Should I worry about the many glitches that I have heard occur in 2.5? These supposed glitches are part of the reason why I have not bought 2.5 yet. I'm just wondering if there is a way around them or if they really impact the overall game as there seems to be a lot more than 1.5

I would not worry about them so much. Hold onto the receipt though in case the glitches are bad enough to the point where you can't play it so you can return it.

does that happen often though? more so than 1.5?

Appearantly I got a good copy because 2.5 for me runs everything at the exact rate that I want it to and my copy doesn't give me many glitches, but the ones it has have been common video game things that every game has. So honestly, don't know what to tell you, but 2.5 for me runs better than 1.5!

I have only tasted 2.5. I would imagine a little more than 1.5 because of its size, but I am not sure. I would still get it because of the obvious: you're a fan. If you find many glitches on it, then return it with the receipt and get a new copy.

I can tell you the major issues with 2.5. One of them being the slow loading times, which isn't TOO big of a deal a lot of the time, but it can still be pretty annoying in the case of drive forms where it takes quite a long time to load into a drive form, the work around being that you pause the game for a few seconds while the game loads the drive form. There's also some lag issues, namely in the beginning of some fights where it'll look like Sora freezes momentarily. There's also the issue where in the Xemnas fight at Memory's Skyscraper where the game may crash on you (I've never personally experienced it, though.) And finally, during the final Xemnas fight, where he throws you up in the air, you're supposed to use the reaction command constantly to avoid Xemnas' attacks, and they should work every time, but here, the reaction command only works about half the time, so the best way to counter this is to try and use Reflega, or Riku's limit break. There may be more, but that's what I remember.

Was yours a greatest hits or special bundle version by any chance?

No software is free of problems like these. There is always going to be a glitch, regardless of how well it's been made. The main point is to hide these problems as well as you can when developing the software.

Well my dear, are there ways around the glitches to avoid running into them by any chance?

There's hardly any glitches to speak of. The biggest thing you'll notice is the loading times for drive forms and d-links. Definitely get a copy if you haven't, it's worth playing for the graphic upgrades and gameplay tweaks.

Mine was the standard pre-order version that came with just the pin as an added bonus.

I had no problems with my 2.5. I've seen no glitches and I play the whole 2.5 without any problems. However the load times during the Drive Forms and D-Links would take sometime to get use to.

i never encountered any major glitches. you're probably safe. there is an issue with long loading times and there may be a slight input lag but other than that...

are you able to move the camera around while those times are loading like with the D-links in BBS as I found those load times were slow too

I'd like to point out that the crash in the Xemnas fight at Memory's Skyscraper involves Limit Form. I heard it had to do with reverting after Xemnas casts drain on you and moves to the building then trying to use the Reaction Command.

Not really, no. No software is perfect. If you encounter a problem it means you performed an action that wasn't initially intended to be. Plus these problems that 2.5 supposedly have are just due to rush and lack of testing the software.

I have only encountered one major glitch and it is the one with using Limit Form in the first Xemnas fight. Another minor glitch is the one involving the final Xemnas battle with the reversal reaction command not always coming up, but there are workarounds for it and actually make the game more thrilling. You will get over the slow load times and soon stop caring about it. Also it will become second nature for you to pause everytime you go into a Form and just learn to do that. 2.5 is my favorite KH game and you should get it! Enjoy all the extra FM content

Apart from some lagging in load time, I've only experienced one minor blip; when opening a chest, the screen may freeze for a millisecond before revealing the prize.

Neither of which bother me.

Go for it. You're obviously a fan and first two have always been my personal favorites.
