I think XIII is great personally. XIII-2 is good too. I am probably less picky than most people, but still I think they are both great games. Also, i think the XIII battle system is cool! It's different than a lot of systems and it definitely makes the player think and plan ahead, requiring more strategy than other systems and especially more than your typical button mashing rpg.

I personally think it will be released on both PS3 and PS4. I think Versus XIII will end up being a launch game for PS4, with a PS3 version also available. This will allow Square Enix to move the Osaka team back to KH3, allowing for a 2015 release, early 2016 release. Considering 2015 is the last "official" year of Sony support for the PS3, this would work perfectly to complete the series on PS3, and draw the series and next saga past the "xehanort saga" onto the next generation. 2015 would also make sense with Nomura's commitment to release a KH game every year. HD 1.5 - 2013 HD 2.5 - 2014 (KH X [chi] is already out in beta in Japan, plus it doesnt really count as a KH game, according to square themselves) KH3 - 2015 It works out! Just my personal prediction.

not all of them. Only like 30-35 of them even existed. there are 109 now. most of it is new. i mean, it's 2 hours and 50 minutes long. You couldn't fit that onto a DS cartridge with a game too.

KH1. I will start it first. I may stop part of the way through and watch 358/2 days. Re: COM will be last for sure. lol

I too am not a fan of First Person Shooters. Mainly because of the short to nonexistent storyline. I will take a 45 hour story over a 5 hour one with endless multiplayer EVERY SINGLE DAY. here are some games I recommend: Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD (when it comes out) Skyrim now that they have pretty much fixed all the problems it had on PS3 and all the DLC is available for it. Star ocean is great valkyria chronicles isnt bad either Assassin's Creed I, II, Brotherhood, Revelations, III, and soon to be IV. Some other great games that aren't really RPG's but they are great platformers: The Sly Collection Sly 4 The Ratchet and Clank Collection Ratchet and Clank Future: all 3 games Uncharted Series Then some other just flat out great games: Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City Lego Lord of the Rings MLB THE SHOW 13 (Idk if you like sports, but this is one of the best games out there)

They are closing stores, I don't know that it is 500 though. And what a lot of the reports miss is that most of these stores are closing because they are moving to different locations. Some are actually closing though. Another thing not mentioned, is that they are also opening a bunch of new stores as well in new locations. So it ends up evening out fairly close.

The HD remake team is not the "Osaka Team" that does the main games and has been stuck on Versus for 7 years. Otherwise, we would not have HD 1.5 yet.

wii u would be a much better deal. And don't forget about games like: the last story, Xenoblade chronicles (if you can find it, it's very rare) and soon to release pandora's tower. All AMAZING games.

I don't mind if they have one every year, and for the comments concerning waiting so developers can focus on one game: remember that the "Osaka Team" as i believe it is called, only developed KH1 and KH2. They've been stuck on Versus XIII since 2006. The other games were developed by a few different divisions. 358/2, BBS, and DDD were all primarily the same, and re:coded had its own division if I remember correctly. Now of course the top heads of the game are in every one such as the good ol' troll Nomura himself. But they still take lots of time to develop. Another good example of this is the Assassins Creed Franchise. They are on a new game every year basis now. It's not like AC4 was started after they finished AC3. 4 began development in like 2010 the same way they were already starting 3 before that. Different teams work on these games as part of a giant studio. If all of Square Enix worked on every game, the games would stink. Think of how many SE games have come out in the last 9 months or so and how many more are left for this year: Tomb Raider, KH3D, KHHD 1.5 (2.5 is also in development so you could even count it), Etrian oddessey, heroes of ruin, FF XIII Lightning Returns, Dragon quest, and several others too. Basically, a game a year is no problem for me

Nomura already said he would be. This is the Xehanort Saga. Once Xehanort is defeated for good, they will move on to the new saga but nomura already said sora would continue to be the hero

Ooh this is a tough one... 1.5 is gonna be amazing because it has the original game. But 2.5 is gonna be amazing too because it will have KH2FM (tied with DDD for my second favorite) and BBSFM (my favorite). SO MANY positives for both. I think I will go with 2.5 though. I'm still getting 1.5 the day it comes out.

I dont mind Xion but she is definitely forced in spots. And I would have loved to play as members of the organization more.

Yeah they did, but I don't see that as a problem because it does take place after KH1. No, it technically doesnt fit the body anymore, and it is a sudden voice change, but I know personally, my voice changed suddenly. there was no cracking, it was just lower. So it doesnt really bother me. I am just so nostalgic towards the first game's voices, I think it would be bad if they revoiced it. Some games it works, some it does not. I think KH1 would not work. Considering this is supposed to be bringing back the original, they updated the music because the system is capable of live music sounds now, but the original voices made the game what it was. They have such an emotion in them that specifically Haley Joel would not be able to replicate with his current voice. It would portray a slightly different emotion. This is my favorite scene in all of KH1. The emotion in sora's voice is so perfect and it fits him as a child after everything he has been through. Changing it would change the whole game.

That is is his voice. It's the original younger (pre-voice change) haley joel osment. Thank god they kept it. The KH1 voices are awesome. They fit the characters. Older sora voice wouldnt make sense in it because sora IS ACTUALLY younger in KH1. It makes sense in the others because he is older or data sora. Interestingly though, they are keeping Billy Zane's voice.

Plus PSP is already in 16:9 format, so that's one less transition they have to do in the change. and PSP used very similar graphics engines to ps2, making it no harder than upgrading a PS2 game to HD

Why on earth do people want sora's voice redone? He's a kid!!! why would he have an older voice??? it makes NO sense. in re: COM, he has moved on from KH and hes going through all these wacky memory changes, a vocal change honestly doesnt seem that out of place. and then in re: coded, he's not even real. If anyone should change, maybe (BIG MAYBE) Ansem, only because they never used Billy Zane again. but young sora should still sound like young sora. I think it would ruin the game if they changed Sora's voice.

Everyone keeps forgetting that there were KH X [chi] bonuses included in the japanese Pre-orders of KH 1.5 HD Remix. It will be out in japan very soon. And they are obviously already working on HD 2.5, they likely started as soon as they finished 1.5, now that the localization team has probably taken over 1.5. [chi] is not actually part of the story, and shouldnt be included in the KH per year thing. Now unless the recent rumors of Versus XIII coming out this summer are true, KH 3 seems hard to believe that it could have a 2015 release. and with 2.5 presumably in 2014, it will be interesting to see what happens.

Yeah you are totally right, some ps2 games were still coming out in 2011. mainly sports and movie games, but they were still coming out. Sony already guaranteed PS3 support through 2015 minimum. So I agree it should definitely be out on both PS3 and PS4.

This is a good idea! I think that would make a lot of sense. Gives it more time as a newer game, and also gives SE time to figure out how to move over the touchscreen functions to a console without a touchscreen (unless they release it on playstation 3/4 and wii u). Cool thinking!

probably the same way they did 358/2 days. due to the drastic difference in engine capabilities of the DS and PS3, it will again be easier to make the DS game into cutscenes. And to be honest, it might end up being better than the game in the first place... As for why DDD isnt in it, there are only a couple possible reasons I can think of: 1. its too new. Its only been out for a year in japan, only 8 months in other regions 2. they need more time to figure out the touch screen transition, since the PS3 obviously does not have one. Its not an issue port over games from the 3DS, as mentioned above, Resident Evil Revelations is in that process now. The difference between DS and 3DS is greater than people realize, considering the 3DS can utilize game engines that are equal to and more powerful than those on both the PSP and PS2. So its just a coding architecture change for PS3, and remaster of graphics. The 3D can even be kept since PS3 can have 3D. Honestly I just think the game is too new.
