Any small details you'd like to see

Recommended Posts

What i had in mind was something along the lines of each party member kinda doing their own thing before Sora shows up.

Like for example when you land in Corona you see Rapunzel sitting on the floor reading a book or something and then she turns around and she's like "Oh Sora!" and she quickly gets up and joins you.

Sora clothes getting wet.I think everyone noticed there's quite a lot of waterfalls/streams shown so far so why not.

Sora reacting to his environment.Y'know if he's idle in the Frozen world to long he starts to shiver and if he's idle in a hot world like Agrabah he starts to sweat/starts using his hands to wipe it off his forehead or something.

Ways to make Sora trip..now i have no idea how this would work exactly but i see myself doing it mostly for fun.Being able to make Sora trip and fall over a cliff would make this game of the year.

Being able to use magic to open doors.Like for the doors in Yensids tower, seeing the worlds are gonna be mostly seamless now we'll most likely gonna start seeing Sora opening doors normally like how he did in kh1 so why not just shoot a fireball or a wind spell instead...pushing doors open seems like to much work nowadays anyway.

Dynamic environments. We already saw the grass in Mysterious Tower become kind of charred from fire. But it's not edgy enough. But there's something more important than that.

MORE ZIPPERS

As much detail as they can cram in there without anything crashing would be awesome! I mean I love the small touches they're doing with the environment like the spells affecting the grass and Sora getting swept up in the stream and whatnot. I would love to see small things like his clothes getting wet or having idle animations depending on the world he is in, like you suggested. A million other things would be cool to see as well, so I really hope this game gets the most detail and creativity put into it out of the entire series! <3

Seamless transitions from cutscenes into gameplay, the ability to put my hood up. When you equip a bangle or bracelet it shows up on Sora's body. When Sora is without a keyblade and you enter a battle-the keyblade glows when appearing in his hand. Subtle references to Sora's previous visits to that world, when Sora is idle for a while Donald yells "Hurry up you big palooka" or Goofy says "Gawrsh we better hurry up!". Sora's clothes getting damaged after being hit, his hair getting wet if you run under a waterfall , Donald's tail catching fire if he runs through an area that's on fire etc.

The references to previous visits would be something really nice, and it would really make it feel like I was actually making progress rather than just making random pit stops.

slightly different here; but I like what they did with the Pillars in Olympus and the hole being filled up in Twilight Town. Visually the game will look stunning; so give us something to look at in each specific world. Make us want to fully explore and admire our environment rather than go from A to B kill enemies and go back to A again or die going from A to B because Donald didn't heal you etc. Instead I want to spend ages admiring each detail in the world and fully realise every world is unique.

Disney and Square Enix easter eggs. Stuff like hidden Mickeys, Luxo Ball, Square Enix tributes etc.

All of these sound fantastic so far! I won't name ones people already mentioned.

Personally id like to see each world have more life in them. In most kh games the worlds either have a few npcs to fill out a world or none at all. The worlds only seem to be inhabited by heartless or the world specific characters. And some times those characters don't even appear outside of cutscenes. I'd like to see many more npcs that walk around town and interact. People bartering perhaps about what's going on in their world, shopping, going about their daily lives. Children maybe playing tag, splashing in fountains, or exploring.. Birds, dogs, cats and other animals. Anything that really makes the world feel populated and alive.

Secondly I'd like more environment sounds. They've done this a bit in the past but I'd like to hear birds chirping, water dripping, light breezes, background chatter, pretty much anything that adds to the realism.

Thirdly, have all backgrounds be rendered and not images. In kh1 for example, if sora is standing at the top of the rising falls looking at hollow bastion, much of that is just an image it's obvious and the image doesn't age well. The stars in twilight town are little more than a star covered wallpaper on the ceiling of the world. Having all the background distance stuff be rendered helps with immersion and as someone that notices little details like that, if can sort of take you out of the game.

The last thing I can think of, no more doll face cutscenes! Even if you are just talking to a random npc of no importance, have them say a little something audibly and sync their mouth movements. They did this in the witcher 3 and it was incredible. Even all the background characters chattering while you are walking through a town had perfectly synced lip and eye movements.
