubbs him if you aim it right, also have renewal block, this battle is pretty hard with out it have 5 thunder surge set next to each other and 3 cures set next to each other. Also have all of your abilities up preferably magic haste and attack haste, if you find yourself needing cure quicker set it up so you have 4 and 4. Notice when ever you fight him his attack pattern changes that shouldn't matter you just watch out for his tornado, if you get him don't worry that's why you have renewal block the only attacks you can't block from him are his fire surge( I know it's not fire surge but I forgot the name its one of aquas movies), tornado, and that move with the count down that kills you(again it been a while since I last played). I bieve there are 2 more flare and something else but that's not important. The only time his attack pattern is constant is after 2 bars down, he begins with flare and invisibility, don't panic he is invisible not invincible when you think you see him, surge. As for the mega flare take the hit. And heal Thunder surge is the only move I recommend attacking with you are going to play a while and learn how to time your surge so you don't take unnecessary damage, when you learn that the surge strategy works wonders, mainly because it kills his 4 clones, also learn not to recover, if he has you in a combo be a bitch and take the hits, excuse my French I remember fighting him for a while and getting mad when I died.like. His spears you have nothing on that just take the hits and only he when he is done. Sorry this is a bit long hopefully it some what helps, good luck with the fight. ShadowKeyblade 219 Posted June 23, 2015 Basically it's down to you getting lucky. At least, that's how I beat him. It's also a good idea to try and be more strategic with your dodge since the invincibility isn't as defined as the other dodge moves. Other than that, do what everyone else does with the thunder surges, and abilities maxed. There's not much more you can do except get pretty lucky. Personally, I didn't find him to be much harder than with Ven.
Niko Collins 83 Posted June 23, 2015 I'm just gonna say...follow their advice. I don't even know how to get to this fight. 1 Chronomagister reacted to this
FerroAxel7 237 Posted June 23, 2015 The key is to recognize were he is whilst using your evade. It should be easy because his lightsaber sticks are bright blue. When you find him, thunder surge away until he's visible. When he went invisible, I thought it was a weird glitch, but it's just another cheap attack. You might want to level up a bit more. TerraRedeemed 255 Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Disabling certain abilities makes the fight easier. I was having the same trouble as you and then I disabled stuff and I one shot him no problem. Edited June 23, 2015 by TerraRedeemed
Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted June 23, 2015 I've heard the battle gets 'easier' if you remove abilities that are unnecessary for the battle, like ones that make enemies drop more HP. I've also heard that the less amount of times you've died while playing, not against this boss, just the entire playthrough, the boss gets harder. So die more I guess... I only heard about these so I don't know if these are facts.
Chronomagister 152 Posted June 23, 2015 I'm just gonna say...follow their advice. I don't even know how to get to this fight. finish all 3 character files in any order, then finish the final episode where aqua fights you know who. after that return to your 3 files, and in the keyblade graveyard will there be an optional boss battle with the vanitas remnant. after you beat him with a certain character, the MF will show up in the Land of Departure
Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) 3,859 Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) MF is strong, fast and has a hard to tell pattern, but this is still a cheap battle. Spam with Thunder Surge and use Renewall Block when you know you're going to block the attack, otherwise, he might take you down. The main problem of this guy in the FM version (at least for me) is his countdown doom attack, every time he uses it, it becomes harder te evoid getting killed by it; in critical mode, it's really hard to survive from the second time onwards. That's basically it, use your surges to attack and use Curaga to heal yourself, but Renewall Block can make you save some cures. You could also use Aqua's D-nexus (or however it's called) as it gives you autolife and it gives you Cura (which isn't very good, but at least you can heal yourself). You can also use Shotlocks to evoid some of his attacks (as you can't get hit while you use them), but carefully, as you're vulnerable while you lock on him (I think Ultima Canon can damage him a tiny bit if you do a perfect Shotlock). What I don't get is how you could defeat NoHeart and not MF (unless they've made NoHeart weaker in 2.5 because there's no multiplayer). The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted June 25, 2015 (edited) Oh ho ho, you aren't the only one who had a bit of trouble taking care of the Mysterious Figure with Terra! I had to fight him a considerable amount of times with Terra before beating him! But well, you just have to keep a very close eye on his moves, attack constantly with Thunder or Fire Surge when you see an opening, and keep a fair distance away from him when he's trying to attack you! When he gets invisible, try using your Slide ability, but don't tap fast, so you can dodge slower. That saved me a bit, but I still got hit with Mega Flare, so after that, I just quickly healed myself with Cure. The only thing that I almost never could escape from were the stupid laser orbs! Ugh, that was such a nightmare! You can attempt to block the laser orbs, and while you might succeed blocking most of them, there's still a chance some of them will hit you! All in all, battling the Mysterious Figure with Terra is based on skill and a wee bit of luck! Hope this helps! Neoshadow99 31 Posted June 25, 2015 The Mysterious Figure has to be one of the most difficult bosses I have ever fought in any game. The last time I took him on was when I was playing as Ventus on the PSP version (I haven't progressed far enough to unlock this boss battle in the 2.5 version yet). I never stood a chance against him, as I was attempting to use a strategy other than the "cheap" surge spam one. He would usually finish me off with his move where he impales you with his blade and slams you into the ground repeatedly. I guess I will have no choice but to equip a bunch of surges and hope for the best! By the way, isn't equipping any cure spell a bad idea? I thought I remember reading about how MF can mimic what you do and heal himself, similar to the Vanitas Remnant. I thought only potions were recommended in this battle. X_X Good God, even the most battle hardened players can have some difficulty with this battle as Terra. But alas, it isn't an impossible battle, just infuriatingly hard!
