Have you ever wondered why it rains in the worst possible moment?  Does it ever feel like someone is watching you?  Why are you really so scared of the dark, when there is almost always nothing there?

 

The truth is, there are explanations to all of these things, only we as humans lack the knowledge of them.

 

Far above us in the medieval era dwells a kingdom--no, a world--filled with whimsy, fantasy and phenomena of your wildest dreams.  The world dwells above the clouds, filled with rich stone walls, cobblestone homes, water fountains aplenty, and the palaces whose splendor rivals even that of the great King Alderon down below in the human world.  This world is beautiful, massive, and rich.

 

But who could live in this world, you are probably asking yourself, if this happened long, long ago back in the age of medieval living?  If there are no planes, how could people reach this magnificent place?  And if humans did not know of this world, then what could possibly live there?  There is only one simple explanation, and that explanation is the very reality of what lives there: fey.

 

Fey, all sorts of fey.  Predominately fairies, though they are not your average fairy that you read about in a bedtime story.  They are in every sense of the word human, only they are gifted with three things that the mere human does not possess: magic, immortality, and flight.  The range of fey that dwell in the Overworld vary, from fairies, imps, minotaurs, eidolons, vampires, and just about any mythical race.  While it would seem they have a paradise, it may be surprising that they desire something much, much more, more expansive such as the world below.

 

Which has brought them into the disaster that has befallen them today.

 

A young fey, perhaps three hundred years old, ventured into the forbidden world below, sneaking past security with his two friends.  He met many humans, many curious, some kind, and others . . . more power-thirsty than anything.  A dreadful fate befell the three friends: one had been kept by the human King Alderon for his own dark experimental purposes, another died while trying to save him, and the last made it home, but was punished so severely he'd wished that he'd died.  While the majority of the underworld do not know of the existence of the Fey kingdom, King Alderon does, and he's attempting to reign supreme over all the kingdoms of his world.  In doing so he plans to use the one weapon he doesn't have and is known as a forgotten art: magic.  Yes, magic existed within these young fey, and he would stop at nothing to obtain these magics for his own purposes, even if it meant draining the poor fey dry of their magic, killing them in the process of transferring this magic into their own warriors.

 

You have a choice: to be human, or be a member of the mythical race of the Overworld preparing for the greatest of wars between worlds.  If you are a human you wouldn't know anything about fey, unless you serve directly under King Alderon and know of his plans.  If you are of the Overworld you have never been to the main world, but rather have only heard stories and probably yearn to see what it is like.  Travel between the worlds is forbidden for fey, to prevent the very tragedy that the young boy had created.  You may choose most any race for an Overworld dweller, though if I feel it isn't a good fit or is over-powered I may decline the race.

 

The rules consist of:

 

1.) No god-modding.

2.) No auto-hitting or mass slaughter.  This means if you are battling someone don't make your hit automatically meet its target, but rather have it aimed at a player and they choose whether the attack hits or misses.  No mass slaughter means don't kill off a bunch of NPCs without permission.

3.) Go with the plot, and please choose a character that fits well with the world and setting.

4.) Original characters only.  If you would like to use a canon character please modify them until they are your own creation, and rather inspired by a canon character.

5.) When in a group of other people, please post after everyone in your group has posted.  I don't want anyone to fall too far behind.

6.) Keep everything PG-13, please.

7.) Romance is permitted, but again please remember rating restrictions.

8.) Please don't have invincible characters.  While you get to choose whether your character is hit by an attack, don't make them avoid everything or else it seems like god-modding.

9.) Don't be over-powered.

10.) All KH13 rules apply.

11.) This is going to be a heavy world-building roleplay, that will rely heavily on plot and character interaction.  I intend to keep this roleplay going for a considerable length of time, though it may not be entirely fast to update.  Having said that, please try to post at least once every two weeks, but if you are going to be away please let me know and we will make arrangements for your characters.  Should you remain absent for an extended length of time, I reserve the right to utilize your characters as I deem fit for the RP's progression.

Hey there, everyone.  A few bits of clarification, as my original diagram of what Mystras looks like is crude at best.  It is a tiered city that spills downward on a hill, with Raiden's villa, a separate estate on its own plot of land, on top.  All of the city's districts are completely walled except for massive gatehouses, and pinpointing things like flashes of light from a bar fight would be difficult through the multitude of buildings, though Raiden's tower and a few other higher spots might be a good vantage point for that.  Raiden's villa has small, shallow walls around it as well, mostly for decoration and privacy rather than defense.

 

I would love to draw a picture of it sometime, but I cannot at the moment, and it may take some time.  Please be excited. /shot by Square Enix

On the subject of Henry, Helios, the twins, and Gel, how about the involved characters (besides Henry, maybe, as he is still locked in battle) timeskip and post for your characters?  Gel can make himself known as soon as things fly at a faster pace if he decides to come along, and this way you catch up faster.

 

As for the Jimba fight, I hope that ends soon.  Things need to progress with this party to catch up to the rest.

 

I propose a outline for the halfway point regarding the various parties here.

 

1.)  Jynn's party (after the talk with Raiden), Elia's party, and Typhon's party (after the fight with Jimba) reunite at Jynn's mountain home to discuss matters and perhaps form an agreement or even an alliance under a royal banner.

2.)  Raiden and Shiva discuss matters in their private conversation.

3.)  Midnea, King Alderon, and the humans in the Overworld discuss matters amongst themselves, and Midnea carefully continues with her next phase in the scheme of things.

4.)  Helios and his friends break free from Vark and ascend to the Overworld's barely open barrier, thus getting into the Overworld.  It might be under heavy guard, though, so tread cautiously.

5.)  The Sondonians adjust to their circumstance and continue thrashing the Helvadorians, and Visco, Effie, and Everyth get their stuff at the very least somewhat situated.  There seems to be a lot going on with Pracia on the hunt, so consider this an any% run.

6.)  There could be a number of things I forgot, but I would like to include Jari as a potential party member for Jynn, Elia, and Typhon after the alliance.  He was last seen getting ready to leave Mystras, and he knows his way around Mystras and Raiden's villa.

These are some good suggestions; thank you for taking the time to think about the future for the RP like this. : )  I actually wasn't sure what to do with the party containing Elia, Aqua, Bherna, and Rufus as they have diverted so much from their original path.  Originally I had thought we can easily combine Typhon and Elia's parties and have them all travel to Mystras, but right now that is not practical since the events in Mystras are soon coming to a close and the fight with Jimba is nowhere near finished.  There are many factors at play, but I know that I'm partially responsible for the prolonged series of events because I keep forgetting to post for Elia.

 

All-in-all, Jynn's full group reconvening does sound like a very good plan, and should get more characters involved in the story again.  I'm not sure what will become of the trio in the Flowering Hyssop, but one way or another Yevgeni is going to leave Jynn's party after the fight with Baxter.  He is fed up with the way they're doing things, but in time he will rejoin again.  I'm not sure what will happen to Baxter and Rabiyu, but I'm guessing they both might join back with Jynn.

 

Yes, Raiden and Shiva will meet; we've got that planned out. : )  I also have plans with the Unversed for the Visco party, so things are well underway on that note.  It looks like Helvadoria is now being thrashed, and it's only a matter of time until the duke meets his match and gets killed, either at the hands of Pracia because he's bugging her too much or Alex, because he insensitively stated that his helmet looks funny.

 

Also, I would highly recommend this proposed timeskip with Helios, the twins, Gel, and Henry, so that way they can get into the Overworld and they can be a part of the bigger events.  Unless the fight with Vark is going to end soon, but it doesn't look like it from this viewpoint.  There's the possibility that the barrier may fall entirely soon, which means a lot of things for a lot of people.  Essentially, though, it means easier access for the World Below party.

 

Before you embark on this timeskip, however, I wanted to mention that I heard from Yuffie, who will likely be posting over the weekend.  If possible perhaps we can wait until she returns to get her post in, or if things don't go according to plan we can proceed on Tuesday.

 

Lastly, you should definitely have Jari join in!  Perhaps his younger more-responsible cousin (or so he thinks in the responsibility department ) Shirou, the bartender at the Flowering Hyssop, could join him as well.  That is, if you'd like them to be cousins.  They could be more like friends, but either way I can only imagine some fun coming from those two.  There are other reasons why I'll have room for this character, but more on that later. ; )

 

I do have some plans for the future, though some details are more concretely settled than others.  These are great ways to keep things moving at the present, which I thank you for suggesting. : )

While the idea of an alliance is nice. I doubt Typhon would be motivated enough to trust Jynn, the son of the queen who assisted in his race's anihilation. 

For all Typhon knows, Jynn would attack him on sight. And Typhon would really prefer not to shower someone else with acid. It hurts his acidic glands producing so much. 

 

Speaking of acid, I doubt Jimba's getting out of a firetrucking acid bath without wounds. I mean. Acid literaly melts shit when its corrosive enough. And Typhon is corrosive as firetruck.

I also based it on fluoroantimonic acid. Which has a whopping rating of -31.1PH.

 

Literaly the most corrosive acid in the world. Typhom's acid is a bit weaker. Around -19Ph. Which will go lower the more he evolves.

1) Hm, it's a bit hard to say what will happen to each group after their events are finished & when they will finish. But if I were to look at it through my vision I'd say Jynn & Alicia might head back to the bar where Jynn left Yev & Rabs to retrieve them both after the talk with Raiden if nothing happens right before heading back to his home for Elia, Aqua, Rufus, Bherna & the missing Baxter. I'm not sure what will happen with Baxter, Yev & Rabs in the bar though as things there could go in alot of directions like,.Yev & Rabs might end up killing or restraining Baxter, or Rabs might try using the wishing lamp in a split sec thought for whatever reason, or Yev might even try going after the wishing lamp himself when Rabs drops her guard around him, Rabs suddenly falls in love with Yev & they escape together using Rabs wish to live forever in love & happiness... haha just joking with that one. But heck they might all end up being captured by Mystras guards for all the commotion their causing in the bar haha & the fight with Jimba is far from done since hardly anyone has gotten the chance to fully immerse themselves into the fight, but that might be partly my fault for delaying his posts so that SB can catch up & create a post for Aqua. But that fight is about to get really group catching & intense in my next post for him haha .

4) I agree with a fast forward with this one, In fact I'd say that Helios while still in his birdy form & while carrying the others should just just fly down upon finding Henry & just grab Henry with Helios's big talons, picking him up like a mouse to a howl or eagle & just flying straight to the Overworld haha Causing knowing Vark he might not be willing to let Henry escape if Helios lands & transforms back to his normal form, but then again Vark might just stop his attack on Henry altogether since he'd rather fight Henry 1 vs 1. Vark ain't much on fighting groups since he believes its not showing true strength, he'd rather fight a strong opponent on his own then fight a group of weaklings that sum up a strong one.

I can't believe what the duke is doing! haha I mean he's following Pracia even after what she said to him haha But for some reason I slightly feel like the duke might end up being that bad guy that stays hidden in the background watching & waiting until Pracia finds the princess. Then when he sees a chance to capture or get to Visco he'd take it & probably use her as a hostage to escape Sondon. He's like that bad guy that only acts after the main fight or events happen to gain the advantage when all the other characters a beaten down & weak. Just thinking of him like this makes me hate his guts even more haha

I am sure Yevgeni would have a good spot in either King Asura's or Queen Leviathan's court, Rabs is from the Order of Judges so she cannot offer him a spot, unless he was her future replacement, but she could have a word with the Rulers of Caligo about Yev.

Rabiyu has no real use for the lamp, she doens't need wealth (she has all of Valdra's hoard at her disposal.), already have a long life, and her romantic game is practically nonexistent. She just think the lamp is pretty, and doesn't want anyone to succumb to greed. Perhaps Valdra would like to have the lamp in her hoard, among her large collection of artifacts.

Bout around the middle of the glaurund and the war of the north dragon. That was young me, however. Size was never a setback. Why do you think dragons are almost extinct in our current time? And Wyverns predominate? Because we've hunted most of them down.

As big as a mountain. Main reason as to why she lives deep into the ground of the Northern Continent. Easier to avoid the eyes of the curious if they can't see a dragon of that size wandering the Forest of Illusions, or the whole continent for that matter. Although Valdra values her privacy rather than being in public.

I also based it on fluoroantimonic acid. Which has a whopping rating of -31.1PH.
