Radiant Garden - Keyblade Academy

Within the craggy, mountainous zone of Radiant Garden, a large establishment stood solitary in the night. Light that peered through windows or from streetlamps penetrated the surrounding darkness, making it evident that despite the late hour of night, the area was still lively. A few smaller buildings were built around one large building that almost appeared to be a small castle, with spires and even a clock tower rising up above the rest of the campus. A few people walked around outside and between the buildings, going to training arenas or back to their living quarters to rest for the night.

However, this peace would be short-lived. Two figures clad in white cloaks approached the academy, looking at it from above a nearby hilltop. They studied the school, making note of its layout and the lacking presence of people outside. The shorter of the two, gaze still focused at the target, spoke to the other: "You'd better not get nostalgic. We have a mission to conduct. The more damage we can deal, the better, and we don't need distractions."

The other merely shook their head. The first nodded, and the two both waved their arms ahead of themselves, beginning the initial phase in their plan.

Suddenly, a wave of Nobodies appeared around the buildings. Dusks, Dragoons, Wizards, and more swarmed around the campus, breaking their way into the buildings to begin wreaking havoc. Alarms began to blare, alerting the students that someone, or something, was attacking. It was now up to them to fight back. Wherever they were, they would have to fight their way through the hordes to find out what was going on outside the walls of the school...

Indy was sitting in the academy's library when the invasion occurred. He had been completely distracted by his studies, at least until the sirens went off. He dropped his book and hastily stood up, nearly knocking over the chair he sat on. Who's breaking into the academy? This world has been peaceful for years... He wondered to himself as he summoned his Keyblade. He didn't notice anyone else around him; the library tended to be fairly empty around this time of the year, especially at night. He ran out into the halls to investigate, keeping a tight grip on his weapon in case any enemies showed up.

Of course, once he got close to the library's exit, he was faced by a few Samurai Nobodies. "What are these doing here?" He asked aloud this time. He decided to keep his distance, having heard that these were Nobodies with powerful close-ranged attacks. He'd move in once he'd seen what they were capable of. He pointed his Keyblade at one of them, its tip glowing red as it prepared a spell. "Fire!" He exclaimed, and a fireball burst out of his weapon and into the Nobody, hitting it directly in its torso. It recoiled, though it limped alongside its comrades.

Zion used Luna''s shoulder to prop her head up and listen to the cacophony of reports. Yawning one more time, she shook her golden locks.

"Gaku...take these students and find the others. Rendezvous at the Great Hall and hole up there. Luna, you with me. We will scout the area for those blurry figures and ensure no students are left alone." She suddenly picked Luna up bridal-carry. "I need your support abilities. If someone can coordinate an attack like this, I'd rather have an advanced healer backing me." Her wings burst into existence on her back, and she took flight, keeping Luna steady.

"Nonsense, Indy."

Kandor approached Rei and Indy with an amicable smile, only a small tear the base of his coat indicating that it wasn't a purely normal day. A pair of nobodies darted at him from behind at the same moment he clasped his hands together, smile unabating. A semi-translucent sphere formed just behind him and the thin white bodies of the nobodies were unable to keep themselves from entering it as they made their way to Kandor. They struggled as the purple sphere tugged them to the ground, sundering them and tearing them apart with unnatural force. The sphere soon dissipated, with no sign it, or the nobodies had ever existed.

"We must surely find the ones who did this. In fact every second we waste is another moment we give them to escape." He rubbed his hands together as he focused his eyes on them, thinking.

"Did any of you happen to see any shady characters about the campus today?"

Saki almost gasped when Sora was mentioned. The Sora? Oh man! No way! The Street Rat nodded. "Alright. I'll get my sister then." He said, turning to the direction of his treehouse. "PAAAKKIIII!!!" He called.

The pink haired girl sighed and stood up. "About time he needed me." She commented. Paki then jumped from branch to branch over to the school, heading towards Saki. She ran towards where her simple-minded brother was. "This better be important Saki. We've got a test tomorrow on Gates and Realms." She said. "FYI, we're going to see Master Sora." He said calmly.

"M-M-M-M-Master Sora!!!???" She said with her hair getting ruffled. "N-N-Now? We're going now? Right now?" Her expression went from annoyed to utterly shocked and surprised. "Umm...Yeah." Saki said, a bit freaked out by his sister's reaction.

Paki then looked over behind Saki. "Oh hey Indy. Rei. Kandor." She greeted.

After a few minutes, Alvis, Ratio and Spark reached Sora's quarters. The door was open and a light was on, but there were no signs of the Master.

Alvis peeked into the room and was surprised to see four Dusks at the far corner of the room. They seemed to be surrounding something...

Oh crap.

Sora's Meow Wow was huddled into the corner, shaking with fear, as the Dusks jumping and slithering around him. After not having to fight for years, along with not having seen Nobodies before, the Dream Eater's response to the intruders was fright rather than fight.

Upon seeing the predicament, Alvis's demeanor seemed to change.

"Don't be afraid, Meow Wow! Fight! You can do it! (OOC: Believe in the me that believes in you!)"

His words had not fallen upon deaf ears. Not only did the Dusks turn toward the door, but upon hearing Alvis, Meow Wow was able to discard his fears and get up. While the Nobodies were distracted, Meow Wow cast an Aeroga spell that shredded the Dusks into oblivion.

When the dust settled, Meow Wow bounced over to his friend.

"Good job!" Alvis exclaimed as the Dream Eater starting licking him. "Oh yeah, do you know where Sora went?"

Meow Wow immediately went to work, sniffing around for any signs of his owner. After a minute, he squeaked (or whatever it is Meow Wows do) at Alvis and the others and scurried out the door toward the staircase down the hall.

"Let's go. Follow him," Alvis told the other two students as he went after his friend.

Tsubaki let out a sigh, as she was running towards the sounds of fighting, she turned a corner, and saw the libaray. "Everything's okay. Just need to... There!" Tsubaki laughed happily for a second before running up to Harmony, Gaku, Zion, and Luna, just as Gaku had asked if Master Zion had any suggestions. She took a second to catch her breath, before looking to Zion. She would know what to do, she should at least she was a teacher.

"I'm here! Thank goodness I found you guys, I've been looking for people since the attack began... What even happened?" Tsubaki asked, as she leaned on Rainfell, she had fought, and ran, and hadnt really stopped moving until just now. But, now at least she had found people, that was preferred over being alone any day of the week. Even if she hadn't interacted with the people around her all too much.

Gaku nodded his head understanding his objective. "Yeah. I see what I can do." He replied. Gaku and Harmony watched Zion take flight with Luna in tow towards the hilltops. Typical of her. . . Gaku thought. He turned to face Harmony and Tsubaki. "I already pinpointed where the students earlier. We'll start with the ones outside and bring them in, next the others that are currently checking out Master Sora's quarters, and finally rendezvous at the Great Hall." Gaku commanded. "We do not know what kind of madness awaits for us. So stay sharp and don't fall behind." Gaku stated as he turned his back against the two and started running towards the forestry along with Harmony.

- Maximilian Cruz - Academy courtyard -

Maximilian slowly but surely carved a way through multiple nobodies with his keyblade and magic to get to the courtyard, why was he going there? well, it was the only place to go from where he was, really. plus he figured if he went to the Courtyard he could possibly meet up with some students and see if they could find out what was going on.

"Damn, no one I recognize..." Max spoke with a sigh as he intercepted a Samurai nobody who was about to slash at him, blocking the sword attack with his Keyblabe, Maximilian's hand quickly got covered in darkness, creating what seemed like a dark claw as he grabbed the Samurai nobody by the throat, or whatever it was and threw it at a Dusk attacking another student.

"They just keep coming..." He muttered, frustrated.

"No doubt some people are already looking for Sora...but what about Riku?" He asked...

Luna softly cried out in embarrassment as she was swiftly carried by her instructor; her face was redder than a tomato as she struggled to keep up with the pace of everything going on around her. Her aura of confidence quickly disappeared and she was back to her usual self. "O-ok," she nodded, "I'll... I'll do my best!" As the two of them took flight, Luna tried to remember her strongest attributes to help out. "All I can do is... well, healing." It didn't sound like much, but she knew that everyone in combat will need a healer eventually whether they like to admit it or not. I hope no one has been hurt so far. What are we going to do if this gets out of hand?

After taking out the Dragoons, Joel was attacked by a group of Dusks. He was about to engage in combat when a Samurai flew into one of the Dusks, killing them both.

He turned to the side to see what could have sent the Nobody flying.

"Oh hey, it's Max!" Joel shouted to his fellow student. Fortunately for Joel, the Dusks were too bewildered by the flying Samurai to attack Joel while he was distracted.

"Yeah, yeah. Dont fall behind. He says, immediately before running away, making me chase him..." Tsubaki grunted under her breath as she followed behind Gaku, and Harmony. She let out a sigh, and shook her head, blowing some blonde hair from her face. Something was on Tsubaki's mind however... How could an attack like this be orchestrated? She only wished she hadnt been training by herself when this whole thing started, it would have been much, much easier to have been around other people... But, now she was following people she barely knew.

Outside the Academy - Indy

Indy listened to Rei's suggested plan quietly. He was about to agree, Kandor arrived to suggest another plan. The entrance of Saki and Paki also made this group a bit more complicated. How did we grow in size so quickly...? The student silently wondered before addressing the main issue at hand. As much as he respected Kandor, he thought that Rei's idea was also good. After a moment of thought, he came to a conclusion. "I actually agree with Rei. I left a few people behind to find her, and I need to go make sure that they're still safe. Finding Master Sora would also be a good idea, I think... After that, we can go and track down their leader." He shared his own plan with the group. "If anyone else wants to go find the leader now, they can go do that. Rei and I are going to go track down Master Sora though, and we could use help." He looked over at Rei. "Ready to go?"

Hill overlooking the Academy - ???

The two figures trained their gaze on the Academy, watching the battle ensue. It seemed as though the Nobodies weren't holding out as well as they were expected to. The shorter of the two growled in frustration. "We might need to move on to the next phase soon... We don't know how much time we'll have."

This is bad. This is very, very bad!

It was bad enough that the sudden crisis was going on, but the fact that Vili was separated from Indy and Ratio made it even worse for the young heroine. Running through the courtyards, she had just escaped from a horde of white monsters that almost had her subdued. Now she was desperately looking for someone to help her.

"No doubt some people are already looking for Sora...but what about Riku?" He asked...

"Oh hey, it's Max!" Joel shouted to his fellow student. Fortunately for Joel, the Dusks were too bewildered by the flying Samurai to attack Joel while he was distracted.

She heard the commotion nearby, the sound of Keyblades clashing. She quickly hid behind a nearby staircase to survey the area before acting further.

Then, hearing the sound of her fellow student calling out to another of their comrades, and seeing that the area was now safe for the most part, she decided to join in as well. Only to see that the remaining Nobodies were getting ready to attack once more. "Max! Joel! I'm here too!" She called out, summoning her Keyblade. "I'll take care of the rest of th-WOAH!"

In her bluster, she accidentally tripped and fell onto the hard ground, directly on her face. "O-ow..."

With that, the Nobodies saw her as easy prey, and decided to attack her all at once. Looking up from the ground, Vili saw the horde coming in fast, and quickly yelped in fright before covering her face with her arms and blade.

After a few minutes, Alvis, Ratio and Spark reached Sora's quarters. The door was open and a light was on, but there were no signs of the Master.

"Huh. I didn't even know Master Sora had his own Meow Wow. Guess that tells you a lot about his time in the Realm of Sleep," Ratio said.

"Well, looks like it's pretty powerful to boot! Nice job, little guy!" Ratio said, giving the creature a thumbs up.

He then followed it and the others towards wherever it was taking them.

- Maximilian Cruz- Courtyard of the academy -

"Oh hey Joel" Max recognized his good old friend almost immediately, Joel and Max have been friends ever since they first met at the academy, even though they had different view on things, they got along very fine, Joel used to even joke about forming a 'Team Magnet' of sorts, pretty ridiculous, but Max liked the sound of that actually.

Before he could comment further VIllis quickly ran up to to the courtyard, yelling at them, and tripped right after "Oh boy..." Max commented as he looked at Joel for a second.

"Alright Joel, lets do this. Double magnet!" Max spoke, casting Magnet, Joel would folloup with his own magnet spell to increase the intensity.

"Alright!" Joel cast Magnet alongside Max. The two spells combined, multiplying their attractive power. It was enough to pull all of the Nobodies away from Vili.

"Initiating special combination attack!" Joel pointed his Keyblade at the ball of Nobodies and cast Gravity, sending them falling toward the ground.

"Max!"

Retcon: Meow Wow also licked Ratio's face as thanks for the compliment.

- Maximilian Cruz - Academy Courtyard -

"Alright then!" not only were the nobodies near Villis pulled as well, many other nobodies nearby also got pulled, so many were in the blast. As Joel's Gravity pinned the pulled Nobodies to the ground. Max twirled his keyblade a bit before slamming it into the ground.

"Graviton Crush!" Max yelled, nicknaming the combination attack, as his Quake spell hit all of the nobodies with extreme force and power. Destroying them all, for a moment, things were clear.

He simply smiled and gave Joel a thumbs up before running over to Villis.

"You alright Vilis?" He asked her, offering her his hand to help her up.

Retcon: Meow Wow also licked Ratio's face as thanks for the compliment.

D'aaaaaaaw.

"You alright Vilis?" He asked her, offering her his hand to help her up.

Vili stopped quivering and looked up to see Max offering his hand. "T-thank you, Max," she said, taking it and standing up. "I-I'm sorry that I had to make you go through the trouble of saving me," she said, then motioning to Joel. "The same to you, Joel. I just got carried away... I really am sorry..."

Sweet, that worked! Joel thought after Max destroyed all the Nobodies. It's good to know that our theory was sound enough... Hopefully our other attacks are as successful...

Joel was drawn out of his musing by Vili.

"Don't worry about it!" he told her. "Friends gotta help each other out, y'know?" (INB4RAI)

"Now then..." he turned to Max. "You muttered something about Master Riku earlier, right? I think finding him would be a good idea. He and Master Sora can probably rally all the students together."

"So where should we begin our search?" he asked both Vili and Max.

Sora's office - Meow Wow

Meow Wow took a look back to make sure that he was being followed by the others. After making sure that they were still nearby, it bounced up the stairs, hurrying to find Sora. Once it reached the top of the stairs, it ran down a hallway and turned into another, where a group of Nobodies were surrounding the founder of the Radiant Garden Keyblade Academy.

Master Sora faced the Nobodies with a rather calm posture. Despite being completely surrounded, he seemed to be doing fine. However, something seemed to be holding him back... Regardless, he suddenly sprung into action. He leaped forward, swinging his Keyblade at a nearby Berserker and destroying it in one hit. He swiftly cast Reflega to reflect the attack of another one, then turned and fired off a Blizzaga spell at it, freezing it in its tracks. He continued to quickly move around the makeshift battlefield, dodging, firing off spells, and slashing as he tried to force his way through the Nobodies. Unfortunately, more seemed to fill in to replace the ones he'd already defeated...

In a flash of light, more nobodies were destroyed around Sora. "So they call you the master around here?" Spark said as he appeared beside Sora with his keyblade already summoned and he was leaning in a pose. "Maybe you should try and do more to defeat these things if you are as great as people claim you are." Spark said as he slashed at multiple heartless like another dusks and samurais. He then used multiple thunder attacks and key blades attacks to take out another Berserker nobody leaving Spark's magic a bit low for the moment.

"So where should we begin our search?" he asked both Vili and Max.

"Well... If I remember correctly, I last saw Master Sora going up to his study. As for Master Riku, I'm not too sure. He might be off campus."

As the Nobodies continued to persist, Ratio made use of his speed boost once more, his energy now completely replenished, and started dashing towards the white creatures, slashing through the lesser Dusks while bucking and weaving to take on the stronger and more durable Samurai.

Ratio then stopped himself and appeared next to Sora, giving him a quick salute. "Reporting for duty, Master Sora! Oh and, uh, don't mind the new guy. He just got here and he hasn't seen what you can do at full strength."

Saki looked back at the Courtyard, where the iconic "Team Magnet" and a girl were. More Nobodies were just surrounding them, mostly Dusks and one Berserker. "I'm gonna go help out those guys back in the courtyard. I don't know about ya'll, but I'm craving a bit more action. Heh!" He said with a smirk at the end. He dashed off to the courtyard with no hesitation at all. Paki made a small groan as she saw her brother run off. "What a nutjob." She looked back at Rei, Indy, and Kandor. "We should get going and find Master Sora. I hate to say it, but even he might be in trouble right now with this sudden ambush." She stated.

Sounds of snickers and chuckles came out of that red-haired boy's mouth as he ran towards the courtyard. The excitement was just over-whelming him. "Hey Fellas!" He yelled before performing a Sliding Dash to get rid of some of the Dusks. He spun his Keyblade and let it rest on his shoulders. Saki looked at the trio with a confident smile. "It's kinda funny. With you two being Team Magnet, you guys attract most of the Nobodies. Heh heh heh!" He joked.

Meow Wow scurried over to Sora's side and started barking at an approaching Berserker. That made the Nobody shift its attention toward the little Dream Eater.

Meow Wow pounced forward with a Horn Bounce, but it didn't even faze the giant. The Berserker was just about to retaliate when suddenly...

"Stop."

The Nobody was frozen in place. Alvis walked past the others toward the Berserker.

"I'd suggest you watch what you say regarding the Masters," Alvis told Spark. With that he threw his book into the air.

He then started throwing punches at the Berserker, trying to get as many hits in until Stop wore off. Once the spell broke, the Nobody began to take the damage that was already dealt. While it was staggered, Alvis cast Fire on his hands, wrapping them in flames, and struck the Berserker with both fists simultaneously. The Berserker flew back a little bit before fading away.

He dissipated his own flames and caught the book he had thrown earlier, and then turned back to Sora.

"Can we please just get this over with already, Master?"

(Idk what to do for Joel rn so he'll do stuff later)

Kyle Conner

Location: Dorms 2

"Mmmn.rr... just... 5 more minutes..." The boy resting, or better said sleeping was muttering. Apparently the noise from the outside was not a problyem for Kyle´s ability to oversleep, after all he was reading a book about the keyblade war, then he had to do some reports, of course after the demanding training in the afternoon. The result, he was too tired to give a thing for the noise outside. Of course that sleep was interrupted by a falling book on his head, due to the "Light" vibrations, caused by the chaos inside and outside the eastern dorms.

"Whoah! I was not asleep I swea.. huh? what´s all that chaotic noise!" Kyle said as he moved outside his room. After he opened the door however he could see the reason. A bunch of dusks, a kind of Nobodies running across the hallway, chasing the students and destroying what they could.

"What the F_--!" Kyle shouted as he started to run as fast as he could. At the corner of the hall however, a dusk appeared blocking him the way. "Mmm nope!" Kyle again shouted in panic, dodging the claws of the Dusk as he kept running. The place was literally falling apart. "Ok this has to be a nightmare.. I need to wake up!" he thought as he saw people in combat, others taking refuge and others simply running. "I need to find an open area, NOW" Kyle thought as he summonned his keyblade and kept running trying to find an exit of the building. A few moments later, he was outside reaching the countyard.

"It looks less chaotic here" He muttered as he reached the central area, spotting another group of wielders, a girl and two guys. As he came closer he recognized two of the faces.  "Max! Joel! Wat the heck is going on here!" Kyle muttered as he came close to the trio.

I'll do my best!" It didn't sound like much, but she knew that everyone in combat will need a healer eventually whether they like to admit it or not. I hope no one has been hurt so far. What are we going to do if this gets out of hand?

"Healing is fine. if you have any other support abilities, I'll need them."

Zion angled her wings and came banking in hard. "Hard landing, Guardian Maneuver 22-3." She said. having met some of her old brethren before, before...Xion's...

She shook the tears away and, about ten feet up, released Zion before executing a perfect drop. Wings flared as her eight keyblades burst to life, she stood, her own satellites hanging there.

"You two are going to start begging, because I do not take kindly to this academy being attacked."

Meanwhile, Rei frowned.

"No, we need to find Master Sora. If we don't consolidate our forces we'll get surrounded and overrun."

- Hanzo - Second Dormitory -

The chaos of battle raged outside as if the End of All Things had come, but upstairs inside the Second Dormitory Building, Hanzo Morrison was meditating. His legs crossed and a few sticks of incense in one hand in front of him, his eyes were closed and his breathing slow and deep. Despite the invasion being as ostentatious as one could get, what with every enemy attacking indiscriminately with zero regard for innocents, collateral damage and such, a few of the Samurai Nobodies were infiltrating Dormitories to catch any Students who might not know of or heard the attack or perhaps the ones who are heavy sleepers.

One such Samurai quietly opened the door to Hanzo's room, slithering inside as it drew its blades from the living sheaths they occupy, its walk a slow one with light footsteps as the Nobody moved in with grace and finesse, its breathing unnatural in every sense. The Samurai had gotten close to Hanzo, but had not noticed when he placed the Incense in it's holder before him and assumed he hadn't become aware of its presence as it began to raise its blades--

"Stealth is not your speciality."

This comment momentarily threw off the Nobody, long enough for Hanzo to retaliate, shifting into a low sweep kick to knock the Samurai over, swiftly standing and drawing his Keyblade to deal the finishing blow, but was blocked by the living Sheaths which allowed the Samurai to get back on its feet and attack with full force, subtlety no longer an option. Several clashes of blades occurred, an opening was made and Hanzo kicked the Nobody with enough force to throw it through his Door and into the adjacent wall. The creature attempted to recover, its inhuman groans those of pain, but a Dark Fira ball from Hanzo's hand put an end to that move, vaporising the Samurai.

Descending the stairs at full speed, Hanzo rushed to a door in the lower Dormitories and hammered on it furiously. "Lena! We are under attack! Are you okay?!" He bellowed, hoping his friend hadn't been one of the potentially unfortunate students, who he suspected there may have been a few assassinated in their sleep. The door banged hard in response, he saw the hinges buckle under the immense stress placed upon them as he stood back and readied himself, his Keyblade ready to strike...

- Lena - Second Dormitory -

Another hard bang and the door broke away, falling to the ground just in front of Hanzo, along with a brutalised Dragoon Nobody that struggled for life before being silenced by a thin blade.

Lena Reyes removed the blade from the deceased creature and wiped it clean before sheathing it in her Cane. "I heard them arrive. They had to have been summoned here by someone..." She hypothesised, then let out a chuckle as Hanzo relaxed in front of her, placing a hand on his shoulder while she walked past him to the door. "I'm just glad to see you're okay. Now let's get out there." Lena spoke with a soft tone rarely heard by anyone else, save Hanzo.

Hanzo scoffed lightly, muttering under his breath: "Do I even need to worry?", then followed closely behind Lena as they headed to the Courtyard, surely more students would have gathered there.
