We got a look at the visuals, 4 new characters, new scenes from Dragon Ball such as Bardock vs Frieza, what looks like Kid Buu vs Goku, History of Trunks. Yeah, looks like the obvious choice won out in the end, but hey, the trailer did look pretty cool. The graphics look a lot more detailed, the hub world is expanded, there's new characters such as Zarbon, Dodoria, Tullece, Slug, etc., and it looks like the time travel elements are going to be expanded even further like we all hoped. Seems like the game is off to a great start.

Aaand another PS4 game that I really want. I really should try to pick one up soon now.

 

I haven't finished the first yet (I will before I get this though. I've got plenty of time anyway), but there's a lot I'd like to see expanded upon. Adding in people like Zarbon and Dodoria is a great start, and I hope that we see more characters like those two added in. The first just went with the major fights, which is cool, but there was a lot of potential for other battles as well. I'm hoping this won't feel like too much of a retread of the first (Same battles and all. I know that's common with DB games but I'm new to them so I can at least be hopeful that I won't have to do the same stuff again ), but even if it is, I'd still be happy with the new content. I should probably focus on catching up on Super since this could easily draw from that, too...

 

Now all I need is an announcement that Fusions is coming to the West and I'll be all set on DB games. Maybe this can even add in some of those crazy fusions

I already commented on the roster, but to touch on a different point: if the storyline is going to open up new possibilities, XV2 honestly might as well has as much people as they can, because adding onto the BT3 thing, the roster is frankly overrated. "Omg, BT3's roster is so good, it has so many characters", buuuuuullshit. No Armored Squadron, No Crusher Corps, no Galaxy Soldiers, no Three Patrons of Garlic, not even any other Toriyama cameos from anybody other than Arale. It's weak sauce.

In fact now that you mention it, I'm going to list all the characters I would personally like to see in the game, with all their forms I'd like to see, whether it be from the anime, specials, movies or games. This is gonna take a while to write.

Asthetic

More hair options, specifically a Radditz/SSJ3 styleSuper Saiyan hair that spikes up like it's supposed to

Tails for Saiyans

The ability to change the colors of a character themed costume.The ability to choose an aura color

 

Gameplay

Access to Super Saiyan 3 for Player Characters. Maybe ASSJ/USSJ/SSJ4/SSJG/SSJB but I can take or leave those.

Fix broken Super Saiyan Ultimate Spamming

A skill slot specifically for Transformations so we don't have to sacrifice Super/Ultimate slots (L1R+R1+O isn't doing anything)

Actual Transformation Skills for Frieza RaceEither skinny male Majin or Transformations for the Majin Race

The ability to switch our controlled character during Parallel Quests. For example if we brought Cell and Goku along and we get KO'd, let us control one of them.

Fix the goddamn RNG. Give us a Luck-Up item or something. Or better yet, assign drops to ranks. E gets you one item, probably a common one. Each higher rank increases the number and rarity of items you get. By Z you get all of them without fail.

 

Selection

ASSJ Vegeta and USSJ Trunks ( I'd like those variations of Goku, but that's less likely)

Don't waste character slots buy giving one to every variation for every character, have one or two slots per character and have the varations set as Transformation skills. 

Don't leave out forms like Second or Third form Frieza and Imperfect or Semi-Perfect Cell.

Have all Masters present at all times

 

Story

Dragon Ball Time Patrols ( Pilaf arc, Red Ribbon Army arc, Piccolo arc, etc. I'd Say Super as well, but since it has yet to be dubbed we're probably only get the movie arcs) 

I hope Xenoverse 2 includes at least some of these.

I have my doubts with Dragon Ball Super's Universe 6 characters being included in the game(atleast in the base game). I am saying this because these characters don't have English voices yet. So unless they announce Dragon Ball Super dub, I don't think they will be in the game. They will probably add them later as DLC when they have the English voices settled.

One thing about your list, Azure:

 

There's no need to have "Future 17" and "Future 18" as separate slots. The future and present incarnations don't have any major differences between them. The best you could do is give them an separate set of moves like in the first game.
