Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 21, 2018 - Arthur & Helios - /w Aura & Alastor - Training - Outskirts of Mystras - Arthur landed on the ground, his sword stabbing the ground beneath. Arthur pulled his sword back, but before he could move any further, he felt Alastor's sword by his head. Helios chuckled as he watched. Alastor had gotten the best of Arthur, it seemed. He needed to find a way out, or risk his head getting chopped off if it was a real fight. "You're in deep, little knight!" Helios called from his place in the tree. Arthur kept still, hitching his breath as he analyzed his options. His trump card could might as well be his electricity, but would it even work against Alastor? Well...there was this one trick back in the academy...though he was heavily scolded because it was 'unethical'-NO! This was a super serious training session! He couldn't possibly resort to such childish techniques!...could he? "(Well...the training's meant to test my skills. Coming up with stuff is part of it...isn't it?)" Arthur thought, gulping to himself. He couldn't snap Alastor away with lightning, he's shown as much. So...what else could harm a man? "I'm so sorry, sir Alastor." Arthur said, frowning to himself. Before any of them could question the statement, Arthur made his move. Suddenly and unexpectedly, he threw his sword into the air. Just as he quick he followed that by pushing himself back, before lifting his leg backwards and landing a single kick...right in between Alastor's legs. If it actually hurt and did any damage to him, or even just surprised him at most, Arthur used the singular moment of distraction to pull back and just as quickly land an equally powerful kick right against Alastor's chest. He pulled himself back, quickly pushing himself onto his feet just in time to catch his sword by the hilt and turn to slam it against Alastor's sword, pressing blade against blade as he faced Alastor. He panted, giving a shaky smile as the confidence of the moment swayed momentarily now that he was looking at Alastor in the eye after that. "...um...does that count?" Arthur asked, trying to ignore Helios' laughter in the background. --- I did a little drawing to demonstrate. 1 Scrapmaster reacted to this
Elrandir 783 Posted March 21, 2018 - Aura - Outskirts of Mystras - The young woman had been watching the fight betweem Alastor and Arthur. The difference was quite obvious, but she had to admit that Arthur had good moves. Each time their weapons clashed Aura could feel their heart beats, their muscles getting ready for the next move. How? She didn't really knew how, but she could tell, it was like everything was moving slower that usual, it was strange. "This has been interesting to watch, Aura said without taking her eyes away from the action, "I wonder how well the other knight will do against Sir Alastor." It took a few moments more, but Arthur's next move took Aura by surprise. The look remained in her face for a few seconds. Well, everything was fair in a battle of life and death, but still. Aura looked at Helios who was laughing at the situation. "While I do not think such tactic is acceptable, I suppose that in a real battle it doesn't really matter," she said before once again looking at the two warriors, "you must use everything at your disposal to win in such battle. And I agree that that tactic was, well, quite surprising to say the least."
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted March 21, 2018 - Soren, the Penitent Traitor - Kilkis Campsite, w/ Yevgeni - It had been a long time since Soren had felt true dread in his heart, even when he attempted to safeguard Shiva's life, he didn't feel as uneasy as he did around Maxis, who had mercifully decided to leave him and Yevgeni alone and departed. Soren took no shame in sighing with relief openly, rubbing the back of his neck before straightening up and watching the armour leave. "Darkness is all around Maxis, my liege...it masks the insanity clouding his eyes. Not that Shiva's Faithful was always of sound mind and yet...he could still be reasoned with, admired even, but now...?" Soren squinted his eyes, explaining how Maxis's mere presence told Soren much, before widening them and looking back to Yevgeni. "Something is wrong with him. I suggest we keep our distance from Maxis, for the time being at least...I hope someone, or something, can help him. The last thing this world needs is Shiva's most loyal, and powerful servant, losing his mind and rampaging across the land." Soren said calmly, though inside he was still worried and even afraid of Maxis. It seems that Shiva's death had pushed the Master of Illusions over the edge. Clearing his throat, Soren offered a comforting smile to Yevgeni before extending his arm in a general direction. "Anyway, he has departed for now...I only wish him the best, but as for us, I recall an offer of dinner?" Soren reminded Yevgeni, hoping that they could continue their discussion. - Meksis, the United, Armour of Twilight - Approaching Kilkis Campsite - As both forms of Meksis and their respective powers settled down within and around Meksis, he had almost returned to the main Kilkis Campsite, before he felt something had changed. A familiar presence had returned to Kilkis Seres, so to speak, one he was sure he had met before, so he kept moving, re-entering the Site from its back entrance and moving through, excusing anyone he went past. "Who is it you're so interested in, do you know?" "I have a hunch...on who it might be, but we must be certain." "We? Hmm, that's a first~" Meksis didn't acknowledge his other's comment as he neared the Campsite's entrance, he was startled by the ringing of a low-frequency horn, as were many others in the Camp around him. "That...that horn? One of Shiva's Captains told me that I should heed the sound of a Messenger's Horn." Meksis said to himself, with the Defiled chuckling before musing in his mind. "Well, it's a good thing that said horn is where we are headed, right?" Meksis only nodded before continuing in the direction he was headed, to the front entrance of the camp, where he could see figures outside the camp, appearing to be talking amongst each other, with one figure seemingly holding two creatures upon his shoulders. Strangely, Meksis felt butterflies in his stomach as he approached, hoping to the spirits that he was the right person. Once Meksis was close enough, he was almost sure of who he was, but also that they had noticed him. "Ho there! I heard the horn, who..." Meksis almost froze before resuming, swallowing something in his throat. "My word, is that you, Prince Jynn? I believe we've met before...I am Meksis. Do you remember me? I believe we may have met in a courtyard, with my other armour Maxis and the fabled Dreadnought from the World Below? Correct me if I am mistaken, my lord." Meksis calmed himself as much as he could, even offering a handshake to Jynn. (If I'm wrong, please correct me Thundaga.) - Nergal, the Queenslayer - In the shadows, outside of the Kilkis Camp - So much had happened these past couple of days, Nergal found it all so exciting to think about. The War Between Worlds, meeting Yevgeni for the first time, testing the Dreadnought...killing a Queen, it was truly glorious in his mind. Though he found himself reflecting, as he tended to do, having being used to the feeling for at least five thousand years, give or take. Yet this time, his reflections weren't nihilistic, hollow or miserable...instead, he reflected on what more he could do. "The Source of All Life...if Yevgeni knows of it, then the legends of it must be true...what can it do for me, I wonder? And..." Nergal smirked as he pondered while wringing the life out of an unfortunate fellow in a black coat he had captured while the bustle was going on about the sounded horn, having dragged this man into the shadows before strangling him to death in his arm. "Just how much more chaos can I sow into this world and it's people...?" Despite his pain and anguish being music to his ears, Nergal did away with the theatrics and broke the fey's neck, before dragging him further away, out of sight and mind. Nergal had made a mistake with Shiva's Assassination, dressing as he usually would and forgoing any sort of mask. "I got carried away with Shiva...the excitement and anticipation for the kill was too much...the brutalization too. Not very efficient, or like a proper Assassin...lucky for me that this man won't be needing his darker clothing anymore." Nergal spoke in his mind, relieving the fey, who was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time, of his entire attire, taking his long, hooded cloak, boots and slacks and dumping the body in a ditch. Having swiftly redressed, putting his usual clothing, and mask, away in a pocket dimension where his weapon often went, Nergal had disguised himself, opting to create a new mask as well and putting it on under the hood, a simple, yet cursed looking metal mask, covering only the bottom half of his face and nose...sticking to the shadows as he saw a gathering outside of the Kilkis Seres Campsite. Vaude 536 Posted March 22, 2018 - Rufus Contralto, above the Mystran encampment - The strange djinni looked at his elven mistress with great surprise following his swift turnaround, his mouth hanging just a little and his eyes wandering over her face. Finding her serious, he turned his frizzy head away. "I don't recall your mentioning any of this before, but . . . I admit having a wish granted for myself would be an immense boon for me. To remember would be enough -- to remember the tastes and textures of foodstuffs, to remember my past confederates in times long gone, to remember that girl. Aye, 'twould be grand, but surely a wish better suiting yourself lies on the horizon! You may be missing something yet not know it. Information privy only to the Fates until its revelation can be known prematurely. Lives can be restored! Are you so willing to refrain from wishing for yourself that you would gift it to someone who does not feel need but merely want?" Rufus ceased speaking, glancing back towards Rabiyu. The selflessness of the girl was frightfully strong to think about his wellbeing above her own, though he could not help but think highly of her for doing so. The world needed more of this trait. Heck, he needed more of this trait. - Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment within his tent with Maxis - The Mystran ruler looked between the three Maxises with a mix of apparent discomfort and relief. It seems that the crazed suits of armour agreed that he did not smell like the killer of the queen, for whatever reason. Instead, they just wanted to jibe him. Quelling an angry snarl at being poked at and having his collection perused, he answered the original's question. "Poorly, to say the least," he admitted with a sigh, attempting to mostly ignore the posturing of oppression from the three suits of armour. "The sensation of loss compounds itself within one over the years of knowing someone, and I knew her more than most present." He paused to obtain a solid visual scan of Maxis before continuing. "You seem to be wearing a new look, one I doubt is merely for show. Is it due to Shiva or something before her? This energy of yours . . . it's borderline untamed, yet controlled just enough." Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted March 23, 2018 (edited) - Alastor - The Storm - Training Arthur - Mystrian Outskirts - As much as Arthur's move was dirty, Alastor had to admit, the boy could come up with good choices in the heat of the moment, the kick to his legs didn't do much other than make him flinch, and the kick to his chest was blocked with his free arm, as Arthur managed to grab his sword and slam it against his. As the boy spoke, asking if it counted Alastor did not change expressions, still serious and with a cold stare. "Yes, yes it did. When you are outmatched, any dirty trick is valid in order to keep yourself alive." Alastor commented, as he started to finally put strenght onto his arm, pushing Arthur's sword back and moving the blade towards his hilt, as he slammed it to the side, possibly knocking Arthur's sword off to the side and bringing Arthur alongside it, at the same time Alastor rolled over Arthur's back, ending up behind him. And swinging his sword at Arthur's exposed head, again, stopping mid way, to show Arthur that leaving one self vulnerable like that could mean his death, Alastor didn't wait for him to attack back, as he pulled back the sword and swing a powerful punch to his gut, Arthur would find this punch familiar, the same one he was hit with back at Alastor's tent. It would hurt a bit, but not as much as last time. Alastor took a step back to get some distance between the two. watching, paying more attention to Aura. "You seem somewhat interested in this, unlike friend there." Alastor spoke to her. "Want to join? The training is more effective the more people there are in it." Alastor explained. "I'l provide you a sword if you don't have one." He added. - Maxis - The mad - Raiden's tent - Maxis, if he had a face, would crack the biggest shit eating grin imaginable the moment Raiden snarled angrily at his clones. as one kept poking his arm and the other went to make a mess of his collection of books and anything else it could find. Raiden would then go on about to talk about Shiva and his loss of her. Which Maxis listened intently. Soon came the golden question...He looked different? To which Maxis shrugged, "Before, I tried changing armor to not have Shiva look at my old ass, rusty appearance from milenias back, too bad she's dead now and all this was for nothing." A loud snap in the air could be heard as he spoke, especially the dead part. As he stagged forward to Raiden like a zombie, said energy he mentioned leaking a bit from the eyeplate. "This energy...my essence, basicaly" Maxis spoke, as it continued to leak from his eyeplate, his clones turned to Raiden, all were leaking as well. "You see Raiden or rather...Vaude, it is the essence of chaos, the essence of madness itself, uncontrollable, but I am willing it into submission. Until I find the bastard who killed my Queen." Maxis's voice continues to sound more and more demonic as he start shambling towards Raiden, him and his clones all stop almost one arm away from him. "And this willpower of his is the only thing keeping me from killing every man, woman and child in this pathetic world you call Overworld. And sending it plummeting down to the world below..." The voice now wasn't even his, it was pure demonic, and full of hatred. The surroundings of Raiden's tent were deteriorating, almost as if rotting and rusting away into nothingness. As Maxis's armor broke away as well, only leaving a demonic silhouete, with a big grin on its face as it clawed at Raiden. Raiden would then notice it was all an illusion, Maxis simply had two of his fingers touching Raiden's chest, showing him hands on what was going on with him. His clones were still being random and checking things out. As Maxis stepped back. "That is what is happening to me..." Maxis spoke. As he looked down. Before looking up at Raiden and pointing his index finger at him. "Got you! There's nothing like that going on on me..." Maxis spoke, gleefuly, and shrugged. - Typhon - The bugman - With Jynn and company - Typhon noticed Jynn recruiting yet another friend, the cat from before, whom he had previously launched against a wall. Typhon looked at him and contemplated eating it, but quickly shoock that thought, mostly because eating a cat wouldn't do much for him "We're gathering quite the crowd." Typhon commented dryly. - Henry - The Dreadnought - Flying alongside SIfrei and Mariel - "I've flown before in a griffin, so at least I won't get sick." Henry jocked as he was surprised at how fast the bird type creature took flight, Helios wasn't this fast... Henry looked and frowned as Sifrei spoke as he flew beside them. "Right." Henry spoke plainly. As he just enjoyed the ride. Edited March 23, 2018 by Scrapmaster 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Elrandir 783 Posted March 23, 2018 - Rabiyu - Mystran encampment -"Like I said before Rufus, I do not have a need for a wish. When I found your lamp all those weeks ago and got it from that greedy individual, I did it in order to help you. A wish was just something that came with that," Rabiyu said, "A wish is meaningless to me because I like to work towards my own goals. I do not want to have something without having to work for it."Rabiyu looked at the djinni with a calm look on her face, like she didn't had a care in the world at that moment. There was also a strange feeling in the back of her mind at the moment, but she didn't give it enough attention, for now."I told you before. Like you, I also do not have years worth of memories, the difference is that I do not want to recover those, I think," she said, " The Fates will deliver unto us whatever they may have in store for us in time. Just like the Pale Mistress will take our Immortal souls beyond the Divine Gate when our time finally comes."The Elf's face didn't showed much emotions, but there was a very faint hint that maybe, just maybe, she wasn't telling the whole truth. All those years worth of memories were something that made her curious, about how she was like all those years ago, but there was also a feeling that she was going to regret learning about those deeds."So my offer to you is that Rufus," Rabiyu said to the Djinni, "Do you want to have your memories restored? I would gladly use my wish to help you with that."- Aura - Outskirts of Mystras -Aura was slightly surprised by Alastor's offer. Sure it would be good to get more experience in fighting fey, so that a situation like last day didn't happen again."That won't be necessary, Sir Alastor. I have my weapon right here," Aura said while patting her sword's hilt while putting her buquet on the ground, " I think it would be nice to gain more experience fighting against your kind."The young woman walked near the two knights and took out her sword. She could feel her heart beating faster, her for some reason she was excited to be able to fight again. She could hear the sounds around her clearly, the scents of the trees too."I am ready. This should be a good learning opportunity."Without any other word Aura ran towards Alastor. Unbeknownst to her, she left a cloud of dust behind her, her speed had raised drastically for no reason, even if she didn't noticed the change. Before getting closer to Alastor she threw two daggers, that she had on her belt, towards the fey's legs, then jumped into the air and performed a slash downwards to try and hit Alastor's shoulder. Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 23, 2018 - Arthur & Helios - /w Aura & Alastor - Training - Outskirts of Mystras - Helios' laughter dissolved into chuckles and giggles as he held onto the branch for support. He agreed with Aura. As dirty as the trick was, in a life and death situation, anything counted to stay alive, regardless how dirty it could be. Arthur groaned as he fell onto one knee, holding his stomach as he was punched by Alastor in the exact same spot again. This time, however, he was nice enough to actually pull back some. "Come on, was that necessary?" Arthur muttered under his breath. Though in his mind, he justified that yes, yes it was necessary. He had been punched and pushed around in the academy before, and by his father, this time shouldn't be any different. Consider it an upgrade, Arthur! Helios smiled as he watched Aura take the offer head on, quickly sitting up as he watched her. "Alright, Aura! Kick his butt!" Helios cheered, throwing his arms into the air. He was imminently impressed by her speed, his eyes widening in awe as she left a cloud of dust at her wake. Amazing! Arthur saw Aura run right after Alastor, and took it as a sign that he should go ahead and continue too. He ran up, picking up his sword as he did as he followed behind Aura. As Aura attacked Alastor from the front, Arthur slid behind Alastor's back and swung his sword. However, instead of aiming at his back, he took a chance to aim at a more dangerous spot; Alastor's neck.
Endless Thundaga 533 Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) Jynn Venas & Bherna-Kilkes Seres Jynn was soon greeted by a living armor, not Maxis, but the one who occupied the former that one day a few weeks back, Meksis. He offers Jynn a handshake, which the newly fledged king obliges. "Ah yes. I remember you a little. You didn't speak too much that day. It's good to see that you're well." At first, Jynn was cautious of him, since his mother's killer is still on the loose and he could be anyone, but since Meksis has ties to Maxis, Shiva's personal living armor, Jynn deems it unlikely that he would commit such a devilish crime. So he dismisses Meksis as suspicious. Jynn looks around. Where would Yevgeni be? It would be risky for Jynn's presence to go unnoticed to the regeant, as he is unpredictable and self absorbed. Jynn faces back to Meksis. "I'm sorry to be so hasty, but would you happen to know where Yevgeni is? And if so, may I ask you to lead me to him?" Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) - Alastor - The Storm - Training in the outskirts of Mystras - Alastor, in a moment of trying to show off or just trying to even the odds, stabbed his sword onto the ground near him as Aura announced she wished to train as well. "Come then." He bellowed to her as he closed his eyes and focused. Maintaining them closed as she ran at him at literaly incredible speeds, inhuman speeds even, as he simply entered a stance with both his arms forwards. As he sensed Arthur coming in from behind. Alastor nimbly sidestepped Aura's daggers as Arthur and her attacked at basicaly the same time, however, their mistake was attacking his upper region, not both the upper and lower simultaneously. While Aura jumped into the air and Arthur went for his neck, Alastor opened his eyes at the last moment and nimbly moved his body diagonaly, moving his head and upper body like water as he slid around them with a spin with unmatched finesse, ending up behind Arthur. And simply pushing him, as to make him fall on Aura, this all occured very quickly. A technique not commonly by him, dubbed 'Demonic shadow' by the man he learned it from. Regardless, Alastor casualy walked towards his sword and pulled it out. "Evasion comes in two forms, you can be fast with good reflexes, or tune into the flow of the fight. Best part about it is that it doesn't need magic to accomplish." Alastor stated as he looked over his two trainees. "One more move on me, and we can progress to the next stage of the training." Alastor finished as he awaited for their move. "Cooperate with one another, you'l increase your fighting prowess two fold for each of you." - Typhon - The Bug - Alongside Jynn - Kilkis Seres - Typhon simply accompanied Jynn as Meksis approached him and shook the prince's hands. As the two spoke, Typhon took note of their surroundings, Kilkis Seres...A place he didn't have the fondest memories of...or any at all in fact. Typhon, by a stroke of curiosity, leaned to the side from behind Jynn, to look at Meksis. An armor, made of metal, not tasty, but edible regardless. Seemed to have good intentions? None that Typhon could see yet. "Greetings." Typhon spoke. Edited March 24, 2018 by Scrapmaster 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 25, 2018 - Arthur & Helios - /w Aura & Alastor - Training - Outskirts of Mystras - Arthur's eyes widened at Alastor's moves. Before he could even counter it, Alastor was already behind him, pushing him forward. Arthur fell forward, falling right into Aura as the two tumbled on the floor. Arthur groaned, blinking a few times before seeing that he had fallen on Aura. "AH!" Arthur screamed, quickly rolling off her as he sat up. "Sorry, Aura!" Arthur said, quickly apologizing as he glanced up at Alastor, then back at Aura. They had one more chance before moving on. Arthur hummed in thought, turning to Aura and quickly hurrying back to her. He leaned in, whispering to Aura. "How about we try to trick him? You're pretty fast. We can rush at Alastor and switch positions at the last second before landing hits?" Arthur asked. Helios watched, whistling at Alastor. "Now you're just showing off, sir Alastor. No need to do, though! Everyone here's already impressed!" Helios said, waving his hand as he rested his head back down. Now this is the type of thing Helios could get used to. Laying back, basking in the sun...he really wouldn't want it any other way. "You two can do it! I believe in you!" Helios said, yawning as he stretched on his branch. For moments like this he could forget that there was ever even a war. He gently felt the necklace around his neck. I wonder if it's beautiful where you are, too.
Elrandir 783 Posted March 25, 2018 - Aura - Outskirts of Mystras -Aura could see Alastor's movement, she wanted to move accordingly, but for some reason her body didn't listened to her commands. While her speed had increased, she still didn't realized that, and it made her difficult to control her own movements, she attributed that to her still being a little tired from battle. Her attack was going to land on Arthur but she managed to stop after she landed and took a couple of steps backwards, until Alastor pushed Arthur and both tumbled on the floor. She stared at Arthur while she was on top of her, well, not at him exactly, she was more lost in thought. What had happened? She moved quicker, she could feel it, she managed to notice Alastor's move, but was unable to counter it."Uh? Oh, don't worry about it," Aura replied as she stood up and dusted herself, "I agree, but we need to attack him in different regions rather than focus on his upper region. Why don't we try and run around him from opposite directions? divide his attention. It would be useless for the both of us to attack him upfront only for him to dodge just like he did before. Vaude 536 Posted March 25, 2018 - Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment in his tent with Maxis - Raiden backed up a step defensively at the menacing change in Maxis' appearance, but he recognised early that there was an illusive trick involved due to the search magic. Keeping himself steady, with his sword's hilt open and ready for grasping, he readied for seemingly anything, paying attention to both the illusion and reality as they interwove in his vision. However, which was the illusion, and which was reality? It was heavily difficult to differentiate with his unfamiliarity with the trickiness of such magicks. More difficult yet was finding out what was truth and what was falsehood from what was stated. It seemed that two differing personalities inhabited the same man from the manner of speech and his voice, and even after the false image was broken he felt shaken by this crazed suit of armour's "other side," if it even existed. Perspiration beaded and driveled down his face at the thought. "That was something," he murmured, gripping his head to steady himself. Sad to say, he always found himself susceptible to the illusory, though he grew accustomed to the tricks of illusion through occasional mind duels with Nihil. Counters were learned, and preparations formulated for such a case against any master of the unseen or misleading. Maxis stood before him, giddy as ever and full of vigor. Raiden questioned internally, probably from being on edge, if Maxis' response was real or fake. Also, there was the unfamiliar name of Vaude to which Maxis pointed out, though he hesitated to question exactly what was going on with that. "Nothing like that is going on with you?" voiced Raiden in half-baked suspicion. "I feel as if wrongness hangs about you like a corpse shroud, though you would know yourself more so than I could. If you need an ear to listen, I'm here. If not, let's get down to business with Shiva's killer, as we both hope to avenge her." Raiden's visage looked pained as he took on a more serious approach to things, eyes glittering dangerously. He seemed earnest to pursue the subject. - Rufus Contralto, above the Mystran encampment - The crazed djinni looked at her with a grave curiosity when Rabiyu spoke about her own memories, but he did not continue that subject for fear of worrying her. She seemed resolute as it was, and if he brought to the table something regarding herself she seemed like she would either break into tears or rebound him as if he fell onto a tight drum. Perhaps neither option was exactly so, but he moved on. "This is . . . certainly a rarity," he uttered in dumbfoundedness, hovering back and forth with a pacing motion at crazy speeds. Some time in, he stopped. "I shall tell you what, good mistress, how about this? In a fortnight -- which is two weeks -- you keep your wish for emergency reasons, or until this war is ended. If you have no need for the wish by that time, 'twould make me pleased to accept your wishing for my memories! If you do have need, utilise it! I'd be elephantine-ly proud to have a real master or mistress use my powers for a good cause rather than a selfish one!" He smiled at her with sincerity, his bushy hair swaying in as the breeze shifted to the other direction.
Elrandir 783 Posted March 25, 2018 - Rabiyu - Mystran encampment -The Elf watched the Djinni with curiosity, he was a strange one, but who in the Overworld wasn't? Rufus's words brought her back to reality."Then it will be as you said Rufus. Two weeks from now, if there is nothing I desire, you will have your wish granted," Rabiyu said with a gentle smile, "If by that time the war is over you will have your memories back."She could feel a cold shiver running up her spine a few seconds later, something strange was happening around the camp. What that feeling was, she was not sure. At this point Raiden would have finished the letter to the Prince, she wondered if anything else could be done while waiting for an aswer from Kilkis Seres."Well, it has been a nice conversation Rufus, but now I must return to Lord Raiden's side," she said to Rufus, "We must be ready for any possible attempt from Kilkis Seres until we have word from the Prince. Have a good morning."Rabiyu gave Rufus a courteous nod before slowly descending into the ground and made her way towards the tent Raiden was using at the moment. The more she got closer to the tent, the more stronger the feeling became, and once close enough she could hear movement around the tent along with two voices, once she recognized as Raiden, the other one was new. She manage to listen to what Raiden said before everything went quiet, apparently he was talking with someone regarding Shiva's killer. She didn't liked that Raiden was apparently alone, and the tone of his voice sounded more serious, it didn't took much to decide to enter the tent. What she saw was interesting. There was Raiden, that much was obvious, but the others inside were intruders, three individuals, all looking the same."I hope you don't mind if I join you, Your Lordship," Rabiyu said while her eyes scanned the three mysterious armors, "If only to assure your safety."Two of the three individuals were looking through the things around the tent, the other one was in front of Raiden, Rabiyu's eyes were focused on that one. The cold feeling she had was quickly replaced by another one, another familiar feeling, just like the day before in battle, or at night while meditating, like something was trying to come out from the deeps of her mind, she was trying to push that feeling back, this was not the moment to unleash whatever was buried inside her own head. She remained still and silent near the entrance of the tent, waiting to see what would happen.- Sifrei - Flying towards Lake Kresnik -Sifrei was surprised to hear that Henry had flown in a griffin before. Perhaps after he had arrived at the Overworld."That is good to hear, Master Henry, " Sifrei said, "While a lot of other fey possess the ability to fly, it is quite a different experience to fly in a griffin."The Archangel was paying attention to both the ground and the path in front of them. He could spot figures moving through the roads in the ground. Sure, feys could fly, but why waste a good opportunity to see the scenary? They had rather long lives so they usually took their time to enjoy the small things around the world, a lot of them, at least."It shouldn't be long before we reach Lake Kresnik," Sifrei said while looking at Henry, "I think we can be there in around half and hour, or an hour at the most." Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 25, 2018 - Arthur & Helios - /w Aura & Alastor - Training - Outskirts of Mystras - Arthur listened to Aura, nodding. "Understood." Arthur said as he glanced at Alastor, then back at Aura. "I'll slide from the back and and aim at his legs, and you aim at his top from the front?" Arthur asked, holding his sword tightly as he thought for a moment. "No, wait. Your speed is an advantage. You should sneak up from the back and try to get his legs while I distract him and try to aim for his chest again." Arthur suggested, smiling as he stood up, using his sword to help himself stand. He gave Aura thumbs up. "I'll distract him, and you surprise him from the back. Hopefully we could at least last a hit on him, even just one. That would be nice, actually." Arthur muttered, wiping some sweat off his brow as he glanced up at Alastor. He was beyond what Arthur had expected, but he was an excellent teacher no less, and ARunrthur was more than eager to learn. "Follow my lead, then. Going in." Arthur said, quickly spinning his sword before dashing straight at Alastor. He decided to go all out, this time rushing at Alastor before jumping right at Alastor, holding his sword as he raised it above his head and brought it down on Alastor. If he gave Alastor too much to worry about on him, he shouldn't have enough time to avoid Aura's surprise attack from the back...at least, that's what he hoped. Elrandir 783 Posted March 25, 2018 (edited) - Aura - Outskirts of Mystras -Aura was looking at Alastor while listening to Arthur. Sure she would attack from the front, but what did Arthur meant by her speed? Sure, she was quick but was that enough? Aura nodded in agreement with Arthur's plan after he said that it would be better that he attacked from the front. "Alright, I can try to do that," she said calmly, "I will attack his legs while you try to hit his chest region." After Arthur gave the signal to begin she quickly prepared her sword and just like before she left a cloud of dust behind her while running until she was behind Alastor. Now that she paid enough attention Aura couldn't understand how she could run faster than before. It was a strange sensation being able to do that. In mere seconds she was already behind Alastor, running towards him, unsure if the knight saw her movements, but before she was close enough she slide and used the momentum to swing her sword upwards towards Alastor's legs, with a small amount of luck, either Arthur or her would be able to land a hit on the knight of Mystras. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted March 29, 2018 Rhaedyn Thane - With Mikhail The man merely had followed. There was a time to talk, but this...this was a time to follow. Jeremy of Hunter - Accidentally fell asleep Waking up, he realize he passed out a bit. Yawning, he got up and winged his way to Kilkis Seres, staggering a bit before landing in the camp. He sauntered up to Jyn and company. "It's ok to wake me up." he yawned. "Preferably not with pain or cold water. A few pokes works." Eclaire Oathkeeper - Above the Castle The woman who took upon herself the name Oathkeeper, who wielded the silver sword she named after her fallen love, now circled amongst the clouds. She both knew she had to go down, but she was now a bit apprehensive. She...really should have asked Jyn before taking the sword...the spear.......aaaand now she just had to get it over with. Taking a breath, she tucked her wings in and entered a controlled dive, before flaring out and gliding over the camp. "Where is he..." She mused, looking around, tail wrapped around a leg since it was...weird. "...why a tail Mother. The ears I could survive, but a tail?." 1 lendaiteva reacted to this
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted March 31, 2018 - Alastor - The Storm Bringer - Training in the outskirts of Mystras - Alastor stood a fair distance away from the two as they plannet, as he didn't wish to hear their attack plan. Soon enough the two seemed more than ready to attack together. Arthur went first to catch Alastor's attention, but he knew of Aura's running behind him, her movements weren't refined enough to provide minimal noise or mask her presence, but the girl was quick, he'd give her that. Alastor was sandwiched from the front and back, Aura sliding towards his legs and Arthur from up top. Alastor could easily dodge out with magic or even lunge away from the two, but he had to take it for the training. Alastor ran towards Arthur as Aura was almost hitting him, before her sword hit his legs, Alastor threw his body to the side to avoid her, and as Arthur slammed his sword onto him, he blocked it with his own, but the force of the attack send Alastor to the ground as he was mid air during it. Alastor intentionaly let his back hit the ground for leverage and momentum as he quickly rolled backwards and with his free hand used to further boost himself away from them in his recovery. "Attacking together is always the better option. Unless you are in an honorable duel that is." Alastor spoke as he looked none the worse for wear, aside from his armor's back dirtied due to the slam. As he walked towards a tree and place his hand in it. "Now. We start phase 2" Alastor spoke, as a crack in the air could easily be heard, just for intensity as Alastor jumped and slammed his foot onto the tree as he proppeled himself at impressive speeds towards Arthur. The kick also left a large dent in the tree, that was Alastor's intentionaly messing with Helios. However, Alastor feigned that he was attacking, and as he feinted just before landing the attack, he had already placed his free hand on Arthur's shoulder, using the boy as leverage as Alastor flipped over him with momentum, rolling behind him and kicking a jump. As he landed on the ground, Alastor turned around and dashed back at Alastor, now going for a diagonal slash aimed a bit high above the Boy's Waist. "Now I can go on the offensive as well." Alastor commented. As a spark of electricity shot out of his body for a moment. - Henry - The Flying Dreadnaught - Flying towards Lake Kresnik - Henry stood mostly silent during the flight, mostly because he didn't have much to say that could be of interest. Instead he looked around, trying to enjoy as much of the scenery as he could in the blistering speed he was flying in. As they were almost arriving, Henry's eyes widened as he sensed one aura. One he didn't know in the distance. It was a damn strong aura for it to be felt from that distance. "There's someone at the lake already." Henry commented. "I can feel their aura from here." He finished. - Mikhail - The Old Witcher - Nearing Lake Kresnik - They were close, Mikhail could smell the stench of murder in the air, with a tint of arrogance and...cupcakes? That was a weird smell to feel at the current moment. Regarless, As he motioned for Rhaedyn to follow him as they were just finishing hte clearing to the lake. "And we're here." Mikhail spoke, as they arrived at the lake and the scene of the murder. "The smell is still fresh, and the ground is still marked. This'l be easy to read." Mikhail commented with a dry smile, as he turned his head towards the distance. "Hear that? Griffin." Mikhail spoke. Using his enhanced hearing he could hear a beast's sounds from over 600m away easily, especially a flying griffin. - Maxis - The Mad Armor - Raiden's tent - "Don't compare a corpse to an empty suit of armor with the soul of an unlucky man bound to it, Raiden. Two Very different things." Maxis spoke to Raiden, as he raised a finger in objection to the man's words. Still though, it was kind of him to offer an ear, too bad the man wouldn't want to hear what he had to say if he had to vent. Maxis eyed Raiden as the man spoke afterwards, and visibly changed posture to a more interested and less bored one as the man spoke of Shiva's killer. "Why yes...yes we d-" Maxis's words were interrupted by the sudden entrance of an elf. Prompting the original armor, and the two clones to turn around to stare at her. A moment of silence followed, as one of the clones simply said "Hi!" in a very excited tone, even waving his hand towards her as Another Clone formed out of her shadow. And the first thing it did now that it was behind her and within her blindspot? fiddle with her long elf ears like a curious child. "Holy shit! Its an elf!" The armor spoke gleefuly, like a child that discovered something new. "I haven't seen a true elf in aaaaaaages, can I keep her?!" The Armor spoke, flat out hugging Rabyiu from behind as it looked to the original, who had its arms folded and emitted a disappointed sigh. "No. No you can't keep the elf." It spoke, as the armor who was still hugging Rabyiu spoke out in despair "b-but!" It retorted to a flat "no!" from the original. As it let go of Rabyiu and looked legitimately upset, pouting like a six year old whose parents didn't let it have the delicious candy from the candy store. "Sometimes I hate myself and my personalities..." Maxis spoke. "I embarrass myself without even trying." it spoke, sighing.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 31, 2018 - Arthur & Helios - /w Aura & Alastor - Training - Outskirts of Mystras - Helios whined loudly as Alastor kicked the tree, holding onto the branch as he almost fell from it. He glanced down, seeing the large dent in it. At the very least, it wasn't big enough for the tree to fall over, but what a mean move! "You did that on purpose!" Helios yelled after Alastor, only to allow himself to rest back against the branch once he was sure he wasn't going to fall off. Arthur's eyes widened at the sound of the crack, ever so familiar. Phase 2. Well, crap. He could barely register as Alastor dashed towards him, his speed catching him off guard for mere moments. Arthur prepared to block an attack, only to feel as Alastor instead used him to propel himself above him and try to attack from behind. "(Damn it!)" Arthur thought, quickly glancing behind. he could already see sparks flying off Alastor's body, beginning to get serious...as if he wasn't doing serious before. His instincts immediately went for his shield, which was current strapped behind his back. But he quickly changed his strategy. The shield wouldn't guarantee that it would block where Alastor would hit. Lightning would do nothing against him, as far as he had seen. He couldn't possibly jump high enough to avoid it. Instead, he followed the rules of physics and general understanding. What usually stopped the movement of an object? Another one. So... "(Trip him.)" Arthur thought. He quickly allowed himself to drop on the floor just as Alastor neared to hit him, going under the sword while crouching as low as he could before swinging his sword straight across Alastor's upcoming legs. Elrandir 783 Posted April 1, 2018 - Aura - Outskirts of Mystras -Aura was surprised when Alastor dodge her attack. Now she could see that her movements were quicker, but she didn't had much control over them, she made noise loud enough for Alastor to notice."I don't understand. I was not able to do that before, but now?" she thought to herself, " Something feels different."The young woman saw how Alastor used Arthur to propel himself above him, only for him to dash back towards him and attack. Aura quickly ran towards Arthur and was about to say something, but the young man made an interesting movement, he crouched as low as he could, dodging Alastor's attack and making an attack of his own towards Alastor's legs. She quickly moved behind Arthur, and into Alastor's path, and used her own sword to try to stop Alastor's while Arthur attacked his legs.- Sifrei - Near Lake Kresnik -Sifrei had been keeping his guard up while being in the sky, any attack towards them could prove a problem, with Mariel unable to properly fly or Henry's inability to do so. The comment coming from the Dreadnaught made him focus his sight on Lake Kresnik. Henry had said that a strong aura was in the vicinity, which made him think about it for a moment."It seems that we are not the only ones who thought about investigating the place where the Frostbearer was murdered," Sifrei said calmly, "It would be unwise to land near the lake without any knowledge about this mysterious aura. If this aura is as strong as you say then we should land now."The Archangel looked at the ground then at the griffin before pointing down, he then began to descend. It took a few minutes, but once they landed Sifrei kept his attention on the way towards the lake. Now that they were closer he could feel this aura Henry spoke of, and it was indeed strong. He could also feel the presence of another individual, a familiar presence, one that didn't belonged here."It would take us less than five minutes to walk over there. I can also feel the presence of another fey in the vecinity, Master Henry," Sifrei said, "Remember Lord Raiden's word, we should not put ourselves in danger's way, if there is an opportunity to recover the feyslayer then we could take it, but without engaging with this individuals. We will only attack if we are attacked, and only then. At this point I am almost sure the ones near the lake are from Kilkis Seres. Come on, we should move."- Rabiyu - Raiden's tent -The sensation Rabiyu had while watching these individuals was something strange, two of the were completely silent and still, the third one? now that one was unusual. Without taking her eyes away from the mysterious knights she could feel the presence of a fourth one popping out of nowhere behind her. Before she could do anything, she could feel the cold touch of metal on both of her ears and before she could react, she found herself grappled from behind. She could have reacted to this action as a treath, but before she could even focus on an attack another one of the armored knights told the one holding her to let go."I would suggest you do not do that again. It could have ended in an attack towards any of you," she said flatly and without a hint of hesitation, "Now, as I said before. I hope you don't mind if I join you." Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted April 2, 2018 - Alastor - The Storm - Training near Mystras - Arthur was visibly surprised from Alastor's speed, and Helios was flustered by Alastor's actions, much to the latter's pleasure, as Alastor analyzed Arthur's moves, the boy ducked below his sword quick enough to prompt a reaction from Alastor in surprise, not only that, the boy went all out as well, slashing onto his legs in an attempt to trip him. Or cut off his legs, both were possibilities. Using what little time he had, With his feet on the ground, before Arthur's sword collided with his legs. Alastor threw himself to the side again, much like last time avoiding both of them as a means of getting his legs away from the sword as he used his free hand to flip himself to a standing position. "Nice" Alastor complimented Arthur for the boy's quick thinking and decision making. Glancing at his legs he noticed a scratch on his leg armor, seemed like the boy did hit him somewhat. The move, in turn also avoided Aura's followup as a result of the distance gained. Without wasting time Alastor dashed at Arthur again, using his enhanced speed, and slamming his sword against his, putting as much strenght as possible in staggering Arthur through the boy's guard, four sword sword slashes in different directions, fast and deadly as expected, with the fourth being a forced clash between them. Alastor stared Arthur dead in the eye as his eyes sparked with electricity for a second before Alastor pushed both sword upwards, effectively staggering them both, but Alastor went along with the momentum and jumped, and attempted to deliver a point blank drop kick to Arthur's chest. Whether the attack landed or not Alastor used both his hands, one of which still had his swords to flip himself over so he wouldn't hit the ground. He then glanced at Aura and pulled out a small dagger from one of his sheaths, the dagger enchanted with lightning magic, as he threw it towards her. However the dagger would then ricother mid air three times before going in her direction, each time changing direction effectively making a zigzag motion to throw her off, but the dagger itself was rather easy to block or dodge as it didn't have any sort of tracking. Alastor was gouging the girl's reflexes now, if she truly was enhanced, she would be able to see the dagger coming a mile away and probably even block it with her sword. Which would prove Alastor's suspicions. "Hmm. " Alastor muttered to himself. Awaiting both trainees's actions.
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted April 3, 2018 {Mariel: en route to Lake Kresnik} Mariel got on the griffin behind Henry so she could drop off if need be. It would hurt a bit, but she was confident she could at least glide down to the ground if need be. Once airborne, she relaxed a little. The griffin was flying smoothly and both her companions seemed to know how to handle it. She took part of the flight time in a nap. Guardian Angels did need much sleep, but her training had taught her to grab it while she could. Though her sleep seemed sound, her eyes snapped open when Henry spoke of an aura already at the lake. "If we're lucky, it is investigators from Shiva's court." Mariel chimed in. "Working with them to catch the true assassin could go a long way to keep the war from reigniting." A quick sip from a flask brought her fully away as the griffin landed. The disguised angel slipped off and landed lightly on the ground. She listens carefully to the surrounding wilderness and tried to focus on the auras her companions commented on. One was kind of hard to nail down, but another she knew quite well. So, there were still those mutants about. "I believe one is a Witcher." The red headed angel told her companions. "Knew a few way back when. Unless they've changed while I was away, I'd say this one was hired to do some hunting." As Mariel strode forward, she was engulfed in light. When it disappeared, she was in her natural angelic form. If these were indeed people from Kilkis Seres, it was best to play nice and not hide anything.
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted April 3, 2018 (edited) - Meksis, the United, Armour of Twilight - Kilkis Camp Outskirts, w/ Jynn and Company - Jynn reciprocated Meksis's handshake gladly, his remembrance of Meksis was limited at best yet it was enough for Jynn to appear to trust him. Either that was Meksis's natural aura at work, or Jynn deciding for himself, perhaps both? He couldn't say, but he was glad the new king was pleased to see him again. Though when Jynn began to look around, Meksis couldn't help but wonder what he might've been looking for. Surely by now, he had heard of the assassination of his mother, the queen, perhaps he was on the lookout for her killer or maybe some ambitious fools looking to take advantage of the dissent and chaos. Jynn's next words almost put those thoughts to rest, as he merely sought the current regent, Yevgeni Malachite, likely to speak to him and relieve him of his duties, for the king had returned. "I'm afraid I don't know where exactly Yevgeni is, but he shouldn't be far, he was giving a declamation--" Meksis paused, tilting his head briefly at himself before straightening up again. "Er, speech, to all present here, moments ago. He should still be within the Campgrounds." He corrected himself and went on assuredly, then he extended a hand lightly. "If you wish, I could escort you into the Camp and assist in finding him? It would be my honour to serve you. My liege." Meksis proposed, adding the proper form of address as to instill confidence in Jynn, believing he could truly take his mother's place rather than leave the regent in charge. Meksis's attention was then grabbed by the sudden greeting of a Cyph, who was leaning to the side from behind the new king to peek at the armour before speaking out. "Hello there! And, you are?" He replied kindly. - Nergal, the Queenslayer - Kilkis Camp Outskirts, in the shadows - It was as Nergal hoped, the gathering taking place was between Shiva's loyalists and her heir. They would seek to undermine his and Yevgeni's plan by forcing the latter out of his position of power...Nergal growled quietly to himself. He couldn't allow this, this treason against Yevgeni to transpire. "Yevgeni is the new, true power in Kilkis Seres...this King, is but a pretender. I will silence him as I silenced Shiva." Nergal spoke internally before sneaking back into the Camp, seeking to find and use a weapon, a dagger optimally. He cursed Lord Raiden under his breath for the destruction of the Feyslayer he had used before. A righteous gift from Yevgeni that was and a suitable weapon indeed..."Looks like I'll need to craft my own, as it were." Soon after approaching the Camp's Armoury, Nergal had spotted a Guard, possibly a Royal Guardsmen of the Queen judging by his regal armour, who seemed uncomfortable. Absent-minded. His morale was low after hearing news of his monarchs demise and with no queen to protect, he had been reassigned to the Armoury and its safekeeping. A dull duty compared to before, Nergal thought, as he scanned him visually: The Guardsmen carried his spear in his right hand, with a large shield slacking on his left arm and his body was constantly shifting, his shoulders rolling as he was unsettled and judging by his inaction toward the horn that sounded earlier, was definitely in low spirits. His eyes lit up beneath his hood when he spotted something: A sheathed dagger upon the back of his belt, presumably used in emergencies, as a last stand weapon, but it was more than suitable. Silently closing in on the Guardsmen, Nergal longingly reached for the daggers handle, it was as regal and ceremonial as the Royal Guard who carried it, as was the sheath. Clutching it without drawing his attention, Nergal drew it from the sheath slowly and gently, the sounds made were relatively minor, particularly compared to the bustle of the camp. The further rolling and adjustment of the Guards armour completely drowned out the noise regardless as Nergal succeeded, taking the dagger for himself and disappearing into the shadows to re-position back to where he was before. "A fine blade indeed...and is it...?" Nergal poked the tip of the dagger very lightly, like a feather and still, he recoiled a little from the prickle of pain. "Ahh! ...perfect." He uttered quietly as he began to channel various energies of his into the blade via his hand. Darkness and his own powers of the void, the Nothingness, seeped into the blade, but the former was the most foul, having been accumulated from many years of Meksis's service prior to Nergal's awakening, the blade's former metallic shine was morphed into a violet shade consumed by black waves and dark red speckles all edging from the dagger, more than enough to ensure a painful, swift death. "Now...we wait...come on, "king", turn around...!" Nergal waited almost impatiently, but stifled his eagerness and just observed the party...watching. Waiting. Hoping. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted April 3, 2018 King Jynn, Dawson, and Bherna-Kilkes Seres Campsite with Typhon and Meksis Meksis unfortunately isn't aware of Yevgeni's exact location, but he knows that he did make a declamation earlier. Jynn rolls his eyes. Oh boy, bet he said some really dumb stuff.... Meksis offers to escort the new monarch to the campsite, as well as notifying him that it would be an honor to serve him. Jynn nods with a nice smile. "I'd deeply appreciate it Meksis. Lead the way." Dawson jumps off of Mel's head. "We need to search fast though." Typhon quickly greets himself as well. Jynn pauses. Someone is watching him at this exact moment. Unbeknownst to Nergal, Jynn is already aware of his presence. Thanks to the young monarch's deadly senses, Nergal's quiet and quick movements did not hide the vibrations he made, nor the aura he emits. Judging from the rapid movements Nergal made, Jynn already understands what is on the subject's mind. Jynn thinks to himself. Well, well, well. Did not expect someone to be stalking me this quickly. He faces Mel. "I want you to take Bherna high in the sky for a moment." The pegasus quickly obliges and takes to the air with Bherna. He also makes a request to Jeremy. "Can you keep an eye on her one quick second? Please?" Jynn pretends to show an opening. Every single muscle in his body is ready for combat. Make your move, murderer! 2 Scrapmaster and Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 3, 2018 Arthur was personally pleased that he managed to catch Alastor off guard. There was a first time for everything, and if anything, it meant that he was getting better. At least, that's what he hoped. Be didn't hesitate, quickly jumping onto his feet as Alastor charged at him again. He blocked the first attack, taken back by the sudden speed and power as he dug his heels against the dirt. He barely got time to analyze, slash after slash landing against his sword, the next one more powerful than the last. He could see the spark in his eyes, the electric charge beginning to fill the air bit by bit, little by little. Alastor pulled his swords and staggered them both before he landed a kick right on Arthur's chest, knocking the breath right out of the knight. Arthur was sent flying back as his back hit the floor hard, ache quickly spreading across his chest as he groaned. That hurt, real bad. "(Should've blocked that one...!)" Arthur thought, groaning as he forced himself to sit up, using his sword to help himself stand onto his feet. He held his chest for a moment, pushing himself up as he prepared his next attack. "(Got to land another one.)" He thought, holding his sword tight as his narrowed his eyes, glancing at the electricity filled knife that was sent at Aura. With the adrenaline pumping, he dashed at Alastor again. This time he felt his body's energy surge, sparks flying as he saw the lightning dancing at the tip of his blade. He didn't even question it, instead allowing it flow as he felt his mind waver again, similar to when he fought against the girl in the battlefield before. Just as he lifted his sword to bring the blade down to Alastor, he vanished. More of, moved, dashing to Alastor's side at the very last second, in a speed so fast he only left a trail of burnt grass in his wake. It showed a full quarter of a circle as he reappeared right next to Alastor, bringing his sword down as his eyes gleamed with raw, untrained energy, ready to burst.
