What if... You got all 5 medals, no, 6, with the 6th being the friend medal, to all have Defense Boost activate somehow, and survive an attack?! Think, if each Defense Boost has a chance of cutting damage taken in 1/2, doesn't it stack or continue dividing the damage for each Defense Boost activated?

 

So if this stands true...

 

If a boss does 12,000 damage with a single hit, and one hit only, divide that once. You take 6,000, still enough to one-shot you.

But if you divide that AGAIN somehow from another Defense Boost, it chops it down to 3,000.

And if you manage to get a third one to activate, then it would be 1,500...

 

Well, if the Defense Boost skill doesn't work like that, then scratch that... But I thought it could've been an interesting thing to test out. :3 I'll have to try it sometime.

Yeah it's super BS that all bosses kill in one hit. Even the level 1 ones (But you can usually kill them in a turn).

Medal abilities only work once at a time, so you can't activate 2 or more defense boost at the same time. Also, most of raid bosses do more than just one hit, so even If that happened, you would still lose on his turn. That's what makes me think powerful raid bosses are designed to be defeated by more than one player.

If it makes you feel any better, in the japanese version, once you get to lvl 200 or so with all HP ups, and have almost a full deck of 6stars, you can survive a lvl1 or 2 boss attack, if they only have a single hit, and you get defense up S or M to activate...haha...

 

Or, you know, there's always the last live(second chance/once more in english) ability that will come out eventually.

I remember that in the browser version you could survive a couple of turns. but I mean, it's not like dying in raid bosses is a big problem, since the whole thing about them is that you can call people for help.

I can relate to this 100%! They really should change that.

I mean they are called raids for a reason...

 

But I still feel like they went overkill to guarantee your death the moment they can hit you.
