A Legend of Zelda world would be pretty damn fitting for the mythos of KH. Both have that light vs. dark theme going.

Future Games/KH3 & Forward
Vanitas spin-off game. Plot Hm, I'm not too sure on the main plot actually other than that he's revived through Sora's darkness instead of Ven's & thus becomes more of Sora's rival. Past that the question is if he'll follow through on Xehanort's wishes for balancing light & dark or just drown the whole universe in darkness. A subplot is that another Disney villain, the Horned King, has stolen control of the heartless away from Maleficent so she's recruiting allies like Vanitas to defeat him. Along the way she plays devil's advocate to Vanitas, trying to manipulate his actions to her benefit. Gameplay -Vanitas can switched between his keyblade & a souleater on the fly. The keyblade's more effective against heartless while Souleater deals stronger damage to living enemies. -Because we'd be playing as a boss character, the game would implement 2 traits of villains as game mechanics: minion summoning & boss forms. In Vanitas' case he can summon swarms of unverse (only floods at level 1, stronger varieties become available as the player progresses) to attack enemies. Boss form would be VS (faster, stronger & dual wielding both of his weapons) & Final Boss Form is transforming into an unverse version of Darkside/Twilight Thorn that can smash people flat. Main party members, they're boss forms are directly controlled, Vanitas & the other party members disappear from the field for the duration. 1. Maleficent Minion level 1: Axe Goons Minion level 2: Archer Goons Minion level 3: Neoshadows Boss form: Dragon Final Boss form: gigantic hybrid of her witch & dragon forms. 2. Pete Minion level 1: Beagle Boys Minion level 2: Weasel Knights (from Prince & the Pauper) Minion level 3: Soldier heartless Boss form: Captain Dark, runs over enemies in his race car Final Boss form: Steamboat Willie, which inexplicably can travel on land & shoot fireballs from the smokestacks. Worlds 1. Destiny Islands Plot: Xehanort forces Vanitas' revival by extracting Sora's darkness. Vanitas & Sora fight it out. Sora loses but is saved by Riku who pulls him out of the world. Xehanort sends Vanitas after them while he tends to his own plans. Party: none Enemies: basic shadow heartless (all worlds will have heartless) Boss: Sora, weaken from having half his heart ripped out so he's at a low level. 2. Villain's Vale Plot: Vanitas' runs into Maleficent & Pete, who are having trouble with the heartless that turned against them. Having common enemies in Sora & the in-the-way heartless, Vanitas agrees to join forces with them......for now. Malie forges a new souleater for him. Party: Maleficent & Pete Enemies: Radiant Garden SeeDs Boss: Heartless boss, for the sake of an example some large spider thing. 3. Enchanted Domain Plot: With the Vale overrun by heartless & Leon's troops, VMP return to Maleficent's old lair to regroup & plan. It's decided they'll need an army to get rid of Horned King so they can focus their attention on Sora & his allies. However the 3 fairies catch wind of Malie's return & send for help. This calls forth Phillip & Riku, the latter of whom plans to defeat Vanitas so Sora can be restored to normal. Party: none aside from M/P -Minion: Level 1 unlocked for VMP at this point Enemies: Phillip's men Bosses: Prince Phillip, Riku (sent by Yen Sid to assist the fairies) 4. Neverland Plot: 1st up on the recruitment plan is Malie's past living allies, Hook & Hades. Party: Captain Hook -Minion: Pirates -Boss form: Uses stolen pixie dust to fly Enemies: Lost Boys Boss: Peter Pan 5. Mount Olympus Plot: Hades won

Characters: Apprentice Xehanort, Aqua, Mickey The 3 scenarios do not run parallel to each other like in BBS. AX's is 1st & is about how he & the other org members became heartless. Aqua's stretched over the course of a decade & Mickey's is during KH1 where he searches for the Kingdom Key D. Guest party members (in world characters are physical memories like in CoM) -Braig (AX only) -Dilan (AX only) -Even (AX only) -Aleaus (AX only) -Young Simba (Aqua only) -Adult Nala (Mickey only) -Beast -Mulan (Aqua only) -Captain Shang (Mickey only) -Prince Phillip -Riku (Mickey only) Worlds -World Terminus (hub world used to access the others) -Radiant Garden (AX only) -Transverse Town (Mickey only) -Dark Margin (Aqua only) -Castle of Dreams -Enchanted Domain -Dwarf Woodlands -Pride Lands -Beast's Castle -Land of Dragons -Bambi's Woods -Dalmatian Town -Pleasure Island (Pinocchio) -Dumbo's Circus (mini-game world) -Realm of Darkness Bosses -Heartless of the other org members -Red Eyes -Darkside squad -Guard Armor (Transverse Town) -Maleficent/Dragon Aqua should fight her witch form since she already fought dragon form, so Mickey gets that one. -Evil Queen/Old Hag Queen form uses potions for status effects, as grenades or to turn herself invisible. In addition she stabs with the hunter's dagger. Hag form tosses poisoned apples & the weather is a big factor with frequent lightning strikes & heavy winds blowing the player over the cliff. -Gaston -Monstro Just so those who didn't get BBSFM didn't miss out on much. -Scar (Mickey)/Hyenas (Aqua) -Shun Yu -Cruela De Vil tries to run the player over with her car. Final Bosses AX: Ansem the Wise Aqua: Xenmas Mickey: Vanitas Sentiment KKD turns out to be Vantias' old keyblade & Sora's is Ven's. This is because they're the 2 halves of the X-blade. Final Episode: Chernabog Main point of final episode this time is largely to give Mickey time to actually play with his new keyblade. Plus it's only fitting that a playable Disney character gets a Disney villain as a final boss. Chernabog is revealed to be the ultimate force of darkness in RoD, essentially the "alpha heartless". Riku helps in this fight & the ending goes to the ending of KH1.

Wouldn't You Want Battle Replays For KH III?
I've created a separate save for every boss in the PS2/PSP games, but this is not always convenient (for example witch-form Maleficent in both KH1/BBS is very far from the nearest save point) so instant access to bosses would be handy.

Worlds in BBS Volume 2
There wouldn't be anybody in these worlds because the heartless should've gotten to them. So I suggest an alternative: sentiments. Basically pull a trick from CoM & have physical memories of the inhabitants. That way we can have versions of Cinderella & Maleficent & such.

Multiple Playable Characters in BBSV2
I see 2 possibilities: 1. The game is comprised of numerous disjointed short stories that serve to fill in every remaining hole in the series before KH3. The sky's the limit on playable characters in that case, literally anyone could get a chapter to him/herself set in any point of the timeline. 2. A game set near completely in the Realm of Darkness. Meaning only characters that were in there for an extended period of time are viable. For that I vote Aqua, Mickey & Apprentice Xehanort.

Speculation on Birth by Sleep -Volume Two-
Can't be on PSP, because the NGP makes it obsolete & there wouldn't be a market for it anymore. Can't be on NGP because PS3/360 caliber graphics require higher budgets to make & I doubt S-E would invest that much in a side game. So I'm going with other. They could get a head start on 3DS by releasing this & a port of BBSFM well before KH3D. Alternately, if v2 features a playable Mickey & is set in a "dark" world, then Disney might push for it on Wii as a spiritual follow-up to Epic Mickey.

*facepalm* It's not a remake, VC would mean taking the exact data straight from the GBA version & having it downloadable on the 3DS.

What do you want most in kh3?
A town area in every world-Of course when FF is having trouble with having towns, it doesn't bode well for KH. Pixar worlds-If there's any thing that'll showcase what a difference the PS3 makes for the series, it's this.... Sora & every party member he's had in the series vs. every Disney villain in a bigass battle royale-Except maybe this.

Zero Gear
Zero Gear+3 Sights+Critical Sun+character with high critical stats=half your hits taking off whole bars of HP. Yeah critical hits are overpowered in this game.

Mission Mode Characters.
Mickey is unlocked by completeing the bare minimum objectives for every story mission. Sora is unlocked by clearing all missions 100%.

Changes you would have made to 358/2 Days
1. The biggest change needed is not have the story mode be mission based. The pacing of plot was too slow due to this structure & mission mode had no unique missions of it's own. Instead it should've played out more like other KH games with 1 trip to each world. To maintain the sense of time, there would be 12 playable worlds total (the 8 already there plus Hollow Bastion, Castle Oblivion, Pinocchio's world & 1 more) 1 for each month of the year. Of course only the really important details of the plot can be covered in the main story line. 2. Mission mode is a full 358 days worth of missions since it's an optional mode & shouldn't have to worry about length. Each mission would have it's exclusive cutscenes so plot details that got cut from the revised story mode would reappear here. After all the player should be rewarded for completing missions. 3. Oh & wifi too. 4. More Disney character interaction. I mean wow, it's alarming how much the Disney elements got ignored in this game. I like many people originally played the games for the Disney so this annoys me greatly. Although I guess it does get points for being the 1st in the series to actually let you play as any Disney characters. & on that note... 5. More playable Disney characters in Mission mode. Nomura said they originally planned it that way but feared Disney wouldn't approve. Yet Disney allowed Mickey to be playable so I don't see what the problem was. & while we're still on the Disney subject.... 6. More Disney bosses. Or perhaps more accurately, less heartless bosses. It got so tiring to fight nothing but heartless over & over. It's not until the very end of the game when you finally fight some important character bosses. Before that the only Disney villains (& by extension, the only non-heartless bosses) are Pete & the 3 kids from TNBC. That's..........lame. Some bosses I think should've been included: -Honest John from the removed Pinocchio world. He's a fox with fangs & claws so he could be a threat. Although fighting wasn't his style so maybe a low level boss at best. -Queen of Hearts, she blames Roxas for something he didn't do & orders his head off. To function as a boss she could drink from the growing bottle & be giant sized. -Captain Hook, god this was an obvious one. I guess they omitted it from Days because of BbS but I can think of 1 way to make the fight different: have Hook fly. Yeah, if he's gotta be kidnapping Tinkerbell so much he might as well sprinkle some of dust on himself & think happy thoughts of running his blade through Peter Pan (that sounded dirty). -Jafar in his cobra form. Days missed an opportunity to explain how his lamp got out of the cave of wonders before KH2. & the giant snake form Jafar assumed in the movie has yet to appear in the series. -Hades, can't think of a new twist to this fight, but the game recycles enemies enough as it is so does it matter? Just having Hades would still be better than the 28th Large Body variant. Maybe the setting of the fight could be a new factor like platforms over lava or something. -GASTON!!! Yeah this is the absence that confused me the most. He's the villain of the Beauty & the Beast film, which has been represented in 4 out of 4 KH games up to this point, yet he himself has not been mentioned once. Now it was understandable with the past games due to Maleficent & Xaldin but because of KH2's credits Days was the last chance to feature & boy you'd think that with the lack of new bosses as it is they'd have gone ahead & added him. Plus he could've helped resolve a mystery of KH2 that Days failed to explain: why precisely does Beast listens to a word Xaldin says? The simplest answer would be that Xaldin & Roxas saved the Beast's life when Gaston attacked & he owed them a dept in gratitude. -As a finale to the mission mode, a team up of Pete/Hook/Hades/Gaston (whose revived by Hades). Yeah 4 players vs. 4 bosses, that's epic. 7. More major character boss fights. The fight between Xion & Riku should've been playable. As should Xion vs. Axel & Xion vs. Xigbar. all of these characters are both playable in the game & bosses at 1 point or another so why not? & it'd be interesting to see how Diz would fare as a boss. Since they bothered to render a Ven model for this game they could've had him as the superboss instead of yet another heartless palette swap. 8. The ability to summon nobodies. It's kinda weird the organization never does this in the game. Plus we'll finally see the nobodies the CoM crew commanded. Of course they'll have to come up with different summons for the other multiplayer characters (the walking brooms for Mickey?)

New boss idea
Does the new boss have to be some super special secret bonus boss thing? Looking over the scenarios, I'd say there aren't enough normal bosses: Terra's-The trip to Neverland has 2 halfassed bossfights that come across as a letdown. Either make the 1st of those into a full fledged battle or add something new like maybe a keyblade rider battle against Hook's ship. Ven's-There's no proper boss for him in Olympus Coliseum which is weird considering Terra & Aqua both have multiple bosses there. There's plenty of monsters from the Hercules film to choose from, the rock titan, the cyclops, that centaur....wait wasn't there a scene of Ven & MX in that world in an early trailer? Was there suppose to be a MX bossfight originally or what? Also, Ven's trip to Radiant Garden drags on longer than Terra's & Aqua's but he doesn't have an exclusive boss like they do. Aqua's-There's some annoying redundancy with bosses in Aqua's game. Why a repeat fight with the mirror instead of the queen? I've been waiting to fight her for years! & the coliseum fights are shamefully blatant recycling from KH1. I'd rather Square finish the standard bosses before starting on any secret ones.

Vanitas' next appearence? * BBS SPOILERS*
I got a bit of a wild idea: Vanitas will join forces with Pete & Maleficent. Why? Well basically I'm thinking if Vanitas comes back he'll be more Sora's rival than Ven's, I mean he basically is an evil version of Sora. So I figure if Sora has Donald & Goofy as party members then Vanitas could maybe have a party of his own & Pete/Malie fit the bill perfectly.
