  1. It was something like that, yeah. Toonami just has rights to Season 1 as far as I know, that's how I'm watching it. Those 3 episodes were just test dubs from what I've heard, they haven't started on the proper dub yet. If it takes too long after Toonami finishes Battle Tendency, I might just go for subs at that point.
  2. I just got to the part where the Pillar Man woke up and started attacking. He seems like a much more interesting villain than Straitzo was. I've heard a lot of great things about Stardust Crusaders, so I'm really looking forward to that one. The only problem is that from what I've heard, the dub hasn't started for that yet, so I'll have to wait a while after Battle Tendency... Unless Toonami immediately follows up with that somehow, anyway.
  3. I'm a few episodes in and I'm warming up to it more. I'm really glad that Straitzo (or however you spell it, I'm watching the dub so I don't get to see the spelling) was just a villain for a little bit, his turn just felt really pointless. That was what I was worried about, he didn't feel like a good follow-up to Dio at all. I've also heard this one's longer than Phantom Blood, which is good because that one felt too short.
  4. The Xeno series as a whole actually draws a lot from the Abrahamic religions. I haven't played enough of Xenosaga to be able to say for sure, but I've heard a lot about how it and Xenogears tie into various different religions, and Xenoblade has a lot of references to Gnosticism. There are theories that Xenoblade 2's going to use some Greek/Norse mythology as well.
  5. Poor Rose can never find a good travel partner. ;_;
  6. If you've played Hyrule Warriors or other Warriors games, it's going to be like that. It's just a spin-off, so whatever they do here won't have an impact on the main series Fire Emblem games. Hyrule Warriors had a fun story mode and the Adventure mode drew from the original Zelda's map system, so I'm sure that they'll do a good job of tying in some Fire Emblem elements to the established Warriors gameplay style.
  7. People were posting, the fight just hadn't initiated yet. To be perfectly honest, I agree with Firaga here. You're not really being a team player, all of your posts just seem long-winded and focused on how great your character is while you ignore the others. You keep trying to rush straight for the boss and take all the glory, and you keep trying to justify that by saying that you planned for us to do something else or that your character isn't that strong, but your posts don't communicate any of that. Your character comes off as being invincible and superior to everyone else. Yes, we do need to get moving past the boss battles. However, stealing everyone's thunder and trying to one-shot the boss isn't fun for the rest of us. When Firaga tried to communicate with you, you just got really hostile and acted like we're the problem. This is a group effort in the end, trying to steal the spotlight makes it tough for the others to get equal with your character and placing blame on others while ignoring constructive criticism is just going to create more conflict. We're here to have fun, it's not really a competition.
  8. But Akame's sword poisons anything it cuts, so that might not really be the best idea ._.
  9. It's on the 18th in North America and Europe, 19th in Japan and Australia (Going off of the listed time zones, not sure about anywhere else that I forgot to mention). That's what I meant by the time zone difference mistake I made.
  10. The time hasn't changed, it might just be a difference of time zones or something since I forgot to mention that in my post. Sorry about that... I found this, lists additional time zones for anyone else trying to figure it out: Source Sorry again for any confusion there, time zones completely slipped my mind on this one. ._.
  11. Alright. Sorry I'm behind, classes started back up today so I've been busy.
  12. Attention to anyone following the Xenoblade 2 Discussion Thread: Translations of the script fragments in the trailer are surfacing, and we've got some character names and plot details! Check it out here: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/103726-xenoblade-2-nintendo-switch-discussion-thread/?do=findComment&comment=1917718
  13. First-print NA copy of Xenoblade on the Wii. Also have the Breath of the Wild Special Edition pre-ordered, so that might be up there once it's out, too.
  14. http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda/images/a/ac/Makar.png/revision/latest?cb=20081011031652 Fulfill your destiny, Maka
  15. No Maka, you need to play WW. ;_; Besides, your name is almost in it. Maka and Makar are just one letter apart from each other.
  16. Fiora Fiora shuddered a little bit when Lucia butted into their conversation. Regardless of Eclaire urging her to not worry, Fiora's fears weren't easily abated. One of the other girls was half-succubus, too. Fiora was beginning to wonder if she'd ended up in the wrong group... Wait. Eclaire... sh-she was Lucia's ruler once? And Zion? Does that mean... She's one of them, too? Fiora shuffled a little further away from Eclaire, trying to seem inconspicuous. She knew better than to make a scene given the circumstances, but sharing a room with three of those monsters was making her even more worried. It seemed like it was time for group introductions, so she decided to go ahead and speak up. Maybe it would mask her fear. "I'm... Fiora Fulmen. I grew up with my father, until... s-something happened, and I've lived on my own in Kalace since then... That's all," she lowered her head again. She'd never really had to share her past, and she didn't want to go into detail on any of it. She also thought that it might help to not explain that her life was ruined by a succubus, given how many she seemed to be involved with now. It seemed like a risky move to make. Rose Rose's cheeks took on a light shade of pink as Zion listed off a few of the more interesting people in the room, specifically when she described Rose. I usually don't get that kind of attention, especially from a Queen... However, her face quickly returned to its normal shade as she began to introduce herself. "I am Rose Brunhild. I've dedicated myself towards fighting to protect the innocent and my fellow warriors for most of my life now. I've been all over the place, so there aren't a whole lot of specific stories I can tell about myself," she gave a little laugh before continuing. "I've trained with a sword and have healing powers, so if anyone needs help, let me know. I'd be glad to assist you. As for anything else... I don't have a family I can talk about, or anything like that... I do enjoy art, however." Rose never really wanted to bring anyone down as she told her life story, so she tended to skip on the details of the bloody war she'd been forced into as a child or anything of the sort. Just sticking to the basics seemed to help. If anyone wanted specific details, she wouldn't mind sharing her stories, but there were a lot of introductions to get in now.
  17. The comment about it being "saddening" that people play for the gameplay made that seem like a bad thing.
  18. I feel like people on the internet are just focusing solely on the negative aspects of the system and ignoring all of the great things the Switch has to offer. Negativity gets more attention, I suppose. I'm excited, and everyone else in my gaming group is as well. It's not perfect (I'm still kind of upset about how expensive additional controllers are), but I've got mine pre-ordered along with the Breath of the Wild Special Edition and can't wait until March 3. The 2017 lineup is fantastic, and I can't wait to see what comes in its future.
  19. So I ended up starting watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure lately, and just finished Phantom Blood... Not really sure how I feel about the start of Battle Tendencies, though. It's not bad, but... I don't know, just getting a little concerned.
  20. Is there anything wrong with playing games for the gameplay? If I just wanted story then I'd watch a playthrough or something like that. Gameplay is what I consider most important in a game, if I'm not having fun then I don't want to spend hours playing through it just for the occasional cutscene. Not to say I don't appreciate a good story, I'm a writer and all, but I want to have fun when I play something.
  21. Even I, the unnamed new hero of the Monado(?), concur on that.
  22. Okay, if you put it that way then yeah That's fine.
  23. Fiora The girl was a little startled when one of the other women in the group came up and spoke to her. There was a lot that she wanted to say: she wasn't just shy, she was terrified and holding back tears. She wanted to let loose with her emotions, but couldn't. Not here, not when she'd made an effort to become stronger. She sucked it up and remained as composed as she could. Lucia... is that the succubus...? She wondered; she did seem like the least trustworthy person of the group, even ignoring her species. Zion also seemed a little suspicious to Fiora, but she kept quiet on that matter. "I'm... Fiora. Fiora Fulmen," she introduced herself to Eclaire, unsure of what to say next. "Lucia... you knew her before this happened?"
  24. But she's like 12 ._. at least i think she is
