Long ago, two dragons entered into conflict. Grima, the fell dragon, who desired destruction and ruin of humankind, and Naga, the divine dragon who helped the humans against the evil forces of the fell one. Grima was sealed by the Exalt, using Falchion, the legendary weapon, alongside the Fire emblem. With victory for humans and the divine dragon, the world flourished once again; however 1000 years later, Grima was resurrected, bringing chaos to the once peaceful lands.

 

Once again, humans took weapons against it, and with the help of allies from different timelines, the world was saved once again, this time, finishing Grima for good, the lands of Ylisse were once again at peace. But nothing protected these from the hate and darkness inside humans, that´s how the once known Halidom of Ylisse fell down, both Falchion and Fire emblem lost in history, and the Voice, suddenly became silent... until now.

 

 

The continents of Ylisse and Valm, coexisted in the 500 years after the so called War of the Fell Dragon; since then many nations emerged while others vanished into history, nowadays in Ylisse exist the Kingdom of Dormus, ruled by King Ephidel, a nation flourished with the touch of steam technology, Varius, the green valley, and their council in the city of Tellus and the legendary Regna Ferox, land of warriors ruled by the Khan Lord Ragnar.

In Valm continent the old guardians of Chon´sin guided by Yang Chen, the light theocracy of Nazzir, blessed with Primarch Valder´s guidance, and the Principality of Rossane, ruled by centuries by House Virion and his head, lord Firion. Recently the kingdom of Dormus, once a provider of peace, has become a menace, as suddenly started to attack the nations of Various and Regna Ferox, with unknown motives, the land once again struggles with war. In the near frontier with Regna Ferox, a group of mercenaries, hired by Dormus Royalty prepares for a battle, one that truly has a long story to be told. 

 

PROLOGUE: Dormus Test.

 

In a near campside a man, around his 40 years, awakes in the dawn, he needs to receive a few people coming from the city of Dormus, as mercenary, his duty is with his clients, in this case, however..

"Sigh.. I shouldn´t agree with this, but if the old man says this is needed..." Braid, the leader fo the mercenary group said, as he walked out of his tent, in the distance, four people came in the roadside, soon they reached the campside. With a grin smile, he reached the four people coming: " So you are lord Reiner and lady Arcelia, huh? Welcome to the Feroxi Frontier".

 

"So you should be Braid, I suppose there´s no need of introductions then" Reiner said as he went down of his horse walking next to the man. "So I suposse we need to take your test, as you sent in the letter" "Hell right, if you prove your worthy we will follow you to hell, after all your mission is not a field of roses, trying to sneak into Feroxi lands.. call it a suicide." Braid said with a suspicious look over the two royals. "Alright then we will start soon, prepare yourself, as I prepare my group for battle" Finished saying Braid walked inside the camp, reaching a group of people in the center, "Alright you have 2o minutes to prepare to battle, this will be an battle exercise so be ready to be mocked down by me! HAhaha"

Alright everyone! lest start with this! Introduce yourself to your members of the team, and prepare to battle, know yourself better and please Riki, we trust in you.. don´t kill us. Battle will start as soon as everyone talk to each other.

Hearing more about her past and finding out there are more Taguel's made Ei happy that she isn't all alone in the world, but when he heard that she wanted to get stronger it didn't make sense. "I'm not sure why you need to train, you're already strong... But if you think you need to train I can give it a shot." Ei said with a light smile. "Lead the way".

 

"Why thank you Ei, but I must be much stronger if I want to be able to bring pride to my fellow Taguels" said Yany. Yany's attention was taken for a moment by Ryonne's words when he spoke to the group about the facilities we could use. Yany thought about going to the infirmary to heal up but she much wanted to train with Ei more "Come Ei, let us head to the practice arena in the basement." said Yany as she took his right hand leading him into the basement "There's that strange feeling again...my hearts beating faster whenever I seem to be near Ei or even just holding his hand. Maybe I took a little to much damage in that battle we just had" thought Yany. Once Yany & Ei reached the practice arena Yany stared at all the equipment used for practicing & soon saw an area where they could practice. Yany let go of Ei's hand getting some distance from him before facing him from afar "So...how should we do this Ei? would you prefer we fight using nothing but hand to paw hand combat? or maybe use practice weapon equipment? or do you have another idea for training?" said Yany.

Getting pulled by Yany was unexpected, but seeing her like this made me wonder why us humans went to war with them in the first place. We reached the training area and when she asked what we should train in Ei thought about it and said, "I think we should train in our abilities, you use your transformation, and I will us a practice sword... Be sure not to kill me though." Ei said jokingly, grabbing a wooden sword he got into an obscure stance 'This stance I have made up should boost my speed even more, but I won't hit as hard.' He thought to himself. "Oh, you want me to transform?...I wasn't going to transform in fear of hurting you or worse but I'll at least retract my claws while in my beast form so I don't cut your body." said Yany as she then used her beaststone to transform into her werebunny form. Yany stared at Ei as he got into his stance "Alright Ei, I'm coming at you with the intent to defeat you. DON'T HOLD BACK NOW!!" yelled Yany as she begun the fight by running towards Ei at a very fast paces right before she quickly jumped spinning her entire body like a ball straight towards Ei.   

When Ei saw what she was doing he quickly move out of the way by doing a jump just enough to get off the ground and using his left foot as he landed to push himself off. He saw her get really close to his foot, 'Dang that was close... I need to be faster.' He thought, as he landed. He quickly ran towards Yany doing a faint sideways slash to a real upwards slash.

"My life? Hmmm its been mostly a close to home pampered life. Ive been treated very welll." He replied. "My family is decently wealthy. All of us are bards and well thats about it...." He explained

Maggie smiled. "That sounds like fun. Did it ever get boring, though?" She knew that she would have gone crazy three times over when she was younger if she had been stuck around one place all the time. After all, that was part of why she ran away. "You said earlier that you are from Nazzir. Do you like it there?"

Ryonne nodded as the messenger departed. He turned towards the rest of the group as they began to settle in. "I assume that you will all be welcome to all the facilities. There is a practice arena in the basement, a kitchen on the second floor, and an infirmary if anybody has any major injuries still on this level here, over towards the right. I, along with Rija and Derik will be back shortly. Make yourselves comfortable." He said to all of them, giving them the bare bones of information. He gestured for Rija and Derik to follow behind him as he headed towards the king's audience chamber. When they had made it, Ryonne quickly bowed his head and took a knee. "My liege," He said, waiting for the Khan's response.

 

Derik followed Ryonne and Rija. He was silent the whole time, his steps, which were normally loud and almost like stomps were instead silent. Eerily silent. As they had reached the throne room, Derik stood off to the side at his usual post, left hand trained on his Killer Edge, his uneasiness all revealing in his eyes. He stated nothing, he hadn't a word to say on the matter.

"Glad to see you alive. People from the east claimed that some explosions took place above Mount Erth (Place where Gules Temple was). It seems you had some hard time.. but now we need to discuss matters of great importance here. First of all ... Did you found the two royals? I hope you carried here to safety." Ragnar said as he took seat on a table on the right of the room.

The prince fell to his doom after their tactician refused to give them Guels, and in response they fired on us with cannons. The land there, as you guess, is easily disturbed. It happened faster than any of us could move to do anything about it." Derik gripped the bandleader of his sword. "Had that escape hatch not been there, we would have all perished."

Lenord was seen leaning on a wall, looking at everyone. He let out a sigh as he thought about what happened. He felt bad for what had happened. He held his tome tightly in one of his hands, keeping it close. "Yeah... Oh man, it happened so suddenly, too... Oh my..." Said Lenord, talking to everyone.

"Mmm I see... so the Voice was right after all.. so that means..." Ragnar muttered as he looked at Rija. "Mmm I have  afew things to explain to both of you... but first." Then he called one of the two guard out of his chamber"Go to the east wing and bring the Princess of Dormus and their conrades. Also bring the tactician if you can." YES sir! the gurad yelled as he went out of the place. "As the events are moving, we will need more help than I thought... "

 

The soldier entered into the East Wing, into the room where everyone except Yani and Ei were, then he started to talk. "My apologies, I´sure you need to rest, but Khan Ragnar asked for Princess Arcelia, the two guards of her and the tactician of the mercenaries. If you can follow me please."

Maggie smiled. "That sounds like fun. Did it ever get boring, though?" "Honestly... I did get bored sometimes but ive learned that I live to make others smile... To give them a reason to Dance and sing... Its euphoric to me." Faaron replies as he seems to calm down. "As for Naazir.... Well its ok. I mean, its just what i call home."

When Ei saw what she was doing he quickly move out of the way by doing a jump just enough to get off the ground and using his left foot as he landed to push himself off. As Ei dodged her spinning attack Yany had quickly stopped herself from spinning landing on her feet quickly turning to face Ei before trying to avoid Ei's sideways slash only to get hit by an upward slash attack "Grr, nice hit, now heres mine" said Yany as she quickly put both her paws onto the ground just behind her bring both her legs towards Ei's stomach for a powerful kick attack.

"Varius..." Alexander muttered as he overheard Brooklyn speaking with Ryonne and Derik, but he didn't say anything during the travel, they soon arrived in Regna Ferox, a place where they would be safe, for the time being, hopefully for enough time to rest, as they entered the gates he analyzed the surrounding soldiers and the general area, he was just glad they got out of that damn cold, and hopefully, they would be able to mourn Reiner's death.

 

Alexander walked beside Catrain, "I expected a simple mercenary job, but look at where we are now, in the middle of a conflict that may as well have started a war, this was one hell of a turn of events don't you think?" he commented about the situation, "I don't know about anyone else, but im willing to follow this through to the end...Varius is in danger from this as well, I can't allow that" Alexander spoke, patriotism could be felt from his voice, "What about you Catrain? what are you going to do now?" he asked an obvious question.

"Yeah... I never would have expected us to suddenly be thrown into a larger struggle. I thought this would just be like any other job..." Catrain agreed. "Of course, I'll also be sticking around here. I won't let innocent lives be lost in this conflict." She spoke in a stern voice, her instinct to save others making her determined to do her best for the other mercenaries. She just hoped that this wouldn't lead to a war, though she had a feeling it would...

When she and her two guards were called, the Princess let out a loud, uncontrollable wail. She stood slowly though, bringing Evelyn with her. Taking the mage's hand, she walked to the man.

"My...my brother and guard, Prince Reiner of Dormus, is dead. Evelyn here will fill in until I am able to find my personal guard."

-Arcelia-When she and her two guards were called, the Princess let out a loud, uncontrollable wail. She stood slowly though, bringing Evelyn with her. Taking the mage's hand, she walked to the man."My...my brother and guard, Prince Reiner of Dormus, is dead. Evelyn here will fill in until I am able to find my personal guard."

"But.. you highness, the Khans orders were..." The guard tried to make sense of his orders, but then Wolt got up, now with bandages on his left hand. "It´s Ok.. she´s not usually taking orders very well. We can take care of it, there will not be troubles for you. Armad, Brooklyn, Maggie, shall we go?" he said while keeping a somehow stressful face.

Armad nods. "Aye..." He nods as he heads to the arranged location. Upon arrival he immediately searches it for the safety of the princess

Arcelia bristled, and if Wolters hadn't spoke, shit would have gotten extremely real at that moment. She did not let go of Evelyn, her glare so powerful she might topple a castle with it.Then she turned to Wolt. "...thank yoh, Wolt." She looked away. "...but I would prefer Evelyn to stay close...no offence. But I...I'm not in a good state of mind."

After Ei hit the wall spitting blood from his mouth Yany quickly realized what she'd done "Oh no!" said Yany worried. Yany quickly transformed back into her normal form rushing over to Ei "Ei are you alright! I shouldn't have put so much force into that attack, I'm sorry. Please let me take you to the infirmary Ei" said Yany feeling bad for what she did. Yany took Ei's right arm putting it over her shoulder to get Ei on his feet.

Brooklyn joined them as the rumbles of the Guard echoed into the kitchen. As Arcelia made her audible cry, Brooklyn could only resist his words, they fought his better judgment, but he kept them as his thoughts. "It's a tough time. We're all in pain. But if she is to be our leader, or in the least the ruler of her land when it comes to it,she needs to toughen up..." His thoughts could almost form a visible steam cloud from his ears, but he kept them to himself. "I will follow. Lead the way, good sir." Was all he responded with.

"Honestly... I did get bored sometimes but ive learned that I live to make others smile... To give them a reason to Dance and sing... Its euphoric to me." Faaron replies as he seems to calm down. "As for Naazir.... Well its ok. I mean, its just what i call home."

"Huh, learning to live to make others smile..." Maggie thought it over. "That is a beautiful philosophy."

"But.. you highness, the Khans orders were..." The guard tried to make sense of his orders, but then Wolt got up, now with bandages on his left hand. "It´s Ok.. she´s not usually taking orders very well. We can take care of it, there will not be troubles for you. Armad, Brooklyn, Maggie, shall we go?" he said while keeping a somehow stressful face.

The thief looked over to the others at the princess' cry, and listened to the guard and Wolt's words. "They want me to come too? Umm... Ok." That didn't make much sense to her, but questioning and making the situation even more confusing and stressful didn't seem like a good idea at the moment. She went over to stand by Brooklyn.

After Ei hit the wall spitting blood from his mouth Yany quickly realized what she'd done "Oh no!" said Yany worried. Yany quickly transformed back into her normal form rushing over to Ei "Ei are you alright! I shouldn't have put so much force into that attack, I'm sorry. Even as Arcelia got up from her wailing, Evelyn was once again dragged along with her, but she did not object nor did she resist. She went along without a complaint or a doubt in her mind or heart. Even as Arcelia mentioned her as a fill-in Guard for her, Evelyn went along without a fuss.

"I'll stay with you, Princess. For as long as you need me." She said to her after she stated her preference for the Mage to stay close.

"Right!" Alexander agreed wih Catrain immediately, nodding in response and a smile, "Lets do our best, for the others" he said in a serious tone, he then looked around, seeing an arena in the vicinity, "Hey Catrain, wanna train a bit? I think some training would do nicely right now, get our minds off of whats happening at the moment." he proposed.

Lenord was getting bored, as he felt reading his tome wasn't going to do much, He looked at everyone with a curious look on his face. He wanted to get some training in before the next mission. He didn't want to get defeated out in the next mission. "Hey, guys, any of you want to train with me?" Asked Lenord, asking everyone a question.

Faaron smiled after hearing Maggies response to his philosophy. "Thank you" he told her before she left. Faaron then looked over at the remaining mercenaries. "I suppose this life would be fine.... So many people. So many differences..... How well will they fare?" He muttered to himself
