By dark and gritty does he mean he only likes games where the only three colors are white, grey, and brown? Seriously, you can count the number of colors in this screenshot on one hand. And just for clarification, you can be grim dark and gritty while still being vibrant, colorful, and visually appealing. That's a 30 ton super soldier who only knows how to fight, pray, and hate using a Chainsword to slice this poor Ork's head in half. If that's not grim-dark I don't know what is.

You're not in love. You are certainly at an age where you can feel love and express it, but not in a romantic sense. It has always been my personal belief that if you have to wonder whether or not you are in love, then you aren't in love. Same goes for wondering if someone loves you. If you love someone you will certainly know it and feel it, and it's the best feeling in the world.

The game was rushed by Sony and Microsoft so it wasn't really Sega's fault. But it wasn't even in Alpha when they released it as an allegedly "full game". The game actually killed all interest I had for Sonic and I wouldn't get that back until Sonic Unleashed, which had an EVEN MORE stupid and braindead plot but the gameplay was absolutely fantastic. But yeah, the game has no redeemable qualities whatsoever, other than being fun to make fun of. The loading times are long, it had graphics roughly equal to the Nintendo 64, the framerate would drop to slideshow speed if more than two things happened on screen at once, the voice acting made my ears bleed, I've read erotic fanfiction with better story and dialogue, the setting does not feel like Sonic at all, the soundtrack is an abomination of music, the camera angles are awful, sonic runs at 30 miles an hour (as opposed to bring the sound barrier in other games), your allies are only there to do nothing, be annoying, and get you killed, and the controls feel like I'm trying to steer a drunken giraffe on ice skates. Oh and the firetruckING BESTIALITY. The best part is that all of these problems become evident after playing the game for more than 10 seconds, I shit you not.

I'm not saying Nintendo is the better company. Sony and Microsoft contributed a lot to gaming. However it's really undeniable that when it comes to moving forward, Nintendo is in the lead. Sure they have had setbacks such as cartridges and not paying much attention to online gaming even to this day, but what they have contributed far outweigh any and all mistakes they have made. Motion control was a mindless gimmick until the Wii came out. You could even say motion control was a scam until the Wii since all major attempts at motion control since then either didn't work or barely did (even the infamous Powerglove that Nintendo made earlier). Nintendo not only managed to make it work, but work in a way that would actually add to gameplay. Microsoft and Sony would both try to cash in on the motion control craze with the Kinect and Move respectively, and both are superior motion control devices in every way shape and form, but neither have had the impact that the Wii has had. Then you have portable gaming, which of course existed in limited, and crappy forms until nintendo started making Gameboys and later the DS and 3DS. The only major competitor to Nintendo's hegemony of portable devices has been the PSP but the Vita is well, bad (mostly due to games being bad, the system itself is okay) and smartphones are still too limited to provide a true gaming experience. So now, Nintendo is leading the way with the 3DS which again, was absolutely broken concept until now. Hell, you could even make an argument that Nintendo was the first to perfect touch screen gaming with the original DS series. Basically what I'm saying is that Nintendo takes stuff that's broken and gimmicky and turns it into something that can actually work and be quite spectacular. It involves a lot of risk taking and Nintendo has had A LOT of flops so don't get me wrong. But there is no other gaming company out there that actually tries new innovative things and SUCEEDS. While I love the Playstations and the Xboxes I feel their impact has been mainly bringing the innovations of PC gaming into the light. At the end of the day those two basically took the high end pricy gaming PCs and turned them into more affordable and user friendly packages in the form of gaming consoles. PC users were enjoying online gaming, disks, polygons and all that jazz YEARS before consoles got in on the action. The Playstation and Xbox really didn't innovate anything, they just made what was already innovated popular, which is an achievement in itself because without that popularity gaming would not be the massive industry that's making more money than movies and television networks now.

Handhelds count in generations. They progress at the same rate as consoles do. But whether they do or do not is besides the point. Nintendo has been at the front of gaming hardware innovation for the past 20 years. They have no reason to stop making hardware and if they did the result would be disastrous not only for their company, but for the industry as a whole.

If you actually read through everything and didn't skim it to avoid educating yourself you would find that I actually referred to Australia quite a few times. Celebrities like Bon Jovi typically have no idea what they are talking about. The fact that people would rather listen to whatever a celebrity spews out of their mouth than actual facts and statistics is a sad commentary on our society.

Why would they go out of the hardware business? It's what they are best at! Put all of Nintendo's sales from the last two generations together and you have more hardware sold than Sony and Microsoft COMBINED. The 3DS is doing fantastic and the Wii U is doing better than anticipated. Nintendo once saved the ENTIRE gaming industry from dying by making hardware, and they would kill it if they stopped. Guns are the citizen's only way to protect themselves from their own government. Ban guns and a government can do whatever you want. Ban guns they said, you can trust your government they said. I'm usually extremely doubtful of whatever the government tells me. Anyone with basic knowledge of history should know that governments are not trustworthy. As a matter of fact, every government that has ever existed has proven that they cannot be trusted. They lie and do harm to their own people on a regular basis. The United States was founded on the very belief that governments are jerks. Now look at the direction we are headed. The purpose of a Government is to do whatever organizations, businesses, and individuals cannot if you ask me.

Honestly a huge problem with welfare programs in America is that people exploit it. You'd be surprised just how often people abuse it. The system that decides who gets welfare and who doesn't is also horribly broken. Many honest hard working folk get turned down and have to struggle while people who plan on exploiting it in some way get their benefits no problem. Unfortunately, race is a big problem too. There are quotas on the amount of people from one ethnic group that need to be filled up. If you are desperate and need support, but happen to have the wrong skin color you can get turned down, which happens to Caucasians quite often. Put it this way, if my tax money is going to the poor, then I should have a say in how the poor are supposed to spend it. I'm paying for them to fulfill their basic needs and achieve a better place in life, not to buy them new toys. It's actually stealing when you think about it, and should be treated and punished like it. It's essentially embezzlement. You're giving them money for necessities and they spend it on luxury items.
