nice theory HMK! really enjoyed it , keep up the good work!

I haven't watched the vid, so I'll just say what we know (or what I can remember xD) about the relation between these 2 characters. Remember this happened before Nomura lost his head with time-travel, and at that time the X-Blade was forged from a clash between pure light and pure darkness (now it's changed to the clash of 13 darknesses and 7 lights), so he wanted to extract Ventus' darkness (using the Neoshadows) and have the boy strengthen (at Eraqus' place) so he could have an even fight with his counterpart, thus forging the X-Blade. I think that's the only thing that relates them, I may be wrong.

Now, why Ventus? Probably because he had a complete balance between Light and Darkness (unlike Terra, who you can see that's more to the dark side). I'll have a look at the interviews to see if I find something!

Seems a bit far-fetched. I do think the rebirth theory might have some basis, and even be true, but i don't think the traitor is one of the foretellers we know. It's probably the 6th apprentice or the Master of Masters. It's an interesting thought, But I think Xehanort just picked Ventus because he was alone and easy to manipulate, or simply because of "fate"(easily possible that Robed!AnsemSoD just told Youngnort every major step he had to follow including finding Ventus).

Going under the assumption that Rebirth theory is true regardless of personal opinions, this is a pretty ok theory.

Can I ask though; why exactly is Leopardus suspicious? You say he seems indifferent but all the foretellers besides Madam Ava do. "It's written on the page that one will betray us all."- Nothing about this line strikes me as worryingly apathetic. There's really nothing to indicate that the traitor is Leopardus right now- he's still a possibility of course but there's nothing particularly suspicious- so I'm a bit hesitant. Wouldn't it be easier to assume that Master Xehanort targeted Ventus (assuming that he is in fact Leopardus) simply because he is a foreteller not necessarily a traitor? I mean you said it yourself "the foreteller started the first keyblade war" so certainly Xehanort would try to influence the first foreteller he came across ASAP. I just feel like it's not enough to conclude Leopardus as the /mysterious traitor/.

If I'm missing something please notify me haha. Again though, if rebirth theory is a thing like many people are suspecting this would likely be

Easy because Nomura was trying to come up with a reason why Roxas doesn't look exactly like Sora, since nobodies are supposed to look exactly like their original selves, and he was trying to make Ventus, Sora, and Roxas connected in some way. So he created Ventus and make him the light side of the x-blade.

Hmm, this is a very interesting theory!  If the Rebirth theory proves true, then I can see why Xehanort went and chose Ventus to be his pupil, so that he could exploit the darkness inside him!  But, as it seems, Ventus was not a worthy vessel, and even though he did end up forging the X-Blade with Vanitas, the blade itself did not last long because of Vanitas's death at the hand of Ventus, Xehanort's plot of obtaining Kingdom Hearts being foiled at this point! :O

Great video HMK, I really love your videos, they're always fun to watch!  Keep up the great work! :D

No rebirth to this whatsoever! Now, Master Xehanort chose Ventus because of Ventus possessing pure light and pure dark. That is why. There is no rebirth to any of this. With Ven, the X-blade could be his. Of course, he went about it the wrong way.

I think he just intended to use him as his new vessel originally, but since vessels have to be steeped in darkness before they can be possessed and Ven refused to use that darkness, he was useless for that so Xehanort used him instead to create the pure darkness he needed for the x-blade and meant to throw away the leftovers and find a new vessel as well as someone he could use as a pure light (Vanitas did say Aqua could be a back up). But when it turned out Ven was alive Xehanort decided to strengthen his light by sending him to Eraqus, and, as we know, once he dropped Ven off he saw that Terra could be used for Vens original purpose.
