This is the official general topic for the upcoming Tales of game: Tales of Berseria!

The next Tales game has been announced at the Tales of Festival. Tales of Berseria will be released for the PS3 and the PS4. No release date has been announced yet.

A character model has been revealed and her name is Velvet. She will be the female main protagonist for Berseria will be voiced by Rina Satou.

Hmm, interesting!  The story definitely sounds intriguing, and it actually reminded me of Final Fantasy I's story, where the elements were causing harsh climates on the world!

 

As for Velvet, she looks downright sexy!  And based on what we know of her character, and how she looks, I'd say she'll be the Lightning Farron of the Tales series.

Milla Maxwell is the "Lightning" Farron" of the Tales series, pretty much lol.

 

Also, these new story details are quite interesting. But I just hope that this Tales game won't become a rushed product since it got announce shortly after the release of Tales of Zestiria in Japan.

Actually, I don't see Milla as Lighting.  Whereas Lighting was a serious, battle-hardened woman, Milla was more of a serious, absent minded woman, since there were many things she didn't know about people when she journeyed with Jude and company! Sure, she had the duty of Maxwell, and she knew about the Spirits and about the crisis of the world and whatnot, but she was practically learning about human behavior when she was with Jude and company! She was like a grown child!

 

And well, who knows how this game will turn out?  So far, all the Tales games I've played have been excellent, in my opinion, so I trust the grand reputation this series has will only continue to grow, ya know?

Well that's great that you enjoy the Tales games no matter how bad they can get or rushed they are. But I just hope that Berseria doesn't become the new "Tales of XIllia" because if you didn't know, Xillia was rushed for Namco's anniversary of the Tales series. And a lot of fans seem to not like Xillia for a few obvious reasons

Oh, I see!  That'd explain the repetitive world areas in between cities!

I just hope that Tales of Berseria has a fresh, new battle system for us to enjoy instead of a game that has gameplay really similar to Tales of Graces. Not saying that I hated the gameplay for Graces, I just really disliked it.I'd be okay if they either used tales of xillia's battle system style or even expand on it, but it would be awesome if they used a totally new battle system for the game. I'd really hope that they don't use tales of Graces battle system again because I really dislike how that game plays.

Graces. After beating both Graces and Xillia, I prefer Graces' combat system a little bit more.

that would suck if that happens. I still don't have a ps4 yet and the ps4 isn't that cheap

 

 

It's been confirmed today that Tales of Berseria is only going to be available on the ps4 and pc for NA. That really sucks for me because I don't have a ps4 yet.

 

also, Tales of Berseria's battle system is going to be more free then Tales of Zestiria's battle system, which is really awesome!

Since I now many people on this site (myself included)  are fans of the 'Tales of' series, I thought I would inform all you fans that it was confirmed today that Tales of Berseria (along with other titles such as God Eater) are coming to the west.

 

Unsurprisingly, Tales of Berseria will only be coming out on PS4 & PC in Western countries.
