Why did you first decide to play Kingdom Hearts?

For it was The Grid world that convinced me to check it out.  What about you?

I think in 2009 since my sister was playing, i tried to play the first game but...until this day i want to play it so badly.

Winnie the Pooh got me into Kingdom Hearts. No, really. I was 4, cut me some slack.

Well, the reason I got into the series in the first place was because the clerk in Sam's Club at that time, back in 2006, told me what the latest installment in the series, Kingdom Hearts II, was about.  As I heard her explanation, I felt intrigued by the game, and then, after her explanation, I felt compelled to play the game!  And so, thanks to Kingdom Hearts II, I got into the series, and I loved the game, and now I'm in love with the whole series in general! :3

Hey, that's how I got my copy of KH2, as well!

i guess technically it was because of the Disney factor. my dad bought KH1 for my sister because it had Disney characters in it but she didn't play video games that much anyways. i remember watching the intro but i didn't get very far and then my dad accidentally broke the game disc and that was that. years later i got back into the series when i recognized the name "Kingdom Hearts" on one of the mangas from a book sale at my elementary school. read it and decided to give the games another shot.

and here i am.

I had heard of the game series for some time (don't remember where), but my first real entrance into the series was with the 3DS demo for Dream Drop Distance. Having enjoyed the demo, I bought the game some time later and soon got me interested in the series as a whole.

A friend recommended it and then I saw there were disney characters in it so I decided to try out. Of course I loved it

in 2008 when i saw it i was immediately turned off by the disney characters but when i saw sora i thought he was either brown haired kid cloud or cloud and airiths son so i played it because there were final fantasy character in it.

I saw Kingdom hearts 1 lying on a market for €5 and when I saw the cover art and back I was like whaaaattt....Donald and goofy and final fantasy? I gotta try this out.

I loved it of course. Though Ursula gave me nightmares and made me unable to play it for months. I first beat it when I was about 12 xD

I was 12. I watched my 1 year younger cousin play it and I thought the game looked fun so I wanted a turn. That's how me and Kingdom Hearts met...

I remember my mom and dad getting us a ps2 and since my dad worked at disney, we got the game for free. I remember seeing my mom playing in the dive to the heart level, and I thought it seemed so cool, and I played it myself but I never knew how to get past Destiny Islands (firetrucking coconuts m8) Then I played kh2 and that game seemed so amazing to me, so I decided to finish kh1 so I wouldn't miss Anything. After playing Both games, I had realized what my favorite game series of all time was.

was 8 years old ... I was in a game store I saw the cover of the first kingdom hearts and intrigue me the fact of seeing Disney characters with characters ff and so I did buy me from my mother :)

Simple: I have loved Crossovers since Flinstones meet the Jetsons. (Obligatory "I feel old" comment.)

It was a moment of fate, I wanted Crash Twinsanity and my brother wanted Kingdom Hearts.

My brother bought Kingdom Hearts and I got captivated by it ever since!

I watched à friend Playing it, he encountered a final fantasy character, then got to a Disney world based on a movie i liked, so it just seemed really cool and i wanted à turn

I spent many years rejecting it believing it was for kids and so not playing it. But then in a time when there were absolutley no games I wanted coming out for years I decided to try out Kingdom Hearts BBS. It was the newest one at the time. And I really liked it!

I watched a friend play it and really liked the whole theme and environment to it. Not to mention that that was one of the first PS2 games that I've ever see.

Also because I saw Squall in it and at that time I was obsessed with FFVIII.

My Reason why i decided to start playing Kingdom Hearts was when i was little i saw it advertised on TV but never got the chance to get involved with it until 2012 where a friend of mine told me about KH i fell in love with the series when i searched it up on youtube. The main reason why is because i loved how Disney and SE have created a game together which brought up a adventurous and a game full of friendship and kindness the game has so much in it that i love but the game is mostly evolved around Friend from my opinion and i love how they had created Sora and other Characters that were not either in FF or of Disneys parts in the game.

but to be truthful i just love the game and ive been collecting and playing all the games that it has since 2002

Disney and Final Fantasy made it sound cool. My parents wouldn't get it for me though so I borrowed it from my uncle

Disney, yes, but I first encountered the series where I saw the trailer for Kingdom Hearts on the VHS of Mickey's House of Villains, and then I saw the in-depth commercial for Kingdom Hearts II on Disney Channel a couple years later, before getting a PS2 for Christmas. On my birthday, I took all of my birthday money, the first year I had gotten money instead of presents, and bought Kingdom Hearts II at Walmart thinking "this is Disney, but it looks like a grown-up game", and I was right, it's more than just a kid's game.

I remember seeing an ad on tv for Chain of Memories thinking "oh neat". By the time ads were up for Kingdom Hearts II, I decided to ask for the first two games for Christmas. I dunno it's amazing how a 10 second tv spot can make something seem cool.

It was my first introduction into RPGs. I was watching the Disney Channel and they had their short news segment "Disney 411." The stuff they showed in just five minutes blew my mind and I instantly knew that it had to be a part of my Christmas list that year. I was just a freshman in high school at the time. How the years fly by!

Winnie the Pooh got me into Kingdom Hearts. No, really. I was 4, cut me some slack.

Hey, that's how I got my copy of KH2, as well!

Omg, Pooh is the best!  Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff! :3

Haha, oh wow, so you got KHII the same way I did?  Wow, that's awesome!  That means we're long lost relatives! xD

My memories are fuzzy but... I believe I first caught wind of it at a Hollywood Video. I distinctly remember thinking it was "dumb" since it had Disney in it. I ended up getting KH1 a few months later xD And despite never getting past Agrabah I fell in love with it. Then I played the original COM but didn't like it (still don't, firetruck you Cloud! >>) But KH2 was where I officially became a fan of the series! <3

  • 2 weeks later...

I saw my best friend come to class with a folder cover of KH2 and I asked her about it and she was really enthusiastic about it and when I saw one for the console I had at the time I decided to give it a try and that's how

Well, I first started to take an interest to the game when I found alot of its information on the game magazine. Back then,I never thought I would get to play PS2 until my brother's birthday (Yes,the PS2 belongs to my brother), which leads me to the greatest adventure I've had on that game... xD
