I hate it when people assume that all Smash players (Or the "real" Smash fans) are the competitive players who worship Melee and treat Brawl like it somehow led to the death of their entire family.

 

This is also why I absolutely can't stand the competitive community, funnily enough.

Probably the best way to get a Smash player salty is to say stuff like these:

 

-Melee will never have a remaster

-Sora, Shantae, Shovel Knight, King K Rool,(and any another desired character) will never be in Smash

-Brawl's the best in the series

-Competitive needs to have items

As a Smash Bros player, Smash Bros fanboys never wanted Sora in Smash. They want Bandana Waddle Dee instead.

seriously, I wish that those kind of smash players treat other people the same way to treat themselves. If they think that they smash bros brawl is the best smash game out there, then fine. That's their opinion, but they shouldn't knock down other people's opinions like it's nothing because they are :"true" smash fans.

Or you could just say anything negative about Melee. Also a good one is mention how Project M isn't official. They love that one.

About that, I'd have to say is quite strange. Nintendo gets so little attention nowadays compared to ten years ago, that their games don't get the same complaints about repetitiveness the same way Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed do.
