    today my girlfriend and i got yelled at by some asshole for kissing and hugging and got threatened with BAC (which is an alternative school for kids who do really bad shit; drugs, violence, etc) even though we weren't firetrucking doing anything :') yet firetrucking straight couples get to make out anywhere and don't get told shit.

    If you think about it, this whole site is based on people with similar interests coming together. Also, if you notice, fans of just about anything will call out for other fans. "Hey, you like Pokemon?" "You play Halo?" "I noticed your Batman t-shirt. Are you a comic book fan?" Same pattern, different focus.

    but like christianity isnt even a similar interest thing, its a similar set of beliefs. just because you have similar beliefs doesnt mean you'll actually like each other.

    Beliefs are just as strong an attractor as interests. As far as liking one another, people with similar interests also run the same risk of meeting someone that likes the samething, but end up not liking that person. But you don't know till you reach out and try.
