Is it possible that both Destiny Islands and Twilight Town are in the same world?

While it was never been said I've had this though of what if both Destiny Islands and Twilight Town take place in the same world.

 

Evidence? Sure!

 

1. This would explain why in every Kingdom Hearts game where either Destiny Islands or Twilight Town are accessible (with the exception being Chain of Memories due to the fact that hey were memory based replicas) Only 1 or the other can be entered by normal means.

 

2. By the station in Twilight Town is the ocean horizon and obvious place you could possibly connect both the ocean surrounding Destiny Islands and the horizon in Twilight Town.

 

3. Characters from Final Fantasy VIII were both born and raised in Destiny Islands and Twilight Town. (with the exception of Tidus & Wakka from Final Fantasy X) Selphie is in Destiny Islands and Seifer, Rai, Fuu & Vivi are in Twilight Town.

 

4. Both have similar locations like the cave in Destiny Islands to the Secret place in Twilight Town. The place where Hayner, Pence & Ollette laid in the grass after searching for the mysteries is similar to the tree that Sora, Riku & Kairi sit at.

 

5. Lastly the town Kairi is seen in during the few cutscenes in KH2 looks like a poor version of a neighborhood from Twilight Town.

 

While they may not be side by side I think that maybe they at least are close to each other in the same world.

I don't think so. TT is a world that stands between the Realm of Darkness and the Realm of Light, while DI is on the Real of Light (as we see in the ending cutscene from KHII, where Sora and Riku are staring at the RoL in that beach from the RoD). Plus, we've already see how daytime changes in DI, while Twilight Town is in an eternal Twilight.

Sorry, but your evidence is just coincidences, and Kairi wasn't in a poor neighborhood in Twilight Town, but the main island of Destiny Islands.

Hmm..I don't know about this theory, but I do think that Twilight Town and Daybreak Town could be the same place. Seriously, it looks like someone just took the same map layout, and changed a few graphics on the buildings.

While I like what you're doing here, I don't think that Twilight Town and Destiny Islands are the same world.  Sure, they could be connected in some way or another, but I don't think that they would actually be part of the same world, because if that were the case, then we'd have been able to access Destiny Islands from Twilight Town itself, ya know?
