I know that feeling, man. It's hard for some of us to hold back on correcting others. It's like, "I know what that really is!" but it might be kinda harsh if worded incorrectly.

Yeah, like when I'm talking to someone about smash bros and they say that a character is bad and its hard for me to hold back saying that they're actually good or mid-tier since I've spent probably too much time reading tier lists and stuff

Exactly, that's why I can't hesitate to defend a character's reputation when somebody mocks them or hates on them. But, that's all in the responsibility of being a "nerd" around casual people.

I think a year is too much, but a semester off will do you good if you don't turn lazy. I'm taking a year off, and I think it's doing more good than harm to me.

It's just that 4 of my 5 classes are irrelevant to my major and they're just required by my university so I don't find them interesting and have slept through or played games through most of my classes. I do fine grade-wise but its getting increasingly harder to wake up and go to school just to be bored out of my mind for most of the day. Next semester should be better so I'll let that decide on if I should try to take a year off or not

I've decided on a good one that involves no Friday classes. And I mainly like Friday because finding a good parking spot is a lot easier
