Radiant Garden- Keyblade Academy

Ordinarily, the Radiant Garden Keyblade Academy was rather quiet, at least by the standards of a school. Not much happened, and it was rare for any sort of exciting events to happen in the years of peace that the world had experienced. However, on this particular day, that was about to change. The Masters of the Keyblade Academy were about to send a group of students off on what would be the most important journey since the one taken by Master Sora and his friends in the past. The previous day, almost 20 students had received letters from Master Sora. Each letter shared the same message, though with slight alterations to include the name of its recipient:

Dear (Student),

Hello, this is Master Sora. I would like to let you know that you have been selected to participate in a very important mission. This journey could take a short time, or many months. I apologize if this interferes with your busy schedule, but you will be excused from all missed lessons during this time period. I would like you to convene just outside the Academy tomorrow at noon, by the fountain. You will receive further instructions at that time. I wish you and your fellow companions the best of luck on this journey!

Sincerely, Master Sora

This particular letter and mission were unknown to those who were not participating, unless a participant had informed them ahead of time. It was just the small group leaving on this quest who had any sort of knowledge as to what they were about to face...

Indy arrived at the fountain early. He hated arriving late, and as such, arriving at a meeting very early tended to become something he'd been known for. Noticing that no one else had arrived, he decided to sit down on a nearby bench, waiting for his fellow students to file in. He knew that his best friend, Raidyn, would be going along with him. Aside from that, he had no clue who all would be joining. He just hoped that they would all be ready for whatever they'd need to face. As he sat, he became lost in his thoughts. This mission could potentially mark his first time ever leaving his home world of Radiant Garden. He could finally go out and see more worlds. He could meet new people. Most importantly, he might finally have a chance to track down the person he'd been trying to find for years... He managed to look calm for the most part, though he could feel his hands shaking with excitement. This could very well be the moment he'd waited years for.

(I don't like over posting so I am waiting for more people... And what do you mean tournament matches?)

(In Team A they're doing a tourney. Haven't been paying too much attention to that though xP)

(In regards to Team B... I don't really have much to add at this point. Scrap and kh45 are probably in similar boats. KKD and Reyn/Spider have been AWOL for a while. Not sure about how Kunivas functions. Not sure what Oath/Sabre is doing, but he's prolly busy. Aaaand Axel's probably gonna be busy for a bit too.)

(Also, exams are a thing and they're a bother. Only reason I'm here is cuz my study game rn is pretty terrible.)

Somrene was forced to use both hands to block the blow, but was still pushed backwards, nearing losing his balance and tipping over. Meanwhile, Ember was busy dashing across the arena, building up speed, her keyblade in her hand. Once she thought she was near enough, she executed Blizzard Dash, ice crystals coating her blade as she cut across Toshi. Somrene also took the opportunity to start dealing some damage, and cast Gravity on Toshi, then ran up and swung Rapture rapidly three times.

"This is it!"

"Got it."

Ember leapt into the air and shot down a huge blast of ice right down onto Toshi. Somrene focused down on this next move, closing his eyes as he cast the spell, flames surrounding his body in a fiery aura. With the ice in place, Ember fell to the ground. She rolled to reduce the impact of the fall then called to Somrene.

"All's prepared." She said in a chipper tone. Somrene's eyes opened, and his eyes were nothing but flames.

"Good." He blitzed forward, breaking into the middle of the ice crystal, then exploded violently, the heat and pressure hurling partially melted chunks of ice all around. Ember deflected one that flew towards her, and her brother slumped to the ground exhausted. Should have been enough though.

"Aaaaaah!" Toshi cried out, receiving the full brunt of every attack that Sonreme and Ember landed.

She was sent onto her back for the last time, Protector disspearing from her grasp as she lay fatigued and badly hurt...

Is... is this it? I... She thought, barely able to focus her thoughts due to the rushing flood of pain in her head.

"Is the match over?" Somrene growled loudly to Phil. "We need to get her a medic." He said, having already dismissed his keyblade.

<Memories>

"You can heal him, right?" 8 year old Annistha asked, almost in tears.

She held onto her brother's left hand as a master checked on Zather's injured right hand.

"Annistha, would you please stop squeezing?"8 year old Zather asked in a nonchalant tone. "No need to hurt both my hands."

She let go instantly, and started to cry a little. Zather's usually flippant demeanor cracked as he laid a comforting hand on his sister.

"It wasn't your fault." He said softly. "The blades slipped. I should have held it stronger."

"But I hurt you." Annistha sobbed. "You're all I've got, and I nearly killed you."

"No, you didn't." Said the master, matter-of-factly. "Just a simple flesh wound. A simple Cure spell would be more then enough to fix this right up."

Annistha gave the master a look of incredible relief and thankfulness. Zather, on the other hand, gave the master a suspicious look.

"And the catch?" He asked. "If it is as easy as you say, you would have done it."

The master nodded.

"Not a catch." The master scolded. "A learning experience."

He shifted his eyes to Annistha.

"You feel guilty about cutting your brother's hand." The master said. "You should heal it."

Annistha's eyes widened.

"But I don't know any healing spells, Master." She objected.

"High time you learned." He answered. "You have an amazing gift for magic, Annistha. Learning to heal is just one way you can use it to better the worlds."

Annistha bit her lip, but nodded. She would learn. A few minutes later, after a couple failed attempts and a meltdown, she healed her brother's hand.

Annistha opened her eyes and smiled.

"I got something." She said triumphantly.

"Anything good?" Zather asked, sounding a little distracted.

"Me learning how to use a Cure spell." She answered. "Touching moment between you and me."

Zather nodded.

"Share it later." He said, still sounding distracted. "You can cast the spells."

"Yes." Annistha answered, standing up from her cross legged meditation position. "What's been happening?"

"Nothing useful on our target." Zather reported, referring to the mysterious girl Indy and Rei had talked to. "Cloud Strife is competing. And Toshi may need some medical aid."

Annistha took a moment to consider the events, then nodded.

"Alright. Want to shake Cloud's hand after we lend one to Toshi?"

"No. He may be good, but he would be better if he didn't use such an impractical weapon."

Annistha chuckled.

Annistha jumped up and ran down to the side of the arena, where Phil stood.

"I can heal Toshi's wounds, if need be." She offered, give Toshi a worried look.

After walking in silence for awhile Raz spoke up, "So... Joel." Raz calls behind him, "Tell us your story, how did you get your keyblade... I mean we do have a right to know right?" Raz said putting an arm around Max, grabbing Saki and wrapping his other arm around him smiling at both of them. His smile fades and looks at Joel, "So... Tell us what cruel things you did to get your keyblade."

Allitt trudged along at the back of the group, not bothering to join in on any conversations. In fact, she was more focused on trying to not lash out at Raz. She could tell that his darkness was particularly strong... He at least seemed to be more of a threat than the others. Of course, She kept an eye on Zion as well. Not entirely out of distrust, although she didn't think the woman could be easily trusted. It was mostly to keep herself safe from any more oddly flirtatious advances she'd make. Her gaze kept shifting between Raz and Zion, although she was sure to keep an eye on the others as well.

As she walked along and observed the others, she couldn't help but think about what all had just happened. The thought of the Seekers casting her out was still difficult for her to come to terms with. Why would they do that so suddenly? She still wasn't sure if she could believe it. At the same time, she knew that most of them weren't fond of her... Maybe it was true after all... She hoped that they would find one soon so she could get answers, even if it meant beating them out of the first cloaked light-follower they came across. The thought of the academy students viewing her as an ally, or even as a friend, confused her as well. They had fought recently, and she wasn't on the same side as the group she now traveled with... Why were they so intent on befriending her? The Keyblade Master especially bothered her. If they had switched positions, Allitt would have killed her once she had the chance. Why did this woman spare her? Was it to question her afterwards? She began to wonder if Zion's infatuation over Allitt was just a ruse... There was no way someone could be that trusting of a potential enemy. Her focus now shifted towards Zion, and Allitt began to wonder what motive Zion could have for keeping her around...

"The winner of this match is Twilight Kin!" Phil announced, before being alerted that Toshi might need some help. "Oh, uh, right." he looked over at Annistha, who was already offering to heal Toshi. "That'd be great, kid. Thanks for the help."

Indy would have run down to help Toshi, but it looked like the situation was under control. I hope she doesn't take this too hard... He thought to himself as he looked at her.

While waiting for Toshi to be moved, Phil decided to announce the next match. "Next up, we have Lightdancer against Storm!" He declared.

Indy looked over at Rei. "Well... guess it's our turn, now." He spoke, still sounding a bit nervous. Ugh, I can't do this now! He calmed down a bit. "Ready to fight, Rei? Even if this is one of Master Sora's old friends, he doesn't stand a chance against the two of us!" He tried sounding slightly more confident.

Cloud watched Indy boast, and held back a laugh. The kid's mood seemed to shift suddenly, but his confidence was good. The man silently made his way towards the arena and waited for the others to help get Toshi somewhere safe.

Raz looked behind him and noticed Allitt watching him closely, he slowed down and started walking next to Allitt. He put an arm around her waist, "So, how are you... and what did you think about your teammates on Twilight Town, what were their names again?" He asked trying to trick her into give up their names, sadly he was giving of murderous intent giving away his true intentions.

"Oh brother..." Saki muttered under his breath. He was starting to become annoyed himself by Raz. He lifted up Raz's arm that was wrapped around him, walked around Raz and Max, and summoned his Keyblade and poked it between his arm and Allit. He lifted it up and then walked in between the two of them. "Sorry. But as a Street Rat and a boy with a reckless, but caring heart, I'm afraid I can't really trust you around her. Cause uh...You're a murderer." He said, de-summoning his Keyblade and putting his arms behind his head. He also had a calm look on his face. "I'm good at interfering, ya know?"

And then Zion stepped in, metaphorically. She floated with her back to Allitt's, touching, and just looked at the two while filing her nails.

"Raz, leave poor Allitt alone. Saki, thank you but I would appreciate you just coming to me. I cannot tolerate fights between students."

Allitt was prepared to get physical in dealing with Raz. However, Saki and Zion both stepped in. She was still mad that Raz had even tried touching her that way, let alone continued to bother her about something she didn't know about. While the fact that her and Zion were touching did slightly bother her, it at least made her feel a little safer from the murderous boy that had just been bothering her. She remained silent and still, managing to not move an inch. She was beginning to get a little concerned that moving would just make the situation worse. She still didn't know how much the others trusted her, and Raz worried her quite a bit. His murderous aura didn't help much in that regard.

Annistha jumped up and ran down to the side of the arena, where Phil stood.
"I can heal Toshi's wounds, if need be." She offered, give Toshi a worried look.

"The winner of this match is Twilight Kin!" Phil announced, before being alerted that Toshi might need some help. "Oh, uh, right." he looked over at Annistha, who was already offering to heal Toshi. "That'd be great, kid. Thanks for the help."

"Ugh..." Toshi moaned, gently sitting herself up. Not only did her body feel hit by a truck but her pride was just as damaged. Regardless of how long she outlasted Ember and Somrene, the result is still what she feared would happen: failure. She was too upset to even notice Annistha attempting to lend her some aid.

She looked down at her now aching hands. Her mouth formed into a deep frown, gritting her teeth as she begun to quietly sob.

Cloud watched Indy boast, and held back a laugh. The kid's mood seemed to shift suddenly, but his confidence was good. The man silently made his way towards the arena and waited for the others to help get Toshi somewhere safe.

"Good luck, you guys! Kick some butt!" Raidyn told his classmates, giving them both a thumbs up.

Turning his attention to the arena, he looked over at Toshi sitting on the ground. Her back was turned to him, and so her fit of crying was. At first, his lips curled as though he was going to frown in the same manner as she was doing at the moment, showing disapproval in her inability to fully utilize her potential. However:

"Hey Toshi! You did awesome out there!" He yelled, his lips instead furling into a big smile. "We should train together sometime!"

Toshi's head snapped back around, in complete shock at Raidyn's sudden burst of praise. Even as she looked on, she still found him smiling in approval.

With that, she looked back at her hands and had a moment of clarity. He... he thinks I'm strong... she thought, her frown evaporating into a smile. I guess I did well after all... I'm so relieved.

Maximillian only frowned as he looked at the scene, as he stepped forward a bit, to get in front of them as he walked. "It would be really nice actually, if we could just get to where we need to go without trouble please? we have a murderer in our team and someone that everyone else suddenly trusts...but me..." He said as he clearly mentioned allit in his statement as he simply began to walk again.

At this point, he was the only who distrusted her at all it seemed...she even looked like she hated everyone in the group...

"Hey, don't put me with these people... I don't trust her, where do you think we found her, I just want answers." Zar said getting angry with Max. "You should think before you speak you know, it might save your life." He said between gritted teeth. Zar grabbed Max's collar, but took a deep breath and let go of his collar pushing him a bit, "Let's just get this stupid mission over with, I want some sleep."

"I did think about what to say, nothing much else though" Max replied in a nonchalant tone, as he was soon grabbed by the collar as Max's expression changed slightly.

"...Bring it" Max let out a small mutter as Raz grabbed his collar before readjusting his clothing, "Well, that was something..." he said as he continued walking alongside the party.

After everyone had settled down after the commotions caused by Raz, Joel turned back to face the students behind him.

"Yo Raz. I'm not sure if you have the right to know, but I'll tell you a little something. I got my Keyblade during a moment of crisis. One could say that I had died at that moment and had been resurrected with a different life. But (bad 3am) poetry aside, I didn't have to kill anyone to get it. And I haven't had to kill anyone with it either... At least not yet."

Whether Joel had added that last part for effect... he wasn't entirely sure himself.

Zion looked pretty pissed. She grabbed Allitt's collar and dragged her pretty ass along. "March." She ordered everyone. "We have places to go, people to see, villains to topple, and this apparent center of all your problems ready to kill you. Let's get this over with so I can lock her up in the Dawn."

Saki nodded to Master Zion and ran next to her, along with Lisa tagging along behind him. "I'm more excited about the villains part! It'll be fun!" He said. But then he felt Lisa tapping him on the shoulder. She walked up next to him on the right and showed him that she had a dandelion. "A dandelion? You found one Lisa?" She nodded in response. She then skipped around Saki and next to the blue haired girl that was being dragged along. Lisa reached out the dandelion to Allit and giggled. "Hey...I think Lisa is giving you the dandelion as a gift, Allit. I think she views you as a friend, even as a Heartless!" Saki translated.

Allitt didn't like being suddenly dragged along. "Why am I the one you're doing this to? I didn't do anything! Why are you talking about locking me up, too? I told you already, I'm leaving as soon as I get the answers I need. You won't need to do that." She spoke angrily, trying to break free of Zion's grip. She didn't really do a great job with that, though. "Ugh, and I was actually going to thank you for helping me earlier, too... I take that back." She quit struggling and pouted. Of course, this was interrupted once Saki and Lisa walked over. They really still think that I'm their friend...? She would have argued, but given that she was already being dragged along with threats of being locked up on top of that, she decided to just take the flower. "... Thank you." She muttered, although she didn't face the boy or the Heartless.

Lisa giggled when Allit accepted the flower. And to show that she wasn't the odd one out, Lisa had her tail tie around Allit's foot and sat down so she would be dragged as well. And yet, she still giggled. Saki chuckled at Lisa's doing. "You trust her so much, you're willing to be dragged with her Lisa?" She nodded in response. "How funny is this? At first, she didn't like you and now she's being dragged with you! Heh heh! Now that's what I call loyal." Saki commented.

"Congrats!" Annistha said, patting Somrene on the arm as she jogged past to Toshi.

Murmurring "Heal", The Light Twin waved her hand, healing Toshi of her injuries. Her sobbing concerned Annistha, so she was about to offer some words of comfort and encouragement when Raidyn complimented her.

"Oh." Annistha thought. "Now it makes sense."

"Good job, Toshi." She said, offering Toshi a hand up. "Holding your own against two opponents is quite a feat."
