Who remembers Dark Riku in Hollow Bastion? How many times did it take before you finally beat him? 

 

Ugh I can't remember. I think I was like ten and it took me close to fifteen to twenty tries. I was under leveled I think. Ragnarok is what always got me.

As many times as it took to memorise that one cutscene before the fight.

I think it took me about five, six, or seven times to finally beat him.

In the original, forever. Dunno what about it was so difficult specifically, but I died a fair number of times on that one. And as most people did, memorized the cutscene dialogue by the time I finally won.

 

For 1.5, though, didn't need more than a single try =P.

Uhh, I think only once or twice. It's been a while, but I know for sure that it wasn't too hard for me for fight Dark Riku.

Oh my God, I remember that fight was a pain for me back then on the PS2!  It took me damn well more than ten tries to beat him!  But, when I played the Final Mix Version in 1.5, I actually found that I beat him in about two tries!

More than 10 my first playthrough, if my memory is on point.

Nowadays, I dominate that MOFO all the time.

5ish I think. I never really found him to be that hard, it was always Maleficent's dragon that got me.

five or six times. Friggin Riku is fast as hell and hit hard with his dark aura ability .

i had more trouble fighting Riku on Destiny Islands than in Hollow Bastion

I was 8 when I stared paying kingdom hearts and I took about 50 trys so yeah

I beat him on my first try, but I beat him on beginners mode on my first ever playthough.

I have yet to find the time to replay KH1 on standard mode or critical/proud mode.

Hmm...Well on the PS2 version, probably around 4-5 times on expert however on 1.5, I beat him first try easily.
