Kingdom Hearts 3D launch event announced for New York

Square Enix have announced that a premiere launch event will be held for the North American release of Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]. On Saturday July 28, 2012, from 9AM to 1PM, at the Nintendo World Store in New York (10 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10020), fans will have the opportunity to purchase the standard or Mark of Mastery (limited quantities) versions of the game three days before its scheduled release on July 31, 2012. Fans will also have the opportunity to write messages to the Japanese development team of the game, or take photos in a Kingdom Hearts photo both. Exciting stuff! Will you be attending the event? Square Enix also released the following Launch Trailer for North America along with the announcement. This is identical to the recent European Launch Trailer, but also contains a voice-over to explain some features of the game. Enjoy!

    NY is great, mostly NYC is.

    Plus a lot of people live here, so why not create an event for them?

     

    Also they do give a lot of events for the west coast, such as California.

     

    Well yeah there are...though that shouldnt really matter as as a reason for square enix to only have, what might be though i dont really know, one game release there and that's not the point I was trying to make, but anyway...how would you find out about the other events that they hold...if that's possible...

    I am a new fan to the series, finishing up the first game soon I think. I am so excited this is coming to Nintendo World! I am a 1.5 hour ride from the city, but I am going to take it (will be taking a crazy person 3:45am train!) I had this preordered on Amazon but I will cancel it if I get a copy on Saturday.

    Seriously? People are already lined up over there? My train is arriving in Penn Station at 5am, going to have a crazy night tonight. I thought I was nuts trying to get there so early. I didn't want to take the train arriving at 7am, thought it would be too late.

    Holy shit, I really don't think it'll be that bad. (there's always these kind of locals, but they never get anymore bigger then they are at the start until the day of the event) I'm be there at around 7AM, I think I can get the MoM edition still by then (hopefully)

    Judging by the Twitter photo, I expect a huge line going almost around the block before 9am. As for me, I'll walk inside and pick up posters and whatever else they will give out xP
