Alot of people are not for side quest (fetch, escorts, searching, ect.),but I think it would not only make the game replayable, but if the implented lore in the side missions we would learn more back stories and stuff for each world, giving us much more to do than the regular old : complete the world's story, and off to the next one. For example: after completing M.T Olympus, there's 5 good lore quest to to do for that world. Such as: a ncp has gotten a letter stating that icarus is trapped in the Labyrinth you get there and find icarus, and do 2-5 objectives while learning about icarus, how he is friends with herc, and how he even got thereAlso I think minor real time events should appear.another example:when ever your just exploring a world,at random you see off in the distance a darkside is attacking a city. What do you guys think? And please excuse my bad English.

I would love to see something like this in KHIII. Side quests are actually pretty cool! (Your English is fine, by the way.)

Ooh, I like the idea! I would love if KH3 had sidequests. That would be a cool way of giving the player more information about characters, not to mention it would add even more replayability to the game.

Your examples would be awesome, I wouldn't mind it!

Thanks, you guys! I appreciate the love. We've been waiting eleven years for this and I just think that side missions would help make the game worth the wait.

Fetch quests and escort missions should be avoided in my opinion. That said, I do like the idea of fighting optional boss battles and discovering secret areas containing lore about the worlds you visit.

Icarus was only in the tv series, and I'm unsure of him having an adult character model.

I think fighting Nessus out somewhere in the wild would be fun.

Why would someone be against sidequests ^-^. You're getting more things to do rather than the game being linear *cough like every single game in the franchise.

I don't want this game to be like KH2 and Dream Drop Distance where there were hardly any secret bosses. KH2 has 1 secret boss and DDD has 2 new ones. That's nothing, KH1 had Phantom, Kurt Zisa, Rock titan, ice titan and Sephiroth without final mix.

The game needs sidequests to add depth and make worlds more immersive.

I'm not against side quests, but they should not be a way to add to the lore. One of the biggest problems with Kingdom Hearts, is Nomura has an awful habit of not concisely conveying his plot points within the actual story. Or his habit of leaving out explanations all together, and addressing it in interviews, which a large part of the fanbase does not read. Lore should be concisely addressed within the main narrative. Otherwise it leaves players confused, and prone to spreading misinformation.
