Not sure if relevant, but the Hikaru/Simple and Clean (A Ray of Hope) sampled vocals from 'Travelling', another one of UTADA's older songs. Which is exciting Coz now I'm listening if 'Prisoner of love' or 'Flavour of Life' was sampled too

Yeah, I play the piano so I used to do scales daily, twice a day. But I felt that doing scales only made sure one would not sing off tune. It felt that it contributed little in developing aspects of the voice like Vibrato, or Falsetto.

I mean I did have vocal coaching before, even now I still have yet to develop the other aspects of my voice I think being able to sing harmonies comes with experience as well as musical knowledge of scales and what notes work well.

Oh my goodness! Your experience really comes through! I wish I could sing like that. Any pointers for a noob like me?
