If the opportunity for Henry to tag along, i would have him take it. If possible.

Maybe Raiden could order him to go with Sif and Mariel. We will see when the time comes.

Guys. I have a small warning to give.

Tomorrow I am going to the beach for a week, problem is. There is no internet in the house i'l be staying, so that means i'l most likely be using my phone data (which I can't make posts in, im not comfortable with it).

So that means i'l be off for an entire week, without being able to do anything. So I apologize if I end up holding someone back (which I most likely will).

Go! Beach! Fun!

It is going to be quite the interesting conversation, that is for sure.  Yev has an act that he must keep up, and he is hoping to set the stage so that he wins Soren's loyalty.  At the same time, the situation is . . . complex for him.  Soren seems eager to prove his loyalty to the queen and thus Kilkis Seres, so this will be entertaining. :D

Oh most definitely. At the same time, Soren must keep his composure, having just dealt with Shiva's death in person and failing to catch the assassin. One can imagine that was quite hard on him, but now he needs to be sure of a few things. Though he has to wonder...is he more loyal to Shiva simply serving Yevgeni, or by honouring his promise to Raiden?

He knows nothing of Yevgeni being complicit with Nergal's actions, nor would he suspect treachery just by looking at him. As their discussion progresses, it's all up to Yevgeni to keep his act up and not slip...entertaining indeed. :D

Hmm good point you have there.  I'd say most likely the latter, because keeping his promise to Raiden aligns with Shiva's beliefs upon her death, and she never liked Yevgeni even when he served her father.  He never would've been her choice for regent, but because he's been in the royal court longest, was present, and has a name, face, and reputation among the people, well . . . .  It happened.

Yevgeni is a rather slippery individual, mixing truth with his own falsehoods, which may come out as quite convincing to many.  I just wonder how Soren would respond when he uncovers what his next course of action is.  Let's just say that it's a bit destructive. :P  If they even get to that point in their discussion, that is.

That's what I was thinking too. Plus, Yevgeni won't exactly be Soren's favourite person if/when he finds out about his role in Shiva's assassination, regardless of his next move.

For a large crowd of a despairing, desperate kingdom, Yevgeni has the gift of the silver tongue. But for an ex-sentinel like Soren, with an ear to the ground, care will need to be taken, though he can't exactly beat around the bush if you mean what I think you mean.

I believe they will get to that point. :P

Yev is going to have to work really hard on his act once others start suspecting he had something to do with Shiva's assassination

I wonder what he will do once others learn of his actions. Rabs is going to be disappointed, that's for sure.

Henry won't have a reaction, he doesn't know Yevgeni.

Typhon wil shrug and snark.

Mikhail will frown and sigh, and then snark.

Maxis will go ballistic.

Oh jari. Maxis ain't gonna be very amused with what you said to him...

Jari will need a new heart once this adventure is over. If the poor guy is alive, of course.

Everyone is going to need teraphy and a vacation after this, tbh

Completely agree with that, my friend.

Everyone except Mielinare/Valdra, she has seen this happen many times before.

Yeah, if/when others find out I'm sure that Yev is going to have a lot of burnt bridges. xD  I do have something unexpected in store for him toward the end of the RP, though the outcome is wholly dependent on how others respond, chiefly Jynn.

That also reminds me: Yev was going to send a Kilkis Seres soldier to fetch Rabs.  When do you think it would be a good time for this soldier to appear to summon her for an audience?  He is hoping to gain favor from the north.

I'm seeing trouble brewing here, and I second the thought that Jari might need a heart transplant when this is all over. xD

Jynn upon figuring out Yev is the one who technically plotted Shiva's death

Maybe not. Guess we'll see how the plot goes.

Btw, I quit my job. It was too stressful, and it was interfering heavily with my posts and school. I should be able to post tonight or first thing in the morning.

You can send him any time you want. If Rabs goes to Kilkis with Raiden then maybe Yev can have a private conversation with her while Raiden and Jynn have their conversation.

I'm wondering a couple of things on my end. If Rabs finds out that the dagger that was stolen is the one that was used to murder Shiva then she is going to try and figure out why Yev did what he did. Her attitude towards him would not change, if only to make him trust her and reveal what he knows.

Levi is currently indisposed after she lost her composure and was released from her vessel when she learned that Shiva was gone. Asura is the one calling the shots right now, and if Rabs tells him that she doesn't trust Yev then Asura will not offer any kind of help. Perhaps he could listen to what Yev wants, but Asura believes in the words left by his late father-in-law. Sincerity is answered with sincerity. While Rabs or Sif believe that Raiden is telling the truth then the north will support Raiden.

I'm thinking that maybe Rabs could be a double agent, with permission of both Asura and Raiden, after discussing the topic with them.

Let's see what happen first.

That's too bad, BUT if it was too stressful for you then it is a good thing that you quit that job. Your health comes first, after all. And I'm sure a better job will come in the future.

Oh boy, that's sure something that Yev has to look forward to.  How menacing indeed. :P

I am sorry to hear about your job.  Some jobs are just extremely stressful and demanding, and will not work out no matter how hard you try to make them.  I do hope that the roleplay didn't contribute to your decision, however.  I completely understand how real life (and work) takes away from the life of RPing and have totally no problem in waiting for you to post.

I hope everything works out for you and you find something else that better suits your work/life balance. :)

Maybe it would align with what she's planning to do, in that case.  I'll see about having the soldier come up soon.

As for the dagger, I am seeing a couple of problems with this in terms of proper evidence.  While Yevgni did indeed begin to show Rabiyu the dagger in the tavern, they didn't have much time to linger upon it, nor did he explain what he was planning to do with it.  Second is that it had been destroyed by Raiden, so the murder weapon is no longer even in existence.  If Raiden does convey the weapon to Rabiyu there still won't be much that she can work with.  If she does manages to connect the dots to the weapon that Yev retrieved from Raiden's stash (I think the weapon was concealed in a leather wrapping on the table?  I don't think he had even shown it to her fully, but I will have to look back to those earlier posts to be sure), there is the possibility that it were a replica to frame Raiden, or Yev could simply state that it had been stolen from him at some point in Mystras.  It still could make her suspicious, but I don't think she'll have enough to go by, or to really convince anyone.

The possibility of Rabs being a double agent is indeed interesting, though. :D  We'll have to see how this plays out and figure out what works best!

Damn if I was there I would have had Henry ask Raiden what the man looked like.

*Pieces together and remembers the man's features and remembers him*

Henry: Oh, that guy!

Nah, I know what you're talking about. If I remember correctly Rabs never saw the dagger, she only knows that Yev ordered the Cerberos group to steal the weapon, but she doesn't know how it looks like, or what it could do since Yev never really told her about it thanks to Baxter. This was intentional on my part. If Raiden says that it was the dagger that was stolen from his vault then she can make the connection with Yev.

I don't fully remember if i read that the dagger was destroyed, if it did, then that's my mistake, but in case Raiden reveals that the dagger is a a feyslayer then Sif have some knowledge on those. I know the dagger is not enough evidence to pin on Yev, but it could be enought to make Rabs doubt Yev's words and they way he does things.

Yeah, we will see what Yev wants and then see what Asura and Raiden have to say about that.

I come back after what, like two days, to three pages on this thread?

(With Scrap at the beach and him wanting Henry to join up with Mariel and Sif, a delay with Everyth actually works out. Unless I'm holding you up, Elrandir?)

Not really. Actually, I'm fine with that too. I want to wait until Scrap comes back so Henry can have his chance to join Sif and Mariel, and ask Raiden whatever it is that he wants to ask. So, don't worry about me, Mariel can keep talking with Everyth if that's what you want.

~Aqua: At the Camp, Kilkis Seres~
Aqua watched Sorean walk away. A gentle sigh left her lips. She looked toward the sky. No use in avoiding the truth anymore she would need to go see Elia. That being said she could almost swear she could hear a struggle. She rolled her eyes. Well, she might as go see Elia and check if there was a fight at the same time. She felt nervous to be honest and yet she needed to do it, besides the idea of a fight at the camp bothered her. She steadied her nerves and headed toward the sounds of yelling. It wasn’t very far from her tent and took only a minute or two of walking to reach her destination. “What’s going on here?” She demanded worriedly.

She could see Elia one the ground with another female standing in front of her in a protective stance. There was also a male in armor, or rather what she thought to be a male in armor. She couldn’t fully gauge the situation at a glance, but something felt wrong about the male even from a glance. He seemed almost to be acting as if he had to minds. Well, she could only guess anyway, regardless something about him felt off. Not that she knew of him of him in any major way, but the look on Elia’s face spoke of her both knowing him and being hurt by something he said or did. Well, she had known Elia made a few friends since she last spoke to her at any length.

Couple of things with this post for clarification:

1.) I'm assuming that Aqua watched Curvis leave and not Soren?  She might've seen Soren and Yev, but I wasn't sure if this made as much sense as the former.

2.) Who is this female character with Elia?  Is this a character that you're adding in, or are you referring to Jari?  Jari is actually a male kitsune, so I just wanted to double-check on this.
