  1. All the way back on Destiny Islands. I was an awful keyblade wielder.
  2. I'd say Saix just because of the listed members whose backstories we actually know about, he seems like the only one who wasn't an awful person before becoming a Nobody.
  3. Those guys are Sora's kids if I ever saw 'em.
  4. Things like this is why I get legit sad when people just accuse him of being franchise-milking hack. Well okay, he's kinda milking the franchise but he does it because people enjoy the games and he enjoys making them. I don't get why people want him to stop, especially when $100K worth of charity is involved.
  5. Nope, the 27th, which incidentally is how old I now am. Oh god I'm so old.
  6. When I need a guide or information, I prefer a general walkthrough with no commentary, unless that commentary is VERY informed and the voice doesn't annoy me -- RohamMythril my go-to example for this if you've heard of him. I watch LPs when I just wanna have some fun, but I'm very very VERY picky about who I watch. Back then, when I mainly used gameplay videos as guides, I thought peoples' commentary got in the way of the experience and just wanted them to shut up. But then I caught whiff of PewDiePie's videos, and even though I stopped watching him after a while, it was the first time I realized that commentary can actually be entertaining. Right now I mainly just watch Markiplier and the Game Grumps, along with a few miscellaneous channels, and I think I'm picky because being a good LPer (rather, being an LPer I'd want to watch) is hard to pull off. Some people just aren't that great at talking, have a voice you don't particularly enjoy listening to, aren't good or at least entertaining as a gamer, or some combination. One of the main reasons I watch LPers like Markiplier and the Grumps is that I actually enjoy listening to them. Markiplier admittedly was an acquired taste. I though his voice was too, well, powerful for the kinds of spooky atmospheric games he tends to play, but since I was interested in the games themselves, I gave more of his videos a chance and I've stuck with him since. And the Grumps aren't that great of gamers while on the camera, but their commentary usually makes up for it unless they're really messing around.
  7. Birthday wishes from Lea. I am now blessed. *-*

    You you thank!
  9. Apparently a clown was spotted at my old university. They're migrating.
  10. I remember when I was just a Legendary. Now I'm somehow a Keyblade Master. Such hax, I don't even have a keyblade.
  11. Moral of the story: cars are evil, let's get rid of 'em.

  17. Birthday happy! May your dreams be filled with the lovely sounds of Kefka's laughter.
  18. GarlandTheGreat is a skilled player who's done many challenge runs primarily for VII and X, but I think he has a few other FFs/games in there too.
  19. Sure, but at this point I've just learned to just roll with them. Things like the retcons usually didn't bother me (in some cases, are even preferable to what was established before), or I can at least tolerate them for the sake of following the story... like the time travel thing. Really wish that one didn't happen, but what can we do? At least Nomura writing by the seat of his pants is giving us a wild adventure.
  20. How can one say that death in KH is meaningless if pretty much no one has technically 'died' to begin with? If anything, folks are just temporarily displaced, whether by merging with someone or having their heart in hibernation or what have you. I understand if someone feels the emotional impacts are cheapened because consequences don't seem permanent, but that just makes me direct my emotional investment to other areas. Even if we as the audience know someone will be fine, a character will not, and their reactions can be where we get our investment from. Like many others, I do want Roxas and co. to come back, because I feel like their stories aren't done yet. It didn't feel like proper closure to me. No, deaths don't have to be satisfying and Simple and Clean, but killing someone off when it feels like there's so much more to be done with them can make fans want for more... except Roxas and the others weren't even technically killed off. Even at the end of KH2 they're shown to have some kind of remaining presence inside Sora and Kairi. And even after spoiling myself silly about the story (I didn't get into the series until a little before BBS came out) and therefore knowing what happens ahead of time, I still didn't think Roxas's story was done. Or, I could've grudgingly accepted it, but KH feels like a game that wants to give proper closure to things. There's nothing wrong with such a direction in an overall lighthearted series, and I mean, it is 50 percent Disney.
  21. The mommy is clearly Kairi. Or Riku. Or maybe it's good ol' Nomura.
  22. Be honest, if you didn't know any better, wouldn't you think Lann looks like he comes straight from a KH game? This is Sora's kid if I ever saw one. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/File:WoFF_Lann_Artwork.png
  23. The only one that springs to mind is FFVII, though that's not completely true. I've gotten bored with the vanilla game after many many many playthroughs over the years, and I've since turned to mods to bring something fresh to the table without making me rely on self-imposed challenges. I never did have fun with things like a 'no materia' challenge. That's what makes the gameplay fun for me!
  24. One of 'em would be Zephyr, because yay theme naming.
