More worlds means no revisiting?

Posted

Hey everyone, so it's already been confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3 will have more worlds than any other Kingdom Hearts game. However, in previous Kingdom Hearts games, you were required to revisit some of the world's. Do you think it will be mandatory to revisit the world's in Kingdom Hearts 3? Do you like revisiting words, or would you rather more attention be focused on new areas? Leave your thoughts below. I personally like revisiting world's with more story content, but it can seem like a nuisance when there are world's I don't like.

I'm not sure about that, but I'm sure that we are going to have to revisit Twilight Town (and other possible non disney hub worlds) in kingdom hearts 3.

KHII had more worlds than KHI AND revisiting, so it's not like it's a set rule or anything. However, the revisits to the worlds were generally because the Organization showed up there. (Land of Dragons had Xigbar, Beast's Castle had Xaldin, Olympus Coliseum had Demyx on the first visit and Port Royal had Luxord. A couple of the worlds didn't have revisits due to the Organization, but you get the point.)

I don't think it's unlikely we won't be revisiting worlds in KHIII, but idk. I'm content with whatever.

I guess it depends on how they decide to have the story play out. In KH2 the first visit was usually just like a sightseeing tour and then Sora and co. returned for a second visit to look for the Organization and their hideout.

Where is the source for confirmation here?

He didn't say that there would be MORE worlds he just said that they would nearly be new

since kh2 had more worlds than kh1, some people think it's safe to assume that kh3 will have more worlds that kh2, which kinda makes sense.

Yuuuuuuuuuup *chilled*

It's already been confirmed in an interview that Kingdom Hearts 3 will have more worlds than 2.

I knew SE said something about it. I just couldn't find the post about it.

Revisiting worlds would be lame, except there are brand new areas to discover + it makes sense storywise. This was not the case in KH2.

Here's the thing

revisits aren't an addition, it's splitting the world's budget in half. Basically the choice is one big world, or two or more smaller visits

KH2 had both of those

I don't want revisiting.

In kh2, each story(the first visit and second visit) was short and kinda bland.

1 visit with a longer and more intensive story and exploration is better like in kh1 or khBbs

I disagree, another revisiting opens the opportunity to have the worlds more involved with the overall plot.

Ya,maybe. However I think they should get the worlds involved with the overall plot within 1 visit.Kh1 and Bbs did this very well. They mixed the disney story and the main kh plot really good.Kh2 didn't succeed with this though. They completely separated the disney story and the main kh plot.(except for beast castle or space paranoids)I prefer the kh1 and Bbs style, where there was only one visit ,but they combined very well the movie plot and kh overall plot.

Well, seeing as Birth By Sleep came out way further than Kingdom Hearts 2: it's safe to state that Square Enix will make the Disney worlds more plot relevant once Kingdom Hearts 3 comes around. Hopefully, we do end up getting world revisits!
