WHat's Your Most Challenging KH Moment?

Posted

So, as the title says, what's you most challenging moment (or moments if you have multiple ones) throughout the Kingdom Hearts games? For me, it was Fighting Lingering Will and KH1 Xemnas at level 1. As well as trying to beat that Org XIII Mushroom member at Yen Sid's Tower. And trying to get all the items to synthesize the Ultima Weapon.

Featured Replies

Lingering Will, Xemnas in KH1, Julius, Young Xehanort in DDD, and that Mushroom XIII at Yen Sid's tower.

Quite honestly, fighting Riku Replica 4 on the original Chain of Memories and even in Re: Chain of Memories. By that point he's just so strong that the difficulty spike in the game just does a hyper-warp, and take into consideration that I barely knew how to play the game at the time, it actually prevented me from finishing the game for a while, I had to look the rest up on youtube. That is until one of my younger brother's friends actually beat him for me (my pride tho... T3T") and I immediately picked it up from him as soon as that happened...only to be pitted against Larxene, which was just as hard, if not harder because of all those death-moves. It's probably the only time in a KH game where the difficulty spike is so huge that it is staggering for me, which is odd because the rest of the series tends to be pretty smooth with their difficulty transitions. The only game that comes close to that level of spike is 358/2 Days, but even then by the later half of the game you're kind of anticipating it so really it's just a matter of being prepared enough. Otherwise every other game's challenging moments where about the kind of challenge you were anticipating, difficult but not frustratingly so like the odds were stacked against you. And again, this happened with a MAIN STORYLINE BOSS, most of KH's huge challenging boss fights are with their secret optional bosses, so it doesn't feel as nearly out of place. I guess that's just how they make up for the lack of secret bosses in that game......

Let's see...

There was the Ruler of the Sky in Days - that was a pain in the a$$.  As stated above the Riku Replica hard.  I got past him pretty quickly the first time, and then my PS2 froze.  So I had to fight him again and I couldn't beat him.  I would have been so mad if my PS2 hadn't frozen during the part with Larxine (or however you spell her name - I don't like her enough to care), but since that was the case, it was pretty funny!

KH1 - Sephiroth, Ultima Weapon (Final Mix recipe), Ansem Solo, Ansem on ship solo and after Donald and Goofy are back (pray you don't die or back to the beginning)

KH CoM/Re:CoM - Marluxia 2 (CoM), Ansem (CoM), Vexen 2 (Re:CoM), Larxene 2 (Re:CoM) Riku Final (Sora + Riku - CoM+ Re:CoM)

KH2 - "The Fire" at Timeless River, Oogie Boogie, Fat Bandits, Ultima Weapon, all the extras from Final Mix

KH358 - Ruler of the Sky, Leech Grave, Infernal Engine, that flyer you could only use fire on.

KHBBS - "Villans" Round/Ultima Weapon

KH c/Re:c - Riku (all rounds), Darkside Final, Data Challenges, Ultima Weapon

KH DDD - Three Round Boss Fights in Traverse Town 2, Anti-Black Coat, Young Xehanort, Ansem

KH0.2 - Not seeing Aqua's face or gameplay yet

KH3 - Not seeing the characters from their respective worlds and THE WAIT!

It would be in KH: 3D with Xemnas, Ansem, and Young Xehanort on Beginner Mode (and Proud Mode >.<).

Young Xehanort in KH3D at Level 1. Most intense fight I have ever done.

Kingdom Hearts 1 Dragon form Maleficent. I know the fight isn't that hard now, but when your 7 yrs old & didn't think to lvl up past 42 & had no idea what tinker bell was for, that battle was pretty damn hard

KH BBS - Mysterious Figure, No Heart, Vanitas' Lingering Spirit and Armored Eraqus.

AND The Mushroom at Yen Sid's tower
