This has been a burning question on my mind. As seen in the Blank Points, when talking to Ansem the Wise, Aqua doesn't appear to have aged much (at least in terms of physical appearance), and as seen in the early trailer for KH 2.8, she doesn't seem to have aged at all either. What are your guys' theories?

Yes. From when she comes to the Realm of Darkness to when she meets Ansem the Wise, over 10 years have passed in the outside world. The flow of time is different in the Realm of Darkness and the outside world, so it doesn’t feel like 10 years have passed. But there’s no mistaking that she’s been in the Realm of Darkness for quite a long time.

Teenagers in anime or jrpgs don't age.

She probably has, but time in the RoD is really slow.

Nope, not at all. The reason is because time flows extremely slow so one year down there is like ten years in the Realm of Light.

Funny how the Wayfinder trio all have convenient ways of not aging if they are kinda sad.

 

Terra's sorta gone.

Ventus is asleep so his body can't age in his comatose state.

Aqua is trapped in the Realm of Darkness where the Time flows very very very slow down there.

I wish there was at least some subtle differences with her being in the RoD so long.Like he hair getting more wilder or her breast getting bigger or something lol.

As other members here have stated, time in the Realm Of  Darkness flows much differently, kind of like Narnia, if you've seen the films or read the books! If you know about how Narnia's time is completely different from the real world's time, then apply that same principle to the Realms of Light and Darkness, ya know?

I think Narnia's time is a lot separate.

Like the aforementioned post said, it's been confirmed that time flows differently in the Realm of Darkness, just think of it as KH's equivalent to the Room of Spirit and Time in Dragon Ball, but in reverse. Obviously there's no set time period or comparison to real life time like the Room of Spirit and Time. Plus, Aqua didn't look like she had aged at all in the trailer.

What about Terra though? Since Xemnas pretty much looks like a 10 years aged Terranort, should we expect Terra to look more like Xemnas if hes freed or will he just revert back to the Terra we're used to?

What about Ven? Is he gonna stay young when he's wakes up? Cuz I always thought time froze with him and his heart. (Sorry, I'm not good at explaining things) ^^;

It hasn't been confirmed, but I'm sure he'll be exactly the same as he was. Why? Who knows, perhaps because of what you said, that his body and heart are frozen in time or whatever, but I'm really sure that he won't change at all

I'd say she's aged very little to none. Dark realm time is undefined in how slow it is and from what vids and other forums I've seen the Sleep realm has no actual time flow and then each light world has a time axis to it's own.

I think the greater question that has to be asked is, why are Aqua, Terra and Ventus destined not to age? all three characters are coincidentally in situations where they do not age? why is that?
