Your Favorite Video Game Opening?

Posted

So what's your favorite video game opening? Here's mine:

This opening is just awesome. It easily beats any other video game opening from any other game franchise. The lyrics and the stuff in the intro is just so powerful and amazing.

In my opinion, I have so many favorites, I lost count.

I'll post them on here later...

My favorites include KH1's, KH2's, BBS's, kind of KH3D's, Persona 3 FES's, Persona 4 Golden's, aaaaand every other game opening I like is coming to a blank right now. Sorry but I can only remember things from my recently played favorite Japanese video games about the power of friendship at the moment.

Kingdom Hearts 2 and Dream Drop Distance are my favorite video game opening.

I have so many, but if I had to choose one, excluding Kingdom Hearts games it'd have to be this:

I do love KH and FF openings but this one takes it for me

Ah, Melee. I have so many memories of that game back when I had my GameCube. I remember always coming home from school, getting myself some snacks, and than turning on the GameCube to begin the game. Melee was one of the GameCube games that I spent countless hours on.

When I saw the word "opening", I remembered the kirby air ride opening, but my favorite is the KH 3D opening and, even if i do not have it, J stars Victory

Lucky. I sold mine years ago to get a Nintendo Wii back when it first came out and it was on a lot of hype xD. Looking back at that now, I kinda regret that decision.

I can't find a video of mine, but the cd version (they took it off the Andriod downloads) of Mystery CaseFiles Escape from Ravenhearst is my favorite opening ever. It just clicks: the FMV they used, the music cues, the general look of the animation.

Too bad the removed it later.

I'm adding the KH CoM GBA opening as a strong second: I've always liked that one best.

Obviously Kingdom Hearts has some of the better of the openings I've seen, but a few others stand out to me~

I love it so much <3

My handheld childhood, summed up in about a minute

Another great opening imo

All of the KH games. Tales of Xillia 2 is a close second.

I can't decide between the Kingdom Hearts' openings and Final Fantasy 8's.

This is probably my number one favorite. A lot of people complained about it, but I thought it was great. Everything matched the music well, it did a great job of showing off the characters, and it was a lot of fun to watch for the first time. Also, Smash 4 probably has one of my favorite main themes in any game ever.

And, of course, I can't leave out the intro to my first and favorite Pokemon game. It's simple, but still great.

Also, if we count just introductory cutscenes in general, I've got to include this one:
