(Before we begin, I feel like I should bring this up: This is a reboot of an older RP I hosted that ended up dying, which was in turn a reboot of another old RP. For those who were in the original Fade Into Light, this is going to have a similar plotline, although I've changed some things around to keep it fresh. Also, this isn't just for the people who joined the original. I'd love to see some new people join in, too! With that out of the way, let's get on to the main event.)

 

Long ago, the seven Guardians of Light faced the thirteen Guardians of Darkness in a battle to save the worlds as we know them. This battle ended in a victory for the Guardians of Light, bringing about an era of peace for the worlds. After the battle, the heroes who saved the worlds went off to train new guardians to retain order. Some took on pupils and trained in private, while some other masters joined together to train larger amounts of students. These organized groups of students and masters, eventually dubbed "Keyblade Academies" by those involved, worked to protect the worlds they had been founded in. New Keyblade wielders learned of their powers, and worked together to maintain the balance between light and darkness. Since the first time in many years, true peace had been found...

 

However, this did not last long. A small group of warriors harbored a deep hatred for the darkness. This hatred continued to grow, until they decided that the world would be best with just light. These radical warriors dedicated their lives to eliminating the darkness. They viewed the old masters and their students as the enemy, as they advocated for the balance between light and darkness. The warriors remained in hiding to avoid detection by their adversaries, and continued to induct new fighters for their cause. Now, they intend on striking against the academies and darkness under the name of "Seekers of Light..."

 

Rules/Additional Information:

1. No godmodding or controlling anyone else's character(s). This will result in a warning, or potentially an immediate removal from the RP.

2. I have a limit of up to two characters for each participant. If you only want to create one character, that's also fine, of course!

3. Please keep content in this RP at a PG-13 rating. If you have any questions about the content of your post, feel free to ask me ahead of time!

4. While I intend for everyone to make a hero character, I will allow a few people to make members of the Seekers of Light as well. However, this will be limited, and I will probably be more strict about these characters. If you'd like to make a villain, send me the sheet in PM. I will make an announcement when we have enough members.

6. If you go too long without posting, I may give a warning. I understand if you are busy and forget to post (I often fall into that same boat), but if you know you will be busy ahead of time, please let me know so we can figure out what to do with your character while you can't post.

7. As the host, I will inform anyone if they do something against the rules. Also, Sabre Lily is the co-host, and as such, he is also allowed to give warnings.

Appearance: Indy has black hair reaching down to his eyes, partially covering them, and blue eyes. He typically wears a red jacket with a blue shirt underneath, and blue pants.

Bio: Indy was born and raised in Radiant Garden, along with his twin sister, Allitt. At a young age, it was discovered that the two could summon and use a Keyblade in battle. As a result of this, they found the Radiant Garden Keyblade Academy and trained there. The two were incredibly gifted with their new weapons, although Indy was typically more serious about studying and training than his sister was. Despite making a few friends in his classes, he still spent a lot of time with his sister. However, he eventually noticed that the two were getting more distant. Allitt seemed to have developed a distaste for darkness, which somewhat upset her brother. Eventually, this drove her to leave the academy to join a rogue group of warriors fighting the dark. Indy attempted to stop her, but failed horribly. He blamed himself for being unable to stop her, and since then, ended up being much more serious about improving in his skills. He desired to go travel the worlds in order to find his sister once again, hoping he could bring her back to the academy...

Keyblade: Indy wields the Burning Ambition, a keyblade with length similar to the Kingdom Key. The guard and teeth are red, while the shaft is black. The teeth are shaped like flames. This Keyblade allows for greater offensive power.

Light/Dark: Dark

Appearance: Allitt has blonde hair reaching down to her waist in the back, and down to her eyes in the front. She also has blue eyes, similarly to her brother. In a contrast to her brother's clothing, she would typically wear a simple blue shirt with black shorts. However, this has changed since her time with the academy, and she now wears the uniform of the Seekers of Light.

Bio: Allitt enrolled in the Keyblade Academy at the same time as her twin brother, Indy. The two were both talented fighters, but Allitt spent more time messing around than her brother did. She eventually became known as a bit of a clown, and not many people took her seriously. Indy was the only person she really called a friend at the academy, and the only other person who seemed to view her as a competent fighter was her self-proclaimed rival, Raidyn. After a few years at the academy, she learned more about the battle between light and darkness. She viewed darkness as the cause of this conflict, and began to harbor a hatred for the darkness. This hatred grew, and she was eventually met by a member of the Seekers of Light. She battled her brother, and left the academy to join the Seekers of Light and destroy darkness...

Keyblade: Allitt's Keychain is known as the Deep Freeze. It is similar in appearance to Aqua's Rainfell, but with a lighter color scheme. It offers a decent balance of strength and magic.

Despite her stature, she has proven to be stronger than she appears. She is cheerful and very playful, easily distracted with anything else that catches her interest. She is very trustful of people, and likes to see the good in everyone, despite this causing her obvious problems from time to time.

Sandrew is technically drastically diffrent. Though he seems happy, he is far from excitable, preferring calm activities and jokes and fun/peace. Her training and personality basically make her the Red Oni to the Blue Oni that Sandrew is. Brooklyn won't be returning because despite most of his actions being jokes and just for fun/not breaking continuity technically, a lot of people hated him in this RP, but honestly, when Brooklyn comes from a school environment, he lacks motivation to be his normal self and take things seriously.

Besides him being the second smartest being in the entirety of existance, making school easy for him, he is also technically the only canon enemy besides Kain that beats Derik, thus showing how high his skill is, and by relation, he is also highly skilled here as well, only inflating his ego farther. Without the subservience of Destiny to keep him in check, he becomes a cocky prick. Other than the fact that he was a Jokester, I'll be honest, I didn't like him much either, at least in this setting. As such he won't return. Sandrew won't be an ass, though. He has always been in school, it's natural for him. He isn't greatly intellectual, or powerful. He is everything that Derik and Brooklyn are not. In exchange, he is also the sweetist, kindest, and actually exibits more normal of the three. Where as Brooklyn is incredibly smart, clever, witty, and skillful, and Derik is an ideal hero but Corrupted by the evil in the world and then washed, left with a incurable stain, and sat to dry on an old clothes line, Sandrew is more relatable. He hates the idea of war, fighting, all of it. He isn't afraid to take a stand, but only desires for love and peace, something that is relatable and almost realistic. He struggles being useful in much other than cooking, and multiple kinds of games/logic, but he isn't any better than average person at these. Normal life is normal for this very average boy. Derik would just get annoyed by the setting and get bored by the weakness of everyone around him, and without a loved one to really snap him into reality, life it just a game to him. And without destiny keeping him in check, Brooklyn becomes a bit of a asshole. I should have noted it sooner, like the first time this RP aired, that he would be the best of my characters to do.

 

Although I personally relate to Derik's mindset on a number of things, (not all, mind you.)and Brooklyn has my favorite personality out of them I like to portray when done right, I like Sandrew more than all of the above. I find him to be the favorite child. I hate that in the end, no matter what story it is, he perishes somehow, but his role in life is to be the supporter and healer, it's his job to work as a martyr for Brooklyn and Derik/other he works with. He is more powerful than he knows or can accept, but he only puts this towards protecting people. He has only ever killed a few times, canonically, and death disturbs him, and as such avoids it at all costs. He even defends people who have in the past shown they deserved to be destroyed because he always wants to find the other way out, and he is often able to do it. He sees the light in everything, every one, and every where. Sandrew is that silver lining on a storm cloud, and I love him for it.

 

Ironically, Sandrew is the poster child of people loving him, and Derik is the scorn of the earth, but they admire each-other and desire to be more like one another because they have qualities they both wish they themselves had. Derik wishes he could be more kind, gentle, peaceful, cheerful, and forgiving like Sandrew. And Sandrew wishes he could be as decisive, level-headed, confident, powerful, and brave as Derik. In their final battle together, Derik decided to take mercy on their final opponent, as per Sandrew's wish. However, this opponent is so much stronger than anticipated, this nearly leads Derik to his demise. Instead, Sandrew does the most dangerous thing possible and saves Derik. In result, he lowers the final enemy's health and strength to acceptable levels, but in return erases his soul from the fabric of reality. Canonically, Derik treats Sandrew like his second child, and Sandrew looks up to him after seeing the world through his point of view, to the point that he could consider him his second father. Of course, this is heartbreaking to Derik, and so he promises to finish it because Sandrew requested he only ever be the person he is before dying.

 

With this, Derik does the same thing, but as he is of course lightyears stronger than Sandrew, he is able to do it properly and finish the job. Barely. But of course Sandrew is now gone. And even the man above gods can't bring him back. Not the same way. And of course, this crushes him, nearly as bad as the loss of his first. The world has taken everything from him. But he heed's Sandrew's last words. He stops crying, though the pain is and always will be in his heart, and he leaves the field. No cheers, no joy. The only thing left there, amongst the cosmic dust and partial land left, are four swords, a dagger, and a statuette of a rapier. Derik has decided to go home. It's finally over. Finally.

Bio: As a young boy he had many talents, nothing was out of reach for him. His parents were vary proud of him, but his brothers were jealous. When  he grew to be 19 he found out about the magic he could use which made his brothers even more jealous. This was the brothers last straw, they went to him while he was alone with wooden swords and started charging at him. He saw this and he thought that they were going to train to but soon realized the truth when one of them hit him for the first time, he bleed from his head and soon after two Keyblades materialized from his hands. That wasn't the only thing that changed either, his whole dimener changed as well causing him to kill his brothers. He let go of the Keyblades after the fight and callapsed onto the ground causing the Keyblades to vanish. He woke up with his head thorbing and he didn't remember anything after, when he finally stood up he saw his brothers' dead bodies around him and blood on his clothing. He couldn't remember a single detail, and when he ran to his mother he was kicked out and cast away from his home. He left home and went to train for 4 years honing his skills in magic and Keyblade wielding.

 

Without Keyblades drawen he is fragil person, only thing he can do his magic. He is kind, caring, never argues with anyone, and will help anyway he can.

With Keyblades wielded he is ruthless, reckless, fast, and has a murderous aura around him.

Keyblade: Dawn Taker is a nightmare black color, with a white line on the back of the blade, and the hilt is crescent moon shape with a skull at the end of the chain.

Dawn Bringer is a yellow/white color with a black line on the back of the blade, and the hilt is circular with a sun at the end of the chain.

Lesson learned... try not to post sign-ups the night before a school day, or you'll come back to three pages of posts to catch up to. ._. I'd like to see a little bit of a bio, but that's all this sheet seems to be missing. Like Riki mentioned earlier, I'd prefer humanoid characters, sorry. I have to turn down Vaan. As for Astron, is he a villain? We're not fighting the darkness in this roleplay, so I wanted to make sure I understood what your intention was with him. Also, his sheet is a good start, but like Riki also said, I feel like his sheet might need to be tweaked a bit to fit with the story. Accepted! Accepted! Accepted! Accepted! ... He isn't helpless. Your supporters are just as important as your tank, DPS, or healer. And he isn't a half-bad magician, given he is aloud to primarily focus on it. The only thing is he isn't physically strong, and has low stamina because of this. By no means is he weak as all hell, if we gave each of my mains a designated role, Derik is Tank, Brooklyn is DPS, and Sandrew is Mage/Support.Also that's mean as hell.

Technically, Sandrew is one of my mains and she has seen him preform before. Bit by no means was he too damn weak to do anything. Hell, one of her favorite mains weild's one of his swords from that incarnation. The biggest thing he brings is being resourceful.
