Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted November 19, 2015 - Henry Hansees - Walking over to where he could feel Rufus was located at, he did come upon a wrecked house, which seemed to have crumbled just a shrot while ago...he kneeled near it, but he didn't really see anything related to Rufus, "Teleportation..." Henry deducted as he got up, and went to catch up with Fiora again, only to see a, rather, familiar face walking around, heading for the town's exits, someone he had the displeasure of knowing during his time as an empire experiment, "Allit...not often you see her without her brother by her side..." he muttered. He soon dashed near here, standing a few meters of distance, "What the heck are you doing here Allit? and where is you dear brother?" Henry asked as he hoped she'd recognize his voice, albeit it was unlikely, "Knowing you, you're looking for a fight aren't you?" he asked. - Mikhail Crad - "But if you guys are up for it...a game of i've never?" Mikhail proposed, "The rules are simple, someone, in turns, will say "i've never *something something*, and whoever actually did such a thing, takes a sip of your drink, if you never did such a thing, don't drink." Mikhail proposed to lighten the mood even more, and if they were gonna die tomorrow, they mind as well have had a heck of a good drink the earlier day right? "Who wants to begin?" he asked, "If you guys want to play anyway." - Maxis "Prime" - "Well I am good looking I know." Maxis said back to Arianna, as she left the room, "But then so are you." he muttered as he cloacked and left, looking for something to do, seriously, this was a boring day for him, he didn't do anything the entire bloody day, and he was bored out of his mind..."If im not on a mission, I mind as well go take a nap, until further notice...or an email comes..." he muttered, as he went to his room, Or rather, his room with his stasis pod, which he would meditate and 'sleep' in. - Gabriel Stross - After a few good minutes of tinkering, and by minutes its meant hours, overnight, tired as all hell, gabriel finished setting up the Sahala mech's shield system, he found the problem, which was a conflict between its weapon systems and shields, and he had to configure it all, in fact, he had to re-configure the entire weapon systems, albeit not as hard as he thought, it was tiresome as it needed a lot of manual work, even with bots helping him out. "Gabriel, why not hire engineers?...oh yes, budget...and working on a team is boring right?" The Ai asked him, as Gabriel shook his head as if it was wrong, "So...no one is as qualified for this work as you?" it asked, as gabriel nodded in agreement, as he continued his work. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted November 19, 2015 ~Viridem~ "Well aren't you noble." Viridem scoffed after eating another bite of her delicious food. She took down another one before continuing. You'd be surprised how many people volunteered for Imperial Testing just because it guaranteed some time of luxurious living before they met an end. In any case, I decided that I would not relent to these pressures. That I couldn't just sacrifice my existence to the slums from whence it came. So, I worked hard... He had devoted his life to a pursuit that was nothing but helpful... Then why was he here! In his drunken rage, he had thrown the mug across the room and into the mirror. Both shattered as the beer began to stain the carpet. Great. He'd have to hire somebody to clean that up and then buy him a new mirror. Then again... Well, super liquor really. Vortludo laughed a bit at this, enjoying that Cobica had fallen yet again into this drunken state. He would never learn. And having the tables turned for once was nice, considering normally Vortludo was the butt of all of Cobica's jokes. Vortludo nodded, acknowledging it was his turn. "I have never met Emperor Korben. It never did turn out like that though. Once I was learned, I became a rebellious scum of the earth!" "Boy, do you think I've been around for a day?" Derik knew what kind of weapon his opponent was using, the Katana. Specialized for swift fighters with aggressive styles. No point in staying in Ryonne's range, at least not with him able to strike at Derik as he so pleased. The attack incoming, Derik chose to block the initial strike and move back with it. The overhead jab with the sheath was incoming, but so was Kylar's Shield. With the attack incoming, Derik pulled Kylar's blade in close to his right wrist, the flat edge sat cool against his skin as the clasp shot out and snapped into position, and Derik pulled the core blade out of the now shield-mode buster blade, and held it up again'st Ryonne's attacks, though they pushed him back and almost off of the ring. "This is a world that is controlled by idealization and determination, look at the man Korben, he decided he would rule. He made it so. And that is a skill you may have as well, should you truly try to. Honor, humility and courage in the battlefield are my idealizations. And so I will hold to them. What do you believe you're fighting for?!" With that attack evaded, for the most part, Derik charged right at Ryonne with his shield leading the way. However, he was ready with a little specialty attack. Sular glowed with a sudden blueish energy, ready for the next stage. "Ah, I see. Derik told me of your partner. He sense's some great things in him, he's a tough one..." Brooklyn had finally finished the dishes, even those that Viridem had recently soiled. "You, I don't believe he has met. But if you're able to keep up with this "Ryonne", then you and he would get along well enough." He washed his hands off, cleaning them of the left-overs, crumbs, and grease. The water wasn't exactly fantastic, but it did it's job. Drying his hands off with a drying rag, he smiled. Nothing like clean dishes and finishing said cleaning. "Hey, if you have time, could you go check on my friend in the other room? He's the blondish brown-haired kid probably napping away in the other room. I need to see if there is anything left of our house we can salvage..." He then vanished without a word through a portal, back to the remains of their home in the Capital City. The fire department had already put it mostly out, ember's remained but not much else, and the smell of soot and burnt photographs filled the air. "I always told Sandy to start using Digital cameras, told him the pictures last longer..."
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) -Nolan "Arkham" Vigil- Recomposing himself, he was relieved that Eclaire answered him so quickly. "Oh, Eclaire. I'm sorry to interrupt your rest, gods knows we all need it, but....something's on my mind. Gnawing at me...can we talk about the Mission the day after tomorrow? Properly this time, less thrones and extra people, ya know?" He inquired as calmly as he could. Normally, he'd find something to tinker with or something to occupy him to distract his inner emotions, but right now he had nothing of the sort currently, least nothing that could be done effectively, so he just had to keep his composure, which he excels at doing the majority of the time, appearing quite cool and in control, but still...it was always a mask... "You can stay in there if you wish, or come down here, either way works for me." Arkham went on to add, softening his voice a little. -Zanza Quinn- The teleport was a little rough, but nothing he couldn't handle. The same could not be said for his new acquaintance; Rufus, who fell to the ground, with Zanza barely catching him and adjusting him so his now unconscious face was looking at him as he laid him down, but kept his head in hand. "You okay? Hello??" He asked him, to no avail, but did not panic as he checked his pulse, a steady beat, he wasn't dead but he was otherwise incapacitated. "Hear me...what do you need?" He asked him in a more direct tone of voice, seeing if he could reach him, while also shaking him to try and rouse him. -Emperor Korben- "Certainly. Do come in." Korben answered her, inside he was puzzled, but otherwise stoic outside as he welcomed her in, noting she still seemed weak...worrying. Her words from that point on brought out emotions from Korben's Dark Heart that could not be seen currently, due to the Helmet, but his eye flames noticeably dimmed, the blue flames turned a lighter shade of smaller tongues of fire as he watched his Second-in-Command question herself and everything else, but was clearly quite startled by her change of attitude and springing towards him rapidly, before returning to a solemn mood, even seeing her go as far as to shed a tear while proclaiming his meaning in her life, ultimately questioning why they do what they do now. In a gentle gesture, Korben wiped away that tear of hers with his right index finger and spoke to her calmly and softly. "Ariana...to see you like this..." "...we do what we do, because if we stopped, the Empire would fall and the lands would become embroiled with chaos and disharmony...they need a leader, multiple authority figures, no matter how dark and how harsh they might be. We do what we do because it discourages fools from open rebellion on a massive scale....we do what we do because we still wish to further the advancement of Sapient Species and Technology.....we, do what we do because..." He turned away for a moment, before looking back at Ariana. "It's all we know now...and it's our path. Some things just...happen along the way...Eclaire and Arkham's betrayals, killing of my Generals, having to broadcast that they don't exist...the Goddesses dying, a strange presence within Plutia, your torture and enslavement of Chrysalis, giving her severe Stockholm Syndrome....my...external changes and your Mental State..." Korben spoke in an almost solemn manner himself as he reflected upon the past. "Sometimes....even I can worry....like now. I worry about you, Ariana...I worry your questioning of yourself will escalate, will deteriorate your mind and cause you to do something crazy...maybe it's...." He further pondered, wondering if it was her quicker and bigger exposure to Darkness than he that caused this to happen to her...she was once as composed and calculating as he was, but now Ariana was a ticking time bomb...and he had to defuse it before it was too late. "But I don't worry about the Order of Lux. They are gutless worms, Eclaire especially...I offered her purpose and she threw it in my face...to this day, the only one who accepted true purpose from me...." Korben then reached for his helmet and as he took it off, a power focused around him as he channeled what remained of his inner light, changing his face and removing the flames from his eyes for this moment as he turned to look at Ariana. "...is you, Ariana." His voice sounded normal for what was the first time in ages...this was what Korben looked like before he changed and he could only occasionally revert back to this due to his excessive Darkness and Corruption of his Soul and Heart choking his Light and destroying his appearance and ravaging his internals. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted November 21, 2015 ~Viridem~ The girl was about to protest, but Brooklyn had vanished before she had the chance to. How rude. That got irritating a lot, especially since the ability was so common. People just up and teleporting away before you were done with them. When she got into an argument or even just a discussion, she stuck it through to the end. She shook her head, but then did as Brooklyn had asked, moving into the other room. She found Sandrew exactly as the orange haired kid had described him. Napping on the table. She sauntered over, and knocked loudly on the table twice. "Wakey wakey Sleeping Beauty." Viridem said crassly. ~Ryonne~ Ryonne moved forwards, the shield not daunting him. "Excellent!" He cried, leaping onto the shield and off of it, firing another blast of light down towards Monster's head as he flipped behind his opponent. "With a name like Monster, I had my doubts." Ryonne slid to a landing, then fired off again from behind his opponent. He stabbed forward with his blade once within range, then brought his scabbard around for hit to the ribs. "But you at least have a passion, if nothing else." He pulled both weapons back closer to his body, then kicked out towards Monster's neck, firing off a few bullets at his legs. The shield was a problem, moving around it was difficult. If he wanted to land attacks he would need to do something about it. ~Rija~ Faster. Harder. Stronger. This is what pushed Rija through every single day. It was late in the evening at this point, and most everyone was asleep. But not her. Nope, time for the evening run. Most people would break under the intense workouts that the Soldier put herself through each and every day. Some also called her crazy. But when it came down to it, Rija just wanted to do what she could to help out. And if being the strongest she could was the best way, then that was what she would do. Rija had finished doing the small errand assigned to her earlier, and had true to her leader's intuition, found evidence of hacking into the imperial network, from two different locations. The Southern Langerdon outpost and the Citadel. She had reported these incidents as well as the briefing on the attack on the Southern Outpost to Korben before he had retired. The note from these so-called Crow's Eyes had not seemed to shake him, nor had the successful attack. But what Korben seemed, and what he actually thought were two very different things. Rija suddenly heard loud cries and other noises from just around the block. Shaken back from her inner thoughts, she increased her speed, and turned the corner. She was not in the "good part" of Langerdon, and had just happened upon two small time gangs picking a fight over turf. They were even going skin, no weapons involved in the brawl. It almost brought a smile to her face. No matter how advanced technology got, some things never changed. "Break it up!" She boomed, but almost jovially, as if she wasn't particularly worried. They were just kids. Her loud voice brought attention upon her, as anticipated. Glances were exchanged between the gang members, and almost in unity, they all picked up rocks and tossed them towards her. "Imperial scum!" "Go suck up to Korben bitch! He misses you already!" "Back off, you've never cared about us before!" More and more, constant belligerent screams and insults. She barely even felt the rocks due to her tanzynite empowered body. Rija bit her tongue. She pulled out Fire, and shot it off. It impacted a wall, and some rubble fell from it as the fiery explosion drew their attention. "Go home!" She yelled, much more loudly, and her tone was... like that of a person near tears. This time they listened, scattering like ants found under a log. Rija turned back towards the Palace. Why couldn't they see that she wanted to help? A place without government was a place with anarchy... And then where would those children be? Dead, in a gutter. Or dying from sickness in their bed. Hiding from bandits. But where are they now? Locked in the dungeons? Stealing for food? Signing up to be a test subject? Rija clenched her fists as she continued to walk towards the Palace. This is just a blip on the radar. Every civilization has a dark age, and they all have a golden one too. They just had to stick through it.

This is just a blip on the radar. Every civilization has a dark age, and they all have a golden one too. They just had to stick through it. Derik dropped back into a roll on Ryonne's using his shield as a pedestal, this boy was good at maneuvering, not going to be easy to slow him down, and blocking the incoming light shot following suit with this maneuver as well. "They only call me a Monster because of what I do. Not because of whom I am." Derik rolled to his feet, swinging his shield out behind him to block the next incoming attack, another beam. He then brought his arm back into his body, deflecting the stab and following attack at his ribs with the sheath. He used his shield as a battering ram of sorts at this point and pushed forward into Ryonne's close range, letting him block the kick and push the shot away from him. From here, Derik released the Shield and slammed the Core Blade back inside of it, and used a reverse double-slash to Ryonne's right side, letting Sular charge up a little more. (I will say, Yuffie, recently your understanding of spacing has improved greatly. Still not prefect on the weapon usage, however.) Sandrew drowsily rolled onto his side, a slight moan and a yawn later, between clinched eyes as he was just trying to readjust to the lighting, he apologized to the person who woke him up. He rolled off the table once his eyes had become able to process the lighting again, and stood with stretch of the arms. "I guess Brooklyn is gone?" he asked, reaching for his feet. Even after a short nap, he was never to ignore calisthenics. Gotta keep the muscles loose. (Dark alleyway? Time for Brooklyn) Though it was pitch-black, you would think it would have been easy to spot the orange-haired youth whistling as he walked down the alleyway. He had been down that way, trying to gather info on the man who had attacked him and Sandrew, but came up with little to nothing other than a variety of names. Most people just called him a monster, but as a sort-of knee-jerk reaction, he looked around for Derik, and instead saw an imperial soldier walking her way around. As he was rather curious why a Imperial was around at this time of night around here, he wasn't sure, he had decided to tail her in the alley's, keeping mostly to Void portals to spy and hide his presence. Something about her physique and take no shit attitude reminded her of Derik as well. Though the tech was something obviously different. When she appeared to be making a return to the palace, he decided to talk with her. No doubt that the man had probably made some sort of attack on the Empire, he seems to be one for stealing any powers he could get his hands on, no doubt someone of the Empire would know something. So he whistled, hands in his pockets. So he trotted along, counting her steps in his head. And with a passing act in acting clueless, he bumped into the woman on her way to the empire. "My apologies, miss...?" Edited November 21, 2015 by Guest
Vaude 536 Posted November 21, 2015 -Rufus Contralto- Being shaken startled Rufus awake, and he opened his glassy eyes to look up at Zanza, his image hazed over in weariness. "Apologies," he murmured, forcing himself upright. "Two was more than warranted for caution with back-summoning. Puzzling it is how the performance of such feats can be attained elsewhere." He looked at the rough and destructive winter waves that crashed against the beach, eroding it away. He found it very familiar with how he was feeling right now with the equally rough and destructive forces of magic, and he thought up a solution, the only solution his ragged and rat-holed brain was able to ponder. "Ale sounds like the boon companion for unacquainted survivors of flame's lapping tongue, do you agree? Care for a pint of Pasa's finest?" (Ready to time-skip, Kunivas?) Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 21, 2015 -Eclaire- "This is fine, Arkham. I am exhausted and I doubt I would make it back to bed." She stretched. "What troubles you?" -Victoria- She bit her lip. "Out for a stroll. Hoping to run into a cute guy to buy me drinks, ya'know. Just end a really long day and all. You wanna be that guy or should I look elsewhere?" Shulk 8,623 Posted November 21, 2015 Fiora Fiora was glad to see that Krea was still fine after the attack. After Jadis spoke of his concerns, she tried to help him calm down. "Jadis... don't blame yourself for this. I don't know if any of us could have stood a chance against those imperial soldiers who arrived." She knelt down and placed a hand on his shoulder. "If you truly want a way to get back at the empire for doing this, I can take you to a place that would help you to do that. It would be a serious mission, though. You wouldn't be able to back down whenever you want." After saying this, she acknowledged Krea's suggestion that they stay in the inn. "We can go there after resting. We'll stay here for the night, then head out in the morning. If you want to come with me to train and fight against the empire, I'll allow you to do so. You can make that decision tomorrow, after you've rested." She hoped that this helped ease his nerves. Allitt Allitt noticed the man who tried to stop her in the streets, but didn't recognize him. "Yeah, I was here for a fight." She considered trying to challenge him, but remembered that her arm was still bleeding. It would probably be smart to retreat for now and get that fixed. "I think I'm good for now, though. As for my brother, I'm sure he's off doing some very serious work for the empire right now. We're both on separate missions right now." She explained, preparing for a chance to run off. She decided to take it now. "Anyway, I'm a little busy at the moment. Hope you understand!" She exclaimed cheerfully, then ran off at full speed, hoping to get a good distance away. She didn't really have time to fight. (Sorry if you wanted a battle Scrap, but given that we don't have much time before we skip ahead, I figured I might as well end it off here. They can fight some other time if you want them to.) Indy Meanwhile, Indy was still involved with his "serious work." He began stuttering again after Victoria's question. Of course, instead of logically questioning why he was asking this way, he continued going along with her advances. "U-uh... yeah, I can be that guy." He finally managed to speak after a long pause. I'm... really bad at this. He thought, hoping he wouldn't say this one aloud. (I'm pretty sure that, unless Sabre has anything to add for Victoria, all three of my characters are ready to move on.) Shulk 8,623 Posted November 21, 2015 Indy "Uh... sure." Indy nodded nervously. "That's fine with me. You lead the way." He said, motioning for Victoria to begin taking him to the bar. Of course, he was still incredibly nervous around her. It was too late to turn back now, though. (Alright, finished with him for now. All of my characters are ready to move on.) Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted November 22, 2015 48 hours have come and gone, and now the rebellion is in the position to attack. Eclaire is orchestrating her big move, and everyone within the rebellion has their role to play. Meanwhile, there are others who still are trying to find where they belong, and others still who are nothing more than a nuisance or a distraction. A group within the rebellion is plotting to create some distractions within imperial territory, enough so as to leave the empire open for attack. It might just be, however, that the empire is more prepared than the rebellion may think, much as Azrael had forewarned. Will the empire have to regroup, or will The Order of Lux be annihilated? That remains to be seen, within the dust of war and blood. For anyone wishing to cover remaining plot points that were outstanding, please do so as a flashback or indicate that this was from a couple of days prior. : ) (On another note, I'll post for Ari's response to Korben soon; I just wanted to get something up for you guys to continue.) Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 23, 2015 -Eclaire- The Leader of the Order did not want to get up...she was exhausted, still low on magic, and in desperate need of a recharge...but with the Oathkeeper gone to get into position and no lover in sight, she needed to remain mobile and try and regain any and all magic power she possibly could. She needed it... Dammit, she nearly went to the mainland and started feeding without restriction. She was that close...that desperate. But her iron will won out. She hit the comm. "Arkham, you don't happen to know any hookers around here, do ya?" -Victoria- The girl was passed out, slightly hung over, and half naked. Sprawled on Indy's chest after her few days of getting any and all stress out of her system, the Goddess of Victory was actually having one of the most fantastic sleeps she ever had slept, and if she didn't have a mission she might not be wakable. But she did, so one could risk waking her. -Jeremy- The Captain of the Oathkeeper bit into his toast. Tense and on alert, his massive dreadnought slumbered under the coast. He was in position to engage should the distraction teams need backup, and he was ready. His crew on full alert, his pilots and mechs ready...he had amassed what the Rebellion desperately wanted - ex-military, ex-mercenary, even mages who flocked to his vessel. He was a beacon of both rebellion, insanity, and heartbreak. Something the rebellion wished to tap into. Something that he still wondered...but what soon, he would decide. -Tiriel- She sat atop the tower where Eclaire rested, armor off, clad only in a cloth tunic. She only slept in her Goddess' domain. Being an Archangel had it's perks. And so...she waited for the call to battle. -Chrysalis- The young girl was still fast asleep in Ariana's bed, so cute...so innocent...yet the collar on her neck still showed her captivity...but if Ariana was in the same bed at the time, the General would awake to find the small girl, despite how badly she was treated hugging her in her sleep, so innocently snuggling close to the person she had begun to call...mother. Shulk 8,623 Posted November 23, 2015 Indy and Allitt Allitt finally arrived back home, exhausted by her trip back from the burning city. She went to her room and changed into some lighter clothing, then decided to greet her brother. Oddly enough, he seemed to still be asleep... He was usually the type of person to wake up early. "Hey, I'm back home! You here?" She called into her brother's room, the door currently shut. Indy groaned and pulled a pillow over his pounding head. "Yeah..." He called back, though he immediately tried to fall asleep again. He seemed to be completely oblivious of the girl who was currently resting on him. At this point, the tracking spell's side effect had worn off. Given his current tired state, he wasn't quite attentive, nor did he recall the events of the previous day at the moment. His headache contributed to both of those, too. Unfortunately for him, his sister could tell that something was up. "Then why aren't you out here?" She asked, opening his door... only to see her brother lying down with a girl she'd never met before. She smirked at the sight. "Oh, I see... I'll... leave you two alone for a little longer, then." She tried to hold back laughter as she left the room and shut the door again, then retreated to her own room. Her brother was a bit startled by what his sister had said while teasing him. "Two...?" He removed the pillow from his face and looked down, spotting Victoria using his chest as a pillow. He was silent for a moment... Then came the noise. "What the heck are you doing here?!" He shouted, scrambling out from underneath her head. He tried to remember what happened... He'd spent a whole day with her. But... why? That wasn't like him at all, and he now realized that he felt nothing for her outside of anger. He thought back to when they met... She fell out of a tree, on that other girl... her. He didn't know how, but he had a feeling that the first girl that had tried seducing him was the one behind this. He was going to kill her if he found her again... However, his current concern was the girl in his room. Fiora After two days, Fiora had finally reached her destination: The base of operations for the rebellion. "This is it, Jadis... If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to speak to our commander for a moment. I can help introduce you to her, if you'd like." She offered, then went in the building. She hoped that Jadis was with her while she traveled, though she trusted the others in the building to make sure that he was safe if he'd gone off on his own. She made her way through the base, not really paying attention to any others who were present. Luckily for her, she wasn't the type to draw attention. She wanted to find out if anything important had gone on while she was away, and wanted to inform her leader about what had happened in Rhalsovich. She eventually reached her commander's room. She spent a moment trying to prepare to speak with her... She'd always gotten nervous around people of higher power, especially when it came to her leader. She never even knew if they knew who she was, thanks to her more quiet and shy nature... She knocked on Eclaire's door quietly. "Um... commander, are you in there? Fiora Fulmen... I-I'd like a moment to speak with you, if you wouldn't mind." She called, hoping for a response.
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 23, 2015 -Victoria- She was thrown off his lap, but with her hangover she only rolled into the covers, still asleep. She looked peaceful, cute even...and totally not waking from a little shouting. -Eclaire- The leader of the Order sat up, groaning softly. "Come in, Fiora." She called. Forget modesty, this was war...plus, if she was bi or lesbian the reaction could elicit a little food. So, she didn't really mind. She needed any bit of energy she could get right now...even if it wasn't the best.
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted November 23, 2015 -Emperor Korben- 48 hours...two days had come and gone, with Korben's Humanity subdued once more and his face aflame beneath his Helmet as he stood out on his balcony, looking over at his city and his Empire...yet he knew War was coming, even though he seemed about as calm as he can get to the untrained eye, he was angry inside at the very nerve of the Order of Lux, wishing to challenge him and his rule, and now it seemed a major attack from them was immanent...along with proof of their existence to the People of the Empire. His assassin; Shinobi, was fast...but even she would be unable to get to wherever their base may be in time to thwart such plans by ending Eclaire...it would be too easy nonetheless, so this plan working was unlikely, but damn it all if Korben did not try. "If those Rebels attack us...there will be no going back for them. They will suffer a painful, inescapable fate..followed by death by my hands...I and my Empire shall see to that." He said to himself aloud, while in his head he was thinking at the same time... "If they attack...where will they attack?" Korben wondered to himself. -Nolan "Arkham" Vigil- The past 2 days, Nolan was working non-stop after his talk with Eclaire. Clearly something about the talk boosted his morale, yet he still made sure to rest himself, lest he cause some damage to himself due to sleep deprivation. The computer on his desk then beeped and the screen changed to Eclaire addressing him, looking quite worn out herself, asking her about....hookers. "Sorry Eclaire, I'm not all that knowledgeable in Prostitution nor their locations...it's not exactly my specialty, far too much work for me to do and complete, that sort of thing, you know." His voice was calm as ever, modulated yet apparent. "Wish I could tell you though, because to be honest, you look like hammered shit. And you know me, worrying about you like an overprotective father or insecure husband. Then again, you worry about me more." Nolan said and spoke to-the-point and bluntly, beating around the bush also wasn't his specialty. "Still, the Masked Demon's intel has proven quite useful indeed. I still expect there to be surprises, you know Korben." He added.
Shulk 8,623 Posted November 23, 2015 Indy The imperial soldier was rather annoyed by the fact that the girl was still asleep. He grabbed her shoulders and lifted her up so that she was sitting, and glared at her, his face just in front of her own. "I asked... what are you doing here?" He growled angrily. If that didn't wake her up, he'd probably need to try something a little more... extreme. He wouldn't hurt her over this unless she frustrated him enough, but he was thinking of other ways he could wake her up. Fiora "Okay." Fiora took a deep breath and entered the room. She shut the door behind her, realizing that she might want to speak privately with the commander in terms of her report regarding Rhalsovich. If Jadis were to follow her, she didn't want to discuss it with him nearby. She didn't know if bringing it up might hurt the elf again... She hoped that, if Jadis had joined her in coming to Eclaire's room, he wouldn't mind it if Fiora spoke with the woman in private. However, what Fiora hadn't quite expected was for her leader to have just woken up. She blushed, worried that she'd disturbed Eclaire's sleep. "S-sorry to bother you, commander... There's something that I needed to speak with you about... Before that, though, there's a young elf named Jadis who I brought along... I believe that he may be helpful to us. I don't want to leave him alone, though, so if you have anyone you could send to show him around until I can introduce him to you... th-that would be appreciated." She explained, talking in a very quiet voice. Her usual shy nature combined with the awkwardness of seeing her leader after she had just woken up didn't help her to calm down much more. (Sorry if it seems like I'm ignoring Jadis, but I know that Sabre wanted Fiora to talk with Eclaire for a while, and we had to get this done quickly.) Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 23, 2015 -Victoria- The girl groaned softly. Now that she was up, Indy could see she only had a shirt clearly too big, and bare legs. She rubbed her eyes, and looked at him. "Hey. We had a wild night...I haven't gotten that drunk in a long time..." She rubbed her eyes. "...and...we went on a date? After that girl ran we went out, had a good time for two days and just got drunk and partied. Now we're here and I'm hung over...can I have some water?" -Eclaire- Just Fiora...and...dammit. She took a breath...tried to think of Akrham, get the comm and...and....shit. She couldn't, A flurry of petals and she had Fiora pinned against the wall. "I'm sorry." She whispered, before forcefully kissing the poor, awkward, unsuspecting girl. At once Eclaire felt her body heat up, the energy her succubus part needed being sated, at least somewhat....and she didn't stop for what seemed like eons, but was pretty much ten minutes of hardcore not going to go into excruciating detail kissing that would get me banned. Eclaire suddenly pushed away and fell back onto her ass, and looked...horrified. Utterly horrified...at herself. "Oh my god...oh god." She backed up until her back hit the bed...and she held her head in her hands. "No! No no NO! I...I lost control...oh god I lost control..." She looked up. "Oh god...Fiora? Fiora are you okay?" She shakily stood. "Oh god please don't tell me I killed her."
Shulk 8,623 Posted November 23, 2015 (... Well dang.) Indy "... What you can do is leave my house." He spoke angrily. He felt as though his reputation was at stake with this... He was a cold killer who didn't care about others. If anyone found out that he'd been tricking into doing this all due to a magic spell... He was nice enough to let her go, but he didn't care to help her with anything. He wanted her gone as soon as possible. "And keep quiet about what just happened. That girl must have been the one that did this..." He muttered the last sentence to himself, though it was still audible. Fiora Fiora probably would have had a panic attack over the incident if she hadn't felt so exhausted afterwards. For some reason, she was having trouble standing... Her knees shook and quickly gave in, causing her to fall to the floor with a short scream. She scrambled back up so that she was sitting on the floor, though she still felt dizzy. "I-I'm... o-okay..." She muttered, holding her head. "What... was that for...?" She asked, confused about what had just happened. "Why do I feel so... weird?" The more she thought about it, the more her head hurt. She had to calm down. She still had to deliver her messages to Eclaire... Although she was still curious as to why her commander had done that, and to her of all people.
Guest Posted November 23, 2015 (Time for a little "I'm Derik firetruck you" time, if I may.) The prior day didn't matter as much as now. Though he wasn't against the Rebellion, that didn't mean he took orders from them. Sandrew spent half the night before willing up a meal fit for a king, Derik's budget was something Sandrew loved to have on his side, at least when making a meal. With that out of the way, his energy restored from the match the night before, Derik decided his entrance must be made. One massive sonic boom over the Capitol later, and Derik stood floating in front of Korben, Korben's helmet of cool metal pressed onto Derik's burning hot skin. Flying the speed of sound wasn't something one could do without reprocutions like heat on the body from wind resistance, but that was a minor irk at best. He glared right into Korben's eyeholes, and poked around in his soul. Damaged, saddened, had a better hope for the world. Blah blah blah. This is the here and now. Derik was the executioner. "Remember me? Of course you remember me. I blew a wall in your castle the other day and accidentally stole a robot, then blew a hole in a frigit with nothing but my swords. I doubt that intimidates you, does it, oh omnipotent lord of this world?" The wind caught up with him, finally, bringing a rush of air carried on Derik's body from his flight, it smashed into the walls and provided cracks in the metalic build. "You are no god. You are no king. There are millions just like you. I was like you. I wanted nothing more than power. You're a lowlife who got a little lucky. Forget those who threaten your empire with a coup; I will kill you myself, not for the betterment of human society or whatever bullshit those Rebbels want you dead for. And once your dead take your bloodied face and smash it into the ground, lIke the rest. Here lies a would be king, a pretender. One who would rather control his people than be their leader. One who sees them as pawns and forces and numbers, and uses the plane to do so. You are no king, you are a fool, a liar, a manipulator and a killer. A power mad man not unlike myself. However, the difference here, between myself... is..." the platform Korben stood upon began to crumble around him. He was the Guardian of this world, and it was his job to finish this. "They call you a man. They call me a Monster. And monsters eat even the bravest, and strongest men for supper, and by no means are you any better than half of the men I have had to put in the fridge for leftovers ." He took his head away from the man's helmet, he knew staring down a man who thinks he is god will do no intimidation to him. However, he loved the drama factor it gave. "My name is Derik Jameson Absolon. The man of myth and legend, and I will be your skullcutter today. Would you like your head mounted on my wall or in a ditch where it belongs, because, I kill men lIke you, because firetruck you." He gave off a grin with the right half of his face, exposing his teeth. His K9 looked like a vampire's, long, sharp... and blood thirsty. As he flipped Korben off, and a black portal opened behind him... Korben's defense force had finally locked onto Derik, though they were prepared to fight the enemy, a human with no gear flying the speed of sound wasn't something you could account for, not if you had only seen it just a day ago. However, they were able to assemble themselves and lock on. No way he could escape, and they prepared to fire at him, when he vanished like smoke into an odd hole-like object that swallowed him up. Back at the Rebel base, Derik came through the void portal that Brooklyn had conjured to give Derik the ability to do his little intro shoe. In recent years, with all the advanced equipment, it's been much harder to do from what he was able to understand. No matter to him, he had never seen Derik preform his so-called job, and now was the time to let him do it. He bounced a tennis ball on the wall as Derik thanked him for his aid and walked away. He had construct himself a small forge the night before to allow him to tune up his equipment and armor before the fight, the man hardly ever needed sleep, and he had spent most of the evening before sharpening both of his blades, refining his throwing picks, replacing bad patches on his armor, so on. The midnight oil burned bright for him the night before, and was still burning until he took a seat in the kitchen, where the three of them had spent most of their time since arriving, and took a small nap. Sandrew, however, was as busy as ever. He idolized Derik, for some odd reason. It was his strength, hit tallent, he was good at so many things but Sandrew? He was a decent chef, that's it. He stood at the makeshift grindstone, refining his blade just as Derik did the night before. He sharpened and edged the weapon carefully. Next, whetstones, Derik always had a set in his workshop, never left home without them, either. After a while (and many cuts on his fingers) Sandrew sharpened his Breaker to perfection. He was pumped up for this, Derik was always so strong, and he was definitely the man the legends said he was, so getting to see him do his work was going to be intresting. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted November 23, 2015 -Victoria- The girl...sniffed. "I...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause you trouble..." She stumbled out of the bed, looking for her stuff. "Wh..where's my clothes? I...where the hell did we leave my stuff." she was probably overlooking them, her head pounding from Indy almost yelling at her to get out, and her hangover. She whimpered, and actually tripped on something, falling flat on her face. "...firetruck me." -Eclaire- She grabbed some soda from a small fridge and rushed over. "Drink." She seemed panicy. "Fiora I'm part succubus. I replenish energy through sexual means, and that kiss was me losing control. I haven't fed in awhile and...and I couldn't hold myself back. I am s...so sorry...and...and I understand if you want to press charges against me for sexual assault." Yes, she was saying she'd submit to a court marshal. Why? Because she was holding herself to the same standards as everyone in the Rebellion, and she would not find exception here.

Shulk 8,623 Posted November 23, 2015 Indy The soldier sighed, and pulled Victoria back up to her feet. He noticed some items that clearly didn't belong to him that were lying next to his bed, and pointed them out to Victoria. "There. Those look like they're yours." The angry tone was still in his voice, but he tried to calm down. Having this girl cry in his room would just make things worse for him. "Take them and go back home." He ordered. Maybe if she saw his more... aggressive nature, she'd get over it sooner. The last thing he needed was a girl trying to win him over. Thankfully, given her reactions, it seemed like that wouldn't be a problem for him. Fiora Fiora took a drink, hoping that would help her stop feeling so weak. She quietly listened to Eclaire's explanation, and once it was over, she shook her head. "N-no, commander... You couldn't control yourself, right? I won't get upset about it." She spoke weakly. "At least you should be all better now, right?" She tried to point out something positive and smiled, hoping to make Eclaire relax. "I-I'm sorry if I made you worry..." Trying to calm down her leader caused her to almost forget the reason that she'd arrived here in the first place. "Oh, that's right!" She tried to stand, but lost her balance and nearly fell over again. She propped herself up against a wall to keep herself from ending up on the floor a second time. "A-about the boy that I mentioned earlier... I have a report from my most recent journey, ma'am." She recounted her tale of meeting with Jadis and Krea, and visiting the town of Rhalsovich to help heal their friend. She explained that a powerful imperial soldier arrived with a young girl at her side, and described the girl's powerful attack that devastated the entire city. Unfortunately, she didn't know the names of the two soldiers, which she apologized for. However, she felt it necessary to describe both the woman and the girl. After her long report, she felt exhausted again, and slowly sat down.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) -Ariana- -Two nights prior- The dark-haired general drew in a breath, tentatively bringing a hand up to meet Korben's cheek. He was real--human again. She'd almost forgotten what his face looked like, or that he even once had one behind the armor. "So this sacrifice," she whispered, voice cracking, "this is all worth it? We're doing this for the good of everyone, even if we're no longer who we used to be?" It was a lot to take in and a lot to process. Too many thoughts were spinning in the dark woman's mind, so much so that she no longer even knew what she thought. Determination and purpose, however, would keep her head straight, even if it meant shutting off all of those thoughts or impulses that dictated her actions differently. After a long silence Ariana brought her hand away from Korben's cheek, her eyes still fixated on his. "And I will remain fulfilling the purpose you've given me. Thank you, my liege. I will do whatever it takes to keep this empire strong and to keep the Order of Lux underfoot . . . where they belong." (Don't worry, Kunivas; you don't have to respond to this if you'd rather continue forward. I just wanted to create a response to that touching scene before it was too late. It would also clarify Ari's next course of action.) -Present- It seemed that she'd been watching the clock tick for hours at her desk. Once every hour she would get up to pace, from the windowsill and back, while Chrysalis remained sleeping peacefully in her bed. She didn't know what the Doctor would inject in her, or who would drag her in chains or whip her, so in her presence she knew that Chrysalis was being guarded and taken care of. Korben's words still rang in her ears from a few nights prior, creating more conflict in her heart than had been there previously. When she joined the empire she knew her goals and she knew what she must do, and yet . . . she couldn't tolerate taking the lives of innocents or torturing anyone anymore. Finally she slammed a fist against the oaken desk, causing the vase of flowers beside her to fall on its side and spill. "What is wrong with me." Ariana rose to her feet, her long ruby cloak billowing around her as she spun on heel and strode over to the bed. She took one long look at Chrysalis, her young face so sweet and pallid, before reaching over and grasping her shoulder, shaking it violently. "Get up now, girl," she hissed. "Come. You are going somewhere." She retrieved a small black cloak resting on a trunk and threw it over Chrysalis's small form. "Put this on and follow me silently. Make no sound. Tell anyone who asks that your name is Rika and that you are my niece, but that is all. Don't ask me any questions until I say so." After fidgeting in her pocket for several moments she withdrew a keychain, expertly finding the small silver key she desired before snapping it into Chrysalis's chain collar. It clicked before unfastening, allowing Chrysalis' dark mistress to slide it from her neck. -Jadis- The youth barely nodded when Fiora left his side after explaining where she was going. Silently he waited in the hall, watching the birds flutter about outside the window and listening to the grandfather clock chime at the end of the hall. Minutes passed quickly, and he was mildly surprised that Fiora hadn't returned yet. Jadis fidgeted, biting his lip. He knew better than to poke around places, especially with authority being so near, but just when he thought to stay where he was he heard some shouting come from the direction that Fiora had disappeared to. A frown furrowed Jadis's brow. That was certainly odd. Were they disagreeing? Silently Jadis tiptoed across the carpeted hall until he reached the door that Fiora had disappeared behind. He heard voices inside but couldn't make out what they were saying. He placed a long ear against the door hesitantly, before finally knocking and opening the door a crack. "Uh, Miss Fiora?" He saw the young woman sitting on the ground, which made him arc a brow. Also in the room was a rose-haired woman appearing only slightly older than Fiora, whom he could only presume to be the commander of the Order. He gulped, bowing his head lowly. "S--sorry for barging in. I just heard a lot of noise and got worried." -Yevgeni- "Auck, this orange juice is so bitter. How do these people in Langerdon enjoy food? Are they so drugged on tanzynite that they can no longer taste?" Yevgeni murmured to any of his companions who sat at the table. He gulped it down, making a face as he bit into some jellied toast. The night prior he'd stayed at a reputable inn in the Imperial capital of Langerdon. His wallet was certainly lighter, but he knew his alliance with the rebellion would more than make up for it. So far everyone had treated Yevgeni like a noble. His papers indicated that he was an imperial citizen which made his stay in Langerdon relaxed, if not pleasing. The blond, his scrunched face relaxing, turned to his nearest companion, which likely was Cobica. "So, about this place you had in mind to be loud in tonight . . . where is it again? And what shall we do in the meantime? Hopefully not dine anywhere, because I've had about all I can take of this nasty stuff." (I'm assuming that Mikhail, Vort, Slade, and Cobica are with him, but I didn't want to assume too much in case you guys had other plans for this group.)
