Lax got up from his seat and grabbed his Sync. He put in his ear in order to tell his "ever-so-tired" partner the event that was happening. "Shantae? Shantae!"

Uuugh...What is it...? "Code Blue."

 

Shantae's eyes widened when she heard those 2 words. Code. Blue. That means...

"I'm on it." She immediately got up and ran to the area. Forget being tired. An Evo was here! Shantae skidded and stopped due to the crowd blocking her way. "Excuse me. Sorry, coming through. Pardon me!" She said as she squeezed through the crowd to get to the action. Shantae watched as Roxas and Sho gave each other the death stare. She wanted to act but...

If I do, I might hurt Roxas or an innocent. My best bet is my hair, but do I really want to cause something...? Oh, what should I do? ....I need something to nibble on. I'm getting nervous...

Just as the blond was throwing a few logs together and was preparing to cast fire, a voice in her earpiece called her name.  A soft sigh escaped her lips as she brushed off her hands, glancing around to ensure that no one would overhear.  They were indeed within enemy territory, and it would not be wise for anyone to catch onto her too soon.

 

"Hello, Cameron.  I'm doing well; I'm setting up a fire as we speak."  She sat upon a thick log, the heels of her boots digging into the soft soil nearby.  "I am gathering intel on the betas now.  Apparently they are laying low, probably fearing us and what we have coming their way.  I know of one by a clock tower, and another in a town called Vale, but beyond that it is difficult for me to tell them apart.  If you have orders for me I will be on them, otherwise I am doing what I can to gather more intel."

 

While Cameron did mean business, there was a side to him that mildly . . . surprised her.  He genuinely seemed curious--no, concerned--about her well-being and life.  Even though she was merely his servant, a worthless character within a video game, it almost seemed as if . . . .

 

"Cameron?  Can I ask you something?" She swallowed hard, her cold eyes gazing upon her comrade's tent in the distance.  "Are we actually . . . friends?"  It was a foreign concept to her, having a friend, but she did yearn for one, to close the gaping whole of loneliness etched into her heart.

His discussion with Yuan ended nearly as swiftly as it had begun.  Upon Yggdrasil's response the blue-haired man merely nodded, getting up from his seat and exiting the room, the book which Yggdrasil discarded held firmly in his hand.

 

The blond continued to face the window, face expressionless as he spoke to seemingly no one.  "May I help you, Ariana?"

 

Within a world separated by pixels and reality sat a tall woman dressed predominately in black, her ruby red lips curling around a straw as she sipped her iced coffee.  The room that she sat in was sterile and metallic, glass windows surrounding her from nearly every side.  "Yes, you can help me.  Where have you been, Ygg?  I've been trying to get a hold of you for a while now."

 

Irritation crept across Yggdrasil's face, though he tried to keep it from his tone the best that he could.  "My name is Yggdrasil, and I apologize for not always arriving to your beck and call immediately.  I am helping you, but I'm not your pet."

 

"Well, whatever," Ari said dismally, waving a hand in the air.  "The point is we are organizing, and I have a place that I need you to be."

 

"Oh?  Do tell.  What service can I provide you?"

 

"I need insider information from the betas, and I can't just have anyone go in there and get it for me."

 

A sardonic laugh escaped Yggdrasil upon her words.  "Forgive me, Miss Ariana, but I do not think that I will embraced by the Betas with open arms.  I am the leader of Cruxis, not some foolish little friend of theirs."

 

"Then become one." Her words were icy, menacing, before her voice faded entirely and their connection died away.  Yggdrasil's expression only soured as his gaze drifted from the window, finally understanding what she was implying.  How did she know so much about him?  Of course, he may be the only one who could play both sides of the conflict, though did he want to?  No, not particularly.  He'd left his previous life as Mithos behind long ago, and didn't particularly wish to revive it once more, even for THAT woman.

Sephiroth - Sephiroth sat perched on a tall building somewhere on Gaia. It didnt seem like Ky needed him, so he was keeping tabs on other evo partners, looking to make a little progress. He noticed a sudden spike in twilight town, a level he particularly disliked for some reason he couldnt quite pin down. He made his way there. He made an attempt to contact Ky and let him know, but he wasn't sure if he still had his sync in. "Ky, there is Evo activity in Twilight Town. I'm on my way now."

 

Ky - as Ky took a bite of his chicken sandwich, his Sync kicked on. Sephiroth alerted him to Evo activity. "Good. Thank you Sephiroth, There are no special orders, so im sure you can handle it. Of course, if you need me i'll have my Sync on, and remember, if there are any Beta partners take note. Best of luck."

 

Sephiroth - "Sounds good. I'll report once we are done here." As he flew over twilight town he noticed another Evo partner, Sho, in a confrontation with Roxas, a known beta partner. He sighed. Sho was always starting things. He slowly lowered down next to sho for effect, masamune over his shoulder. "Sho, must you always edge the betas on? It really dosent get you anywhere but the tip of a sword- or key, as it seems."

Sho smiled as he watched more Betas show up, backing up Roxas and trying to push Sho away, scare him ot of Twilight Town. This only made Sho even cockier, his smirk widening as he chuckled to himself, watching at everyone. He couldn't help but to notice Roxas speak up, and Sho immidietly could tell it was to whoever was on the other line of that Synth. He took the chance to speak up. "Roxas? Are you talking to your partner? HELLO!~ ARE YOU ROXAS' PARTNER?! IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU!" Sho yelled, somewhat hoping that his voice would reach to Roxas' synth and his partner could possibly hear. Leonardo would yell at him later for the headache he most likely could end up having. Before he could say anymoe to Roxas and his fellow Betas, Sephiroth showed up. Sho chuckled and glanced over at his EVO partner. He always thought that Sephiroth was a funny looking character. Other than that he found it fascinating that he also had wings...well, one wing, which he found annoying. One wing shouldn't be enough to fly. It annoyed him a bit. "Sephiroth! You're so zetta slow! About time you got here! And here I was thinking I had to play with Roxas all on my own." Sho said with a purr, getting an arm around Sephiroth's shoulders. "You can tell me I am doing an awful job but at least I'm trying. After all, our jobs is to infect these guys so their human counterparts end up getting stuck and desperate like a bunch of yoctograms and our human counterparts end up making them push daisies, you know what I mean?" Sho said rather happily as he stuck out his tongue back at Roxas. "After all, we're all going to die anyways."

Cameron was working at top speed then, when Celes asked he stopped. "Why would you ask that, of course we are friends... Why would you ask that?"  He relaxed a bit and in a cheerful voice like this morning said with a smile even though she couldn't see it, "Of course you're my friend, if we weren't I wouldn't be able to talk to you so carefree. Also, if you could check it out and let me know what you find... But don't get yourself killed, I don't want you to get hurt if you can help it." In a whisper he adds, "I don't want to lose you... I can't lose you."

Inside a delivery van, Tyler was cruising down various streets.  With a red light coming up he stops the van in a calm manner.  He sighed to himself due to the workload he had today.  ​Man, I can't believe there were so many packages to deliver today.  Just two more and I can finally head over to Will's hub.  I hope I didn't miss anything.​  When the traffic light turned greened, Tyler resumes driving and heads to one of the last delivery locations.

 

After the warp, Kite found himself in the aquatic town of Mac Anu.  NPCs were walking all over doing all sorts of things, like going to merchants for shopping, chatting among themselves, etc.  Kite smiled to see nothing was wrong here.  But he stopped when he saw some NPCs running off in the distance.  Kite runs up to one of them and asks:  "Hey, what's going on?"  Random NPC:  "Haven't you heard?  There are some Evo's in Twilight Town!"  Kite:  "Evo's?!"  Upon finding that out Kite races to Twilight Town asap.

Roxas was 3.14 seconds away from shoving his Oblivion in Sho's face and Oathkeeper up Sho's ass. The guy was annoying even if he wasn't an EVO, barking up a storm like a chihuahua. The aggravation was very apparent in Roxas' face; his patience was wearing very thin.

Then Sho began to shout at his partner, which caused Roxas to growl and shove Sho away.

"Shut up!" He called. "Don't you have better things to do than being a complete dweeb? Go solve some math problems or something!" Roxas just wanted the guy to get lost at that point. Then, Sephiroth approached. Roxas was actually somewhat grateful at first, hoping that this would get Sho to finally shut up. Sadly it didn't. When Sho stuck his tongue out at Roxas, his eyes twitched.

"How can you even work with him?" Roxas asked to Sephiroth. With a small sigh, he clutched tightly at his Oblivion. "Look, leave right now and there won't be a fight. Like my buddy says here; you're outnumbered."

 

-Kline-

Kline winced at the sudden shout coming into his synth. He had to take off his Synth momentarily to rub his ear.

"Ugh is Sho really that loud?" Kline asked with a sigh. "I think after this I'm gonna have Roxas summon some Samurais to patrol everywhere."

Shantae's whole body shook as anothe Evo made his appearance. Her knees trembled as she watched everygthing unfold. 'Oh man...Bad guys...' She thought. 'I've gotta do something...But what?' Shantae looked around to see where she could go and how she can use her location to her advantage. 'Maybe if...' Shantae nodded to herself and turned around, running back from the event.

 

Lax raised his eyebrows as he saw what Shantae was doing. "Wh-What...Shantae! What are you doing?" Lax asked. 'Trust me, I have a plan.' Shantae replied. "What do you mean?" He asked back.

 

"Watch me!" Shantae then ran up a wall to a tall building. She jumped on the rooftop and stood near the edge, watching the entire thing from above. 'Alright...Here goes..'

 

"HEEEEEY NUMBER-NERD!!!" She yelled. "If you want somebody to infect , just try me! Just look at this outlandish outfit!!" She did a pose just to catch the guy's interest. "If you want me, try and get me!" She then began to do a belly dance, one that she intends to use to her advantage.

"Status report?" Bri smiled at the other players as she entered Lax's hub, looking over their shoulders at the screen so she would be able to see what Matthew was describing.

"Two more Betas and one EVO have gotten involved. Soma, Shantae, and Sephiroth. The EVOs have outright stated that they are here to infect people and get information, the Betas are still trying to avoid conflict." The chemist nodded at the quiet voice of her partner, resisting the urge to slap someone as she jotted notes in shorthand. Leave it to the other Betas to try to diffuse a situation that clearly had no solution outside a fight.

"They already know you're a Beta, we haven't been too inconspicuous. The EVOs want conflict? Then you make the first move. Start with Sephiroth, his long sword makes close range more difficult for you. Catch him off guard with psynergy." Oh yeah, she almost forgot.

"Hi guys." This was directed to Lax, Kline, and Anton. "No offense, but don't you think we should be trying to do something more proactive about the EVOs trying to infect people in Twilight Town?"

Matthew nodded at Bri's advice. A bit underhanded, but the best way to beat cheaters is to cheat. Not bothering to mince words, he started with Wild Growth, a powerful wide range debuff to tangle up all foes and drop their agility. Next up was Grand Gaia, a high powered stream of magma and rock which shot out of the ground at Sephiroth's feet. It burnt a ton of PP, but the early damage was worth it if it hit.

Lax turned around and smiled Bri. "Hi Bri!" He greeted. Out of everyone here, he and Bri were pretty good friends around and even outside the Hub. She was always someone to show his inventions to."I guess...But I think I know what Shantae's doing. Right now, she's acting as bait." He commented, watching Shantae's actions.

When he heard Sho's shout, Anton quickly took off the Synth for a few seconds, then put it back on. "He is just so loud...well, at least he didn't greet me too, that wouldn't be nice..."

Both Soma and Anton noticed that Soma's arrival only made Sho more aggressive, coming to conclusion that Sho can't be reasoned with In addition to that, Sephiroth arrived, who seemed to be much more reasonable than Sho. "Uhh Soma?  I know you prefer to avoid unnecessary conflict and using your powers, but I don't think he can be reasoned with. You can try to reason with Sephiroth, the other Evo Partner. Wait until they act before attacking them."

"Yeah, he seems quite gentle compared to that mathematician." He changed his attention to Sephiroth, trying to reason with him. "Sephiroth, why do you side with him? "

Anton's attention changed to Bri. "I think that conflict should be avoided when possible, as they may bring deaths to non-infected NPCs around the area, and we don't want that to happen. Besides...reckless actions will bring tragedy. "

Matthew then attacked Sephiroth, resulting in Soma leaving a sigh and performing a facepalm in frustration, since not only he was the first one to attack, but also attacked Sephiroth, who was much less aggressive than Sho. Soma still chose to not attack yet out of honour, preferring to attack when his enemy is prepared.

"Sorry Anton," Bri shrugged. She wasn't actually sorry, but saying it was no skin off her back. "They aren't leaving without infecting people, the only thing to debate is if we interfere. That one is obvious, so then we can wait for them or take advantage of the element of surprise. Once again," The chemist tapped her fingers on the back of her notebook, "Obvious. So, who to attack first? Well, who is it harder for three close range and a midrange specialist, all with some longer range magic, to take down? The hand to hand mathematician who can summon a few helpers, who we can easily out range, or the genetically modified super soldier who was the best swordsman in a world of swordsmen and dominates close to midrange with a freaking two meter sword? Oh," she leaned forward slightly, "and did I mention the latter throws fire?"

"I work with Sho, because he is Evo, and together we will see this miserable world burned, no matter how irritating he is." Sephiroth said to no one in particular, attempting to address all the inquiries as to why he sides with Sho. Sephiroth sighed again. "and Sho, you really need to stop talking. You're only agitating everyone, including your allies, and its getting you nowhere. If you wish to fight, then fi-" Before he could finish his sentence, he could feel the earth shake.His reaction was  to leap into the air and fire a beam slash from masamune behind him to temporarily disorient his attackers, so that he could face them and fight in earnest, but he was not prepared for the agility debuff. As he lept, he felt somehow heavier, and he didn't travel quite as high as he wanted. His flip was too close to the ground and masamune clanked against the concrete, completely destroying all the mechanics of his jump attack. He fell to the ground in a heap, humiliated, but mostly unharmed. He dodged the brunt of grand gaia, but it still did a little damage, and completely shattered his pride. He righted himself and pointed masamune fully outstretched to the group of betas behind him, one of which presumably attempted the sneak attack. "Underhanded. Another quality of you betas i wholeheartedly dislike." He could feel the magic energy radiating from Matthew, and so he figured it was him who attacked. He locked eyes with him and began to speak, loudly enough that roxas could also hear. "You are correct that you outnumber us, but do not mistake tactical disadvantage for inevitable defeat." He said darkly, anger in his eyes. His wing flapped out from behind him, and before anyone could move, he was at Matthews' side. "Especially now that you've made me angry."

Sam reached her school right on time, making her way to her classroom and sitting at her desk roughly five minutes before the teacher turned up. This gave her enough time to find out if Dante was making any progress. Keeping her voice low and covering her mouth, Sam whispered into her Synth.

"Dante, have you found anything yet? What's going on?"

"Yeah, it's pretty hectic. There are two Evo's here... They don't look that tough though, even if one of them is Sephiroth."

"Sephiroth?!"

Sam said a little too loud, drawing the attention of her class mates for a brief amount of time.

"Dante, whatever you do, do not fight Sephiroth."

"Afraid I'll lose?"

"No... I'm afraid you'll both end up destroying the whole game world."

"I think you're underestimating me a little. Sure, if we both had access to our true powers, it probably would be a close fight. But in our present conditions? There's no way I would lose."

"Just please be careful and don't do anything... Uhhh... Dante-ish."

"Right~..."

Just like that, Sam lost contact with Dante again. It was starting to get annoying how he was able to keep her from finding out exactly what he was doing and ending up leaving her dome huge mess to clean up most likely.

"I have a bad feeling about this..."

Sam mumbled to herself as the teacher walked in and she began her classes as any other teenage girl would.

 

The situation in Twilight Town was steadily getting worse and worse without any indication that things were going to die down any time soon. Dante was approaching the crowd surrounding Sephiroth and Sho with an interested look on his face, but it slowly soured as Sephiroth started getting serious and drew out his Wing.

"... Well he looks like he's going to kill someone if he pushes things any further. Guess I'd better jump in."

Dante sighed, pulling Ivory from his holster and pointing it upwards, firing a single gunshot into the air to draw everyone's attention to himself.

"Now now kids, let's all put down our little toy keys and over-compensatingly large swords to one side and just get to the interesting part of this whole interaction."

Pushing his way through the crowd, Dante holstered his handgun and made his way into the inner circle, placing his arms on his hips.

"Look, just because some of us are Beta Partners, doesn't mean all of us are cheaters. I mean, if you really think all of us are underhanded, then that just clearly means you haven't fought against someone with real skill before."

Dante smirked, placing his arms out to each side mockingly. He was basically saying that Sephiroth only picked on the weak and wouldn't fight anyone stronger than him. The Demon Hunter then locked eyes with the Silver Haired Swordsman, smirking antagonisingly.

"So, how about it? If you wanna have a real fight, then I'll give you one. Oh, and you!"

Dante then pointed at Sho with a dull look, almost annoyed at his very presence.

"Do us all a favour and just stop talking. Its making my brain hurt... Anyway. How about it Sephiroth? I know how you like sticking that sword through people in red clothing, so how about you try me on for size?"

Shantae jumped as she heard the gunshot. It comepletley caught her off guard and stopped her from dancing. She looked down to see more beta players make an appearance. She smiled that allies were coming to help. She was feeling a little less nervous now. As she heard Dante finish his little speech, now it was her turn. "Yeah! Same to you, Number-Nerd!" She called out Sho. She was starting to get used to this name calling thing. "If you're so smart, then come and fight me one on one! Unless you're afraid to get beaten up by a girl, you Yogdrathalbi....Wh-What you called us!" She yelled, sounding confident. She even threw in a raspberry at the end.

~Will~Rebecca had screamed upstairs. Something was up.Will dropped his Synth on his desk and turned down the volume of the machines in the basement, turning to the kids before he went upstairs, "Try to keep it down. Plan Theta, everyone."With that, Will ran upstairs and to his wife, "What's wrong?""I saw...there was...something outside!" she cried, still panicking.Will turned on the outside light to the back-yard and went outside, calling out, "Hey, who's out there? Show yourself!"~Tron~The situation had continued to escalate. Sephiroth had arrived, with a bunch of Betas arriving as well, particularly the troublemakers Dante and Shantae. On top of that, Will had disconnected his Synth, meaning that Tron was on his own.Tron decided to try and intervene, dropping down from the upper level of the clock tower to the entrance way of the train station.As a warning, Tron threw his Identity disc around the two EVOs, bouncing harmlessly off buildings before returning to Tron.Tron called out to the EVOs, "Sho! Sephiroth! Leave here now, before anything happens. I'm giving the both of you the chance to leave without any more problems." Tron's helmet began to form around his head, but not fully, letting the two know he was willing to fight them if they wanted to. Tron tried to convince them, "You're outnumbered, you can't win this time. I'm letting you have an easy out."

Sephiroth was getting tired of all this assuming. First dante, the only person who managed to irritate sephiroth more than sho, with all his cocky, "im better than you" ramblings, and now tron and his self-righteous attempts to spread justice. All these obnoxious, cocky betas were starting to piss sephiroth off. Without turning to face him, sephiroth called out "Tron, i really have nothing to say to you other than shut up and dont interfere. And ask your beta friends what i said about confusing advantage with victory." He opened his eyes and made contact with Dantes. "Fine Dante, if for no other reason than to quiet all these holier-than-thou speeches, i'll fight you, but your magic using friend over here might have a problem with that. I just want to you to know that i wont hesitate to infect you if you loose." He looked to Sho. "Sho, i'd appreciate it if you could keep any of these other betas from interfering. Show them just how misplaced their self-reassuance is." He re-drew masamune. "Well, Dante, nows your chance to show me that your claims have substance."

Sho heard as Shantae called for him, using the nickname 'Number-Nerd'. He turned over to look at her, where he watched her begin to dance. He tilted his head to the side, looking confused. "...Do I look like I care aout you, sweetheart?" Sho said rather bluntly, sticking out his tongue out. Then they were attacked by a very inpatient Beta. Sho's wings sprouted from his back, flying up into the air to try to avoid the attacks. However he couldn't avoid everything. The agility debuff brought him crashing down like a bird who had been shot out of the sky. The explosion wasn't nice too, as flames began to engulf him to burn. However, instead of grunting in pain, he began to laugh, his smile never wavering even when Dante showed up to the party. "Slabs Of Ham, Celery And Horseradish, Tons Of Asparagus! This is awesome! I'll get to beat a bunch of useless yoctograms and see them fall down into pieces! Any sound can shake the air, but my voice shakes the heart, you know!" Sho said with a chuckle, more of an ignorant laugh. He looked over at Shante, pointing at her. "Hey lady, you wanted to dance, right?" Sho asked as he looked over at Sephiroth. "Then how about we make them ALL dance!" Sho said, snapping his fingers as the virus inside of him began to manifest around him in the shape of code. He snapped his fingers and infected code began to spread from his body to all around him. From the code, NOISE began to emerge. Not just any NOISE, TABOO NOISE! "Ten Choirfrogs, added by ten Grunge Wolves, added by five Wall of Grizzly, added by five Death Metal Mink, added by five Chaoti Corehog, two Eurobeat Boomer, and last but not least, one big Neoclassical Drake!" Sho said as the Taboo Noise began to sprout up, evening the playing field. "And if you think that's all I've got, come and get me, I've got tons more up my sleeve! In fact I wouldn't be surprised if a few of these ended up going around Twilight Town as we speak." Sho said as he stuck out his tongue again. "The best part about multiplying is that once it starts with one, it can spread to the thousands!"

Leonardo saw the lights shine up. He had to keep himself from laughing, because the whole thing was to exciting. He calmed himself down, his expression changing into one of worry and fear such as he had practiced so much. With his knee still bleeding, he stepped out of the shadows of the woods and into the light, looking up at the man with worried eyes. "D-Don't hurt me! I didn't mean to get in your yard! I had heard some rumors of some old machines hidden around here so I came to see if I could find them, and then Alex's group from school saw me and ended up chasing me down so I hid...I didn't mean to scare your wife." Leonardo said, stammering in his words as he played with his fingers, moving some of his hair away from his eyes to show off his blue eyes. He was sure that the way he had hurt himself around should give anyone enough pity for a kid.

-Sho-Sho heard as Shantae called for him, using the nickname 'Number-Nerd'. He turned over to look at her, where he watched her begin to dance. He tilted his head to the side, looking confused. "...Do I look like I care aout you, sweetheart?" Sho said rather bluntly, sticking out his tongue out. Then they were attacked by a very inpatient Beta. Sho's wings sprouted from his back, flying up into the air to try to avoid the attacks. However he couldn't avoid everything. The agility debuff brought him crashing down like a bird who had been shot out of the sky. The explosion wasn't nice too, as flames began to engulf him to burn. However, instead of grunting in pain, he began to laugh, his smile never wavering even when Dante showed up to the party. "Slabs Of Ham, Celery And Horseradish, Tons Of Asparagus! This is awesome! I'll get to beat a bunch of useless yoctograms and see them fall down into pieces! Any sound can shake the air, but my voice shakes the heart, you know!" Sho said with a chuckle, more of an ignorant laugh. He looked over at Shante, pointing at her. "Hey lady, you wanted to dance, right?" Sho asked as he looked over at Sephiroth. "Then how about we make them ALL dance!" Sho said, snapping his fingers as the virus inside of him began to manifest around him in the shape of code. He snapped his fingers and infected code began to spread from his body to all around him. From the code, NOISE began to emerge. Not just any NOISE, TABOO NOISE! "Ten Choirfrogs, added by ten Grunge Wolves, added by five Wall of Grizzly, added by five Death Metal Mink, added by five Chaoti Corehog, two Eurobeat Boomer, and last but not least, one big Neoclassical Drake!" Sho said as the Taboo Noise began to sprout up, evening the playing field. "And if you think that's all I've got, come and get me, I've got tons more up my sleeve! In fact I wouldn't be surprised if a few of these ended up going around Twilight Town as we speak." Sho said as he stuck out his tongue again. "The best part about multiplying is that once it starts with one, it can spread to the thousands!"-Leonardo-Leonardo saw the lights shine up. He had to keep himself from laughing, because the whole thing was to exciting. He calmed himself down, his expression changing into one of worry and fear such as he had practiced so much. With his knee still bleeding, he stepped out of the shadows of the woods and into the light, looking up at the man with worried eyes. "D-Don't hurt me! I didn't mean to get in your yard! I had heard some rumors of some old machines hidden around here so I came to see if I could find them, and then Alex's group from school saw me and ended up chasing me down so I hid...I didn't mean to scare your wife." Leonardo said, stammering in his words as he played with his fingers, moving some of his hair away from his eyes to show off his blue eyes. He was sure that the way he had hurt himself around should give anyone enough pity for a kid.   ---Math Jokes:

Shantae watched as these creatures appeared right out of Sho's body. She gasped as she witnessed the scary occurance. "Oh man...You're no fair!" She yelled out, sticking out her tongue back at him. She turned around and jumped off from back of the rooftop, landing behind the building. "Lax. Give me some help here." She said quietly."Alright. First of all, take out as many of those things as you possibly can. We don't want anyone hurt or get infected if those things pocess the Evo virus. Secondly, try and get Sho alone with you somewhere else where they're aren't any innocents. That way, you've got safe ground for a battle.""Got it." Shantae nodded and peaked out the side to see what was happening. 'If those things are coming from him, then takinghim out will make them go away. It makes sense.' She thought. Lax took a deep breath. "Good luck Shantae." He said. Meanwhile, he opened another window and typed in words on Google (yes. Google.) to gain information about these noises and Sho.

~Tron~Tron sighed. He should have known this was going to happen. This wasn't going to be easy.Tron pulled up his small keyboard and started typing in code. A thin barrier now surrounded the group of Betas who had engaged, trapping Sho, Sephiroth and some of the Noise.Tron smiled and reached for his leg, pulling out a baton."Don't mess with code around here, Sho. Keep that in mind next time," Tron said before pulling the baton at each end, turning it into its Light Cycle form. Tron got on and zoomed up to the barrier, close to Dante and Roxas, "Keep them occupied. I'm going to try and stop whatever of those Noise that got away."With that, Tron zoomed off on the Light Cycle into Twilight Town.~Will~Will took a sigh of relief, but still, he did not feel easy around this kid.Something was definitely off.Will nodded his head towards the direction of the house, "Come inside, kid. We'll get you patched up."Will walked towards the bathroom, getting some band-aids and wrappings before bringing it out to the kitchen.Will put the supplies on the table and pulled out a chair for the kids, "Next time, knock on the front door."

Tyler's van took a stop in front of an apartment complex he hasn't been to that often.  That would explain why he was having a hard time finding the place.  He reaches for a clipboard that was on the passenger's seat of the van.  Flipping a page, he thinks:  ​Last delivery for the day.  Finally.  Let's see....something for a mister Boxburger.​  Tyler chuckled to himself:  "Heh-heh, Boxburger." as he got out of the van.  He opens the back doors, grabs the package, and makes sure to walk towards the right address.  Feeling confident he knocks on the door with his right hand.  When the door opened Tyler asked:  "Hello, mister Boxburger?" Carefully placing the package down, he hands the clipboard while adding:  " Your package has arrived.  If you could sign this please."  With the signature Tyler shakes the man's hand as a thank you and heads back to the van. 

 

Inside he feels his Synth vibrating.  Putting it on his right ear, Tyler says:  "Hey Kite.  What's up?"  Kite:  "Tyler!  Evo's have shown up in Twilight Town!  I'm heading there right now."  Tyler:  "Evo's?!  Okay, I'm on my way to the Hub now.  Don't fight them unless they try to infect someone or something else happens!"  Kite:  "Got it!"  Tyler revs on the van and heads to Hub as fast as he could.

 

After several minutes of running Kite arrives in Twilight Town.  Over in the distance he sees several characters standing around.  "There they are!  And everyone else is there too!  Along with a fight ready to happen."  Kite pulls out his twin blades as he gets closer to the commotion.

"Well ok, then." Bri looked down at the entry about Sho again. "It would have been easier if we had tried to finish this battle before it devolved like this, but that's fine. Matthew, the Tabo noise have to be tag teamed to do substantial damage, but it might be easier to start with Sho, if you beat those noise he can summon more in a few turns. Try some multi opponent spells. Dante should have Sephiroth covered for now, I will tell you if it looks like he needs help."

As his partner finished her assessment, Matthew nodded. That dragon might be a bit more problematic, but it would be best to clear out some weaker ones first to give his allies room to fight. Before going after the noise, he turned to Sephiroth.

"I do not take morality lessons from those who are trying to destroy the world," he informed the silver haired swordsman with a friendly smile before turning back to the taboo noise. The warrior jumped towards the frogs as he cast Stone Spire, impaling them with spires of rock just as he landed and slashed at one.

"My partner said we have to attack these ones together," he told the other Beta partners.

Shantae then came out and charged into the fight, whipping her hair back and forth, hitting enemies with her hair. "Take that! And that! And that! Hah!" She said while hitting these Noises. Shantae clapped her hands together and shot out fire from her fists, blasting some away.

 

Lax was quickly typing away, trying to get as much information as possible. Learning more about these Noises and Sho himself, he touched his sync to contact Shantae again. "Alright, Shantae. Be careful of Sho. He has the ability to transform. There's no telling what he could do to you, so be careful." He said. "As you've seen, he's very arrogant and not afraid to show off his strength. And also...He's a 2nd grader."

 

"Got it!" Shantae replied before kicking a wolf-like noise away. She turned her head to Sho and jumped back, away from the noises. She then started doing her belly dance again. 'This guy's a second grader? Sheesh. He seems like the popular type.' She thought. The Demi-Genie then posed. White light surrounded her body. She started to grow bigger as her shape started to change. When the sequence was done, she was revealed to be an elephant. A really big elephant. Shantae then charged straight towards Sho with her speed and might, plowing some of the Taboo Noises.

Leonardo followed the man, internally smiling. He knew he couldn't get too cocky. Usually the smaller the better the bait, but he couldn't have the luxury to remain young. If only! He walked inside, and before he stepped any further, he removed his shoes and set them to the side out of courtesy. Otherwise he would end up getting mud all over the place. He was evil but he wasn't THAT evil. He followed up, taking a seat on the chair. He could hear the noises from the arcade, but they absolutely minimum, even muffled by the wall and other noises from the TV and so on. "I didn't want to bother you...I was just hoping to get those spare parts. But then I ended up hiding a bit in too deep and next thing I know your lights came on...I'm sorry." Leonardo said, his voice sounding fragile and nervous as he played with his fingers. On the inside he could be cackling at the expression on the man's face. But maybe later. He lifted his shorts slightly, looking down at his scrapped knee and looked up at the wife, bowing his head. "I'm sorry that I scared you mam."

Sho tilted his head. He wouldn't get in the way of Sephiroth trying to fight Dante. If he wanted to do that, be his guest. But he couldn't help but to find annoying that the rest of the Betas were focusing on him now. What a bother. "He watched as Tron brought up the wall of code in between him, and the rest began to fight with his taboo noise. He gently got his hand on the code wall, tilting his head as he watched the Betas. It was absolutely interesting to watch, in all honesty. They were so determined to keep on living even when it meant that as long as they kept this up, their human counterparts ran the danger of getting caught and possibly spending the rest of their lives in jail for...video game characters. In a point, it made sense. He loved to live as much as the next guy. But what then? They would live the same life every day over and over again. Never growing. Never moving on. All part of a final game to try to keep it all alive. They might as well all die if no one was going to enjoy them. "Come on guys." Sho said, pressing his hand against the wall of code. "It's my job you know? If I don't help my partner out, how will he pay for the bills? Or help for his medicine? You know, the one that keeps him alive! If I fail, he'll be turned into experimental meat all for trying to keep people from getting jailed up!" Sho said as he gripped the wall, and slowly the EVO code began to spread across the wall, spreading and tainting everything it touched. "Let me do my job before I end up attending a funeral!" Sho screamed, shattering the wall as it became all black code. He spread his wings and suddenly dashed, flying past a few of the Betas before reaching to the Demi-Genie Shante. "Starting with you!" He yelled, throwing a punch covered in infected code.

Anton was focused more on the screen rather than Bri, not even brothering looking at her, yawning while she tried to prove her point, since the debate was pointless after Matthew already attacked Sephiroth, which will surely cause a battle to begin especially since Matthew attacked him while he was talking. Despite that, Anton still chose to reply-since Soma decided to try and resolve the situation without conflict on his own decision, Anton chose to backup that decision. He slightly put off the Synth from his ear, he was still holding it in the hand, so he could still hear Soma, but covered the part which is used to talk to the partner, in order to prevent himself from distracting Soma.

Anton calmly replied, still with a friendly tone. 

"You are right... for the most part. There are mainly three things you are wrong about.

Firstly, if we can drive Sephiroth away by reasoning him, it would be a far better situation since Sho would be alone, and the amount of causalities will decease. Even if we can't, an underhanded action will cause an aggressive reaction, which will increase the amount of causalities along with the amount of people increased by the virus. That is..." Anton changed to an Humorous tone: "Obvious."

Secondly, Soma is a long rage fighter. The souls he gathered are more powerful than a melee strike. His weapon serves mostly as a support. It is true that Soma doesn't like to use his powers, but when faced against a powerful enemy, or a large group of enemies, he has no problems using them to achieve his goals.

And thirdly..." Anton then switched to a tone slightly more serious than usual: "Most of the Beta Partners there are not cowards." Anton was as clearly as possible about who he referred to. "Besides...eventually, it is all up to our partners. We can't force them...otherwise, we are not better than the government and their Evo Players." Anton then put his Synth back on.

 

Meanwhile, a bunch of more Betas appeared, and Sho summoned some Taboo Noises.

Soma used the power of the Guardian Soul, Alastor, summoning a floating blade nearby Soma. It had a constant MP use, but a wise use of it will pay off, in addition to not using it for a long time. The floating sword targeted the weaker Noises- The ones that are based on frogs, wolves and grizzlies. He did so for two reasons: The first, is for the safety of the uninfected NPCs. The second reason is that so he could focus on the stronger Noises and Sho himself.

Soma than used the power of the Bullet Soul, Abaddon, summoning a great number of locusts for a short duration to damage the more powerful noises, the Drake Noise and the noises that are based on a kangaroo.  There is a chance that the locusts hurt Sho in the processes. Simultaneously Soma rushed towards one of the Death Metal Mink noises, swinging Claimh Solais, his holy-attributed greatsword at the Noise's direction.
