Sources always remain anonymous, you know that if they revealed their identities the sources would be fired, sued, and based on the severity sent to jail.

well we'll be finding out later this month anyways so what's the point of trying to guess the validity of this rumor? we'll know soon enough. 

i wouldn't mind a September release though.

My oh my. Though it is a rumor, it's still exciting. Especially since it says worldwide. Of course, I shall take with a grain of salt and wait until 3/30 for them to say the word.

Well August/September is what most people (myself included) were expecting, so this is believable.

Hmm, if this rumor proves to be true, then that gives Nomura and the gang just enough time for them to release Kingdom Hearts 2.8 at late November or early December, since by then, XV will have already been out, unless 2.8 somehow comes out earlier than XV!

 

I know that the business divisions running XV and 2.8 are separate, but I'm pretty sure Nomura wouldn't release 2.8 so close to XV, cuz people's money would be going mostly to XV, due to the hype its gotten and the fact that it's finally gonna be out!  If Nomura's smart, a December release of 2.8 would be most welcome! Or it could also be in July, but that's just hoping at this point.

Few days before my 2nd year of Uni begins. I wish it releases sometime in August. 

I'm starting Advanced levels in September, in maths, physics, computing and graphic design. So if the rumour is true i'll have no time to play it . I hope it releases in the summer.

Hopefully this rumour is false, the game is 80% done according to the event in January. Is it really going to take another 6 months just to add finishing touches? They've advertised the game more than enough so it's not like they need a huge amount of time for marketing

I'm hoping if it's not a Simultaneous Release Square Enix releases Final Fantasy XV on PS4 Xbox One Sept 30th, then PC January 1st or just make it a Simultaneous release with the consoles, but please for the love of all that is holy don't make it Universal Windows Platform app, oh please God don't or if you do release it on Steam to, oh and make it crossbuy with PC and Xbox One, along with Kingdom Hearts 3 yeah that would be perfect.
