Gameblog interviews Tetsuya Nomura, states that the development of Kingdom Hearts III is at a relatively advanced level

Gameblog, a French website was given the chance to interview Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series. During the interview, Nomura discussed that the development of Kingdom Hearts III is at a relatively advanced level and that the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake will not effect the development of Kingdom Hearts III as they are being developed by two separate teams. You can view an unofficial translation of Nomura's answer regarding Kingdom Hearts III's development below thanks to KH13 user Sora-.

About the potential difficulties caused by his role as director of Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake, Tetsuya Nomura confirms that they won't impact each other. Both titles are being developed by two different teams that don't interfere with each other. The development of Kingdom Hearts III being at a relatively advanced level, and that of FFVII which began recently, Kingdom Hearts III won't monopolize all the attention of its creator.

so this kind of confirms what i'm been thinking. my thought was now that nomura isn't working on ff15 anymore the whole kh3 isn't going to be coming out before ff15 has been blown out of the water, this also explain why in the trailer kh3 looks like it has had a lot more progress then we thought or at lest thats what i was thinking.

Keep in mind that new trailer is still an old build relatively as well.

Well, with Nomura saying that development is going at a relatively advanced level, that can only mean good things!  And that can only mean that we'll get even more small tidbits regarding Kingdom Hearts III throughout the rest of the year until we reach D23 this November!  Gahhh, I'm so psyched! :D
