A new raid boss event is available in KHUX during this week. During the event period (7/4-7/10), during the hours of 1-2pm PDT (20-21 UTC), 5-6pm PDT (0-1 UTC), and 8-9pm PDT(3-4 UTC), appearances of raid bosses will be doubled and Lux received from raid bosses will be doubled. The AP cost for the raid battles are reduced to 1 AP per battle. There is also a brand new raid boss available during this event period, and it can only be found after completing the Fortress Crab Ω Raid Boss Event quest.

 

The rewards for completing the Fortress Crab Ω raid boss include the Fire Samurai avatar costume and Chip & Dale medals. The event boards containing them will also remain for 3 hours after the raid boss event ends.

This raid boss is no joke it has over 2 million HP at just Level 1...if this raid boss didn't stay for over 2 hours and didn't cost 1 AP to fight no one would win against this thing

Not even with more then like 20people? I managed on my own to take it down 1hp bar.

Six people can take it down in about 15 minutes. Beating one boss lets you clear about 80% of one avatar board, so it's not that bad. I get about 60k lux per boss, assuming I take out his weakspots only twice, so the lux payout during double hour will be insane.

Took it out on my own with 15 minutes to spare, probably not gonna be an option for the level 2 version

If it weren't for 1 ap and being in a good party, I'd get bored to death with it and not bother.

We beated it now a few times and we are just with 3 or two.

Yeah, my party usually splits into teams of 3 or 4 now to cover multiple bosses. It just takes a lot longer for every person you lack, of course.

Who's bright idea was this to come up with this boss? I had to grind through the LV1 for literally an hour (granted I was solo for 99.8% of it). That makes things a lot more tedious and less fun. And you have two hours to do it, so unless you're solo and don't have a high enough damage output, it's not too big of a challenge. If you are solo and don't have a high enough damage output, though, you're kinda screwed, which is super stupid if you had spend two hours grinding on it for it to just escape.

(For the record I'm F2P so I'm not super OP or anything with all 6*s max guilted or whatever top people have.)

Uh, how many coins are you getting for beating it? I got 400 from it, and to complete one of the boards you need almost 2k coins. I'd only be able to do most of the sub-100 nodes for one board, which is only around 50% or so. And then the end nodes are like 150/200/300, which would take a couple runs to get through, unless higher level crabs net higher amounts of coins. And then you don't even get all the costume pieces, but having the helmet be a party rank reward with a lenient range is a lot better than, say, Second Chance.

 

I admit that all the Lux and only having to use 1 AP per run is nice, but the double Lux times are a bit too reminiscent of Lux Up Times in KHX, which I personally didn't like back then. Plus it doesn't help at all with the event board that this thing is supposed to be for.

But holy dang, at just Level 1, this thing has that huge amount of HP!?  Then that means the Lux payout is insane!!!  Wow, that's gonna be an insane fight for me, but I'm ready!  I'll take it down so I can get myself that awesome looking Samurai armor!
