Since I now many people on this site (myself included) are fans of the 'Tales of' series, I thought I would inform all you fans that it was confirmed today that Tales of Berseria (along with other titles such as God Eater) are coming to the west. Unsurprisingly, Tales of Berseria will only be coming out on PS4 & PC in Western countries. This is really why Nomura should have kept the same graphical aesthetic for KH3 and make a change like this for a KH4 or something, so that the Xehanort saga can have the same look throughout the games. The environments themselves look absolutely gorgeous, but I don't think it is a very good trade off when the character models are looking very weak. I will admit that once they got closer in on Riku and Kairi they looked a lot better, but still looking pretty lackluster. Here is to hoping that that they still have a lot planned as far as character models go and smoothing out their animations and such. And is it just me, or did the E3 trailer look a lot better than what they just showed?

I am really disgusted with the KH fanbase right now. They show us new footage, which they were not required to do, and all people do is complain that it wasn't enough. trailers are not even the important part, the real news and such comes from interviews. Everyone needs to calm their tits and appreciate the fact that we have received new footage at all and wait for the interviews with Nomura to learn more information.

I would say just watch Square Enix's live stream and watch it there (details are on the home page as to when it starts), and the English version should follow soon after on YouTube. Keep your eye on both YouTube and the Kingdom Hearts Twitter account throughout the live stream though.

I am not too overly excited about it mostly because it may just be the D23 trailer so there won't be any real shocking or surprising moments. It will be great to see whatever it is nonetheless.

I would pick up both, but if I was held at gunpoint I would definitely say XV. While Persona 5 looks great, it doesn't have the development backstory that XV does. I am far more curious to see what XV will deliver after all these years.

I think he has a solid shot after being in SSBB as an assist trophy and such. He has a lot better chance than most characters I saw nominated.

I think Isaac from Golden Sun has a pretty high chance as he is from one of Nintendo's development studios and based on all the fan polls I saw, he was always in the top 5 most wanted. I also think K. Rool has a very large chance due to his popularity, and also Wolf as he is the most requested character to return.

Well since 0.2 was supposed to serve as the original prologue I will say 1-1.5 hours.

I'm not as attached to Final Fantasy VII as most people are, so I have virtually zero problems with any changes made to the game, all I care is that it is engaging and that I get my money's worth out of each episode.

The art direction looks absolutely beautiful and I think it will represent the side of KH better. Since we didn't see the D23 trailer I can't say if they have fixed it yet or not, but in the E3 trailer all of the movements looked pretty stiff. Obviously that comes with the polishing side of things but other than that I have no gripes with it yet. I am going to need to see how all the characters and worlds look in the Kingdom Shader before I make a final judgement call.

Any remake of a game from the 6th generation onward is going to be forever down the line. The reason remakes are a thing is because the abilities of development have advanced so far in such a short amount of time, as opposed to back in the day where going from 8-bit graphics to 16-bit was a huge deal. KH came out when the advancements were at their peak, and since then the advancements have slowed down significantly. Until the gaming industry hits another huge surge of advancement, a KH remake will not even be considered. Remakes for now are almost wholly done from games that came out on the 5th generation and anything previous, while the 6th generation forward is more focused on remasters of games.

Oh wow, I was expecting an April release at the earliest. I can only hope/assume that the NA release date will be around the same time.

Release order by far. You need to play the original in order to understand and appreciate how the series evolves from there. I don't even think you should play 358/2 until after KH2, because you can't even appreciate Roxas's character without playing KH2. If you play BBS first it really diminishes the roles of Sora, Riku, & Kairi and all the mystery's that surround them throughout KH1. Plus you don't really have the opportunity to understand the mystery of Xehanort if you don't play through in the released order. You should only do a chronological playthrough once you have played all the games and know the story.

I agree that 3 was a disappointment after what 1&2 established. The real problem is that pretty much everything that happened in 3 was a set up for a sequel, which makes it hugely disappointing; especially considering that it sounds like they never even planned to make a sequel. #Isaac4Smash is really my last hope that this series could make a return.

Thank goodness someone on this forum gets it!!! If Isaac makes it in, hopefully it will inspire Camelot to stop making all these bland Mario Tennis & Golf games and actually finish the Golden Sun series (or even make it into a long running-franchise).

I played the game once long ago and didn't pay any attention to the story, so I was excited to pick this version up. I agree with you, this version of the game actually looks really good. I also love the controls so that they now support the analog sticks and that the x button is the default select button now. It was also a neat surprise to see the Remake trailer on the title screen, and the theme that came with it is actually a really good one. Very pleased with this version overall.

I am fairly surprised that FFIII is more played than FFIV, as IV is talked about a lot more and generally receives more praise. Other than that I would say that most games ranked where I thought they would.

I am just surprised to hear that since it looks incredibly identical to FFXV, which is on the Luminous. But since Unreal Engine 4 is pretty universal at this point it makes sense.

I read this earlier today and I actually got really excited about this game(s). It makes me wonder that if they are going to include the whole FFVII Collection in some form or another. I was okay with the episodic format, not excited about it, but okay with it. I knew Nomura was smarter than to pull a completely BS move like that, but I am going to see how much content the first episode has before I judge whether or not this episodic format is justified.

I was curious as to what your thoughts would be on this after all the information we have just received about FFVIIR not being entirely internal, and I am in complete agreement with all those points. We shall just have to continue this never-ending waiting game for the announcement to be made.

It could be good or bad, it is going to depend on how much is released and how long we should expect to wait between each release. I think it could work out inbour favor as it may lead to a lot of new content, but since this is entirely new ground for a JRPG it is hard to say how this will work out.
