Imagine Xemnas throwing buildings so Pain starts using Almighty Push, then Xemnas summons the huge nobody dragon and Pain has to use planetary devastation. My inner fanboy would release.

 

THEN XEMNAS unleashes that huge form we never saw in KH2 (the one that was removed from the game, you can find the concept art online) So Pain uses the form of almighty push he used on the hidden leaf village.

If he throws any etheral blades or those shockwave balls at Pain: Shinra Tensei (Deva) or Chakra (Magic in this case) absorbtion (Petra).

 

If Xemnas summons the massive dragon: Chubaku Tensei (Deva), Shinra Tensei (Deva) or just summon those massive beasts (Animal).

 

If Xemnas moves at the speed of light and creates clones of himself: More balanced fight, but I think Pain may be a bit over Xemnas (remember that Pain can shoot loads of different weapons and destructive laser beams).

 

If Xemnas uses his ultimate move (when you have to tap X and TRIANGLE): Shinra Tensei (Deva) or Chakra (Magic in this case) absorbtion (Petra).

 

If Xemnas were to defeat Pain: Nagato will take the fight with all 6 powers used at the same time and fight Xemnas (although Xemnas may win as Nagato gets really tired after fighting as Pain).

 

 

 

In the end, I think Xemnas would have a hard time and would possibly lose, but it's hard to compare a videogame character with a manga one.

Pain powers can counter any of Xemnas easily, also i don´t know how Xemnas will avoid his soul bein eaten. Moreover Chibaku Tensei is enough for him to stomp Xemnas giant forms.

Well, Pain can transform into different animals, but I think he would need Panic to really be effective. Besides, Hades would probably keep them too busy to fight Xemnas.
