Alongside new Kingdom Hearts III footage, attendees of the Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater event were also treated to a Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue trailer. Though the trailer is not yet available to the public, we have a few details from attendees who shared their thoughts on Twitter.

What we know so far:

  • All Foretellers' parts had voice acting in the trailer
  • Yen Sid speaks to Riku, Kairi and Mickey about the seven guardians of pure light and why they must protect the Princesses of Heart.
  • Ven, Aqua, Terra also come up in this conversation
  • Mickey tells Riku and Kairi about his recent visit to the Realm of Darkness

It's not been livestreamed, it may not have been recorded. They'll show us soon enough though.

    I heard that they would release the trailer at 5pm Japan time, well it's 6pm there now, and we don't have a trailer to look at. It's just annoying me. Oh well guess I'll have to be patient

    Well, the trailer has ceirtanly been played, that's how they've got to see Marluxia's nobody unit.

    I have a feeling that Kairi will go with Sora into the Realm of Darkness and save Aqua together. Maybe Aqua and Kairi will form a sisterly bond in Kingdom Hearts 3.

    The screenshot did look interesting for 0.2 I have to admit, does anyone know if there's gameplay footage with this as well? Also it's interesting the Foretellers are all voiced, hopefully we hear them actually speak and the trailer should be good

    Man, it hurts that we still have to wait until next year for 2.8!  But hey, at least the game is near, so I'm not too sad!  I just wish we'd gotten the trailer for the game, though! D:
