Have you attended a Kingdom Hearts related event at an anime convention?
The con I host a panel at is called Anime Banzai, and it takes place in northern Utah. I also sell there at an artist alley table sometimes (but I forgot to sign up for one this year x_x). I met Quiton Flynn at AniMegaCon's first run, but I met him a second time at a minor gaming convention hosted by my school. (Like, so minor I don't even know if it will happen again.) Man, you live so close to Fanime?! That's awesome! My sister occasionally gets a table there, but I'm too small fry to go... T_T

I hosted a panel at a local convention; hope to get back again this year. I've also met Quinton Flynn, but I was more focused on Metal Gear than Kingdom Hearts. (Although I did have him sign a picture of Axel I drew.)

Have you been deeply inspired by anything from Kingdom Hearts?
Some of these polls really need to be check boxes rather than radio buttons….

Have you ever had a dream related to the KH series?
Link and Soraたち were having an epic fight, and Link used a light arrow on Sora but it didn't work. Confused, Sora shot a beam of light at Link also to no effect. Afterwards, he was like "why are we fighting let's be friends" and they shook hands and I woke up. It probably started as a 'who would win in a fight' sort of simulation, and the result was 'why would they be fighting'. There's also this, but I think those are the only major ones I've had.

Which of the three protagonists from Birth by Sleep do you expect to see 'rescued' by Sora in KH III first?
In favor of Aqua first: they already know where Aqua is (so Master Yen Sid implies). In favor of Ventus second: Mickey thinks he might somehow be related to Sora in some way, but only Aqua knows where his body is. In favor of Terra last: he's in three pieces, and none of the protagonists knows where any of them are. Also, wasn't Riku supposedly the one in charge of finding them?
- Every single freaking time I go to sleep, I wake up and I find someone famous is dead. RIP Leonar...

Master Xehanort, Leonard Nimoy, and Chikao Otsuka
Having just heard about the death of Leonard Nimoy, all I can say is that he lived long and prospered. This year has seen the deaths of both Chikao Ōtsuka and Leonard Nimoy, and while Master Xehanort may not have been one of the greatest people in the world, these two men who provided his voice sure were. If you could, would you change anything in the storyline of the KH games released so far?
I'd only fix a few of the translation errors (such as Roxas' last line to Xion). …Maybe also make time travel make more sense (or at least have it be explained better) ¬_¬

Some odd glitch is happening to my copy of Dream Drop Distance.
The best thing I can suggest is to try and clean off the cartridge's contacts (w/ rubbing alcohol), but if that doesn't work then there's probably not much else you can do.

Some odd glitch is happening to my copy of Dream Drop Distance.
The only kind of glitch I've seen in DDD is where a Dream Eater will rotate 90° backwards but otherwise act normal. Although these glitches are certainly curious ones…. In terms of the first glitch: when you kill enemies and they go into a T-pose, does it happen instantly or do they sort of slide to it? And does every enemy do it or just some of them? Also, have you noticed anything in common that happens when you get really hurt, or is it literally random? What sort of things are you doing when it happens? And does it kill you, or just reduce your health to 1HP?

Small World: KH13 Writing Contest Submission
Author's note: Have you ever watched the Japanese intro of Birth by Sleep? Non-Final Mix? That version of the opening scene with Young Xehanort on the beach has nearly identical framing as a shot of Riku on the same beach with Terra later in the game. That parallelism led me to the notion that Riku might've turned out a lot like Xehanort were it not for one key difference: his friend, Sora. Enjoy~! Why did I have to be born with silver hair? They say it's a curse. That I'm cursed. For all I know maybe I am. All the people in this tiny world sure treat me like I am. Every face I see I've seen a hundred times. Different people, but it's always the same face: hate. They try to hide it sometimes, but… adults don't realize just how bad they are at lying. The usual empty stares follow the young boy as he walks alone to school. Shuffling along, his white hair nearly brushes up against the top of his backpack. "Just keep walking—ignore them. Don't bother them and they won't bother you." The best advice I ever got. You'd think I'd've gotten used to it by now. After all, one gets to see the same people every day. This town is just too small. A large building—only two stories tall but very wide—comes into view as the boy rounds the corner. The local school. Many children make their way inside, the occasional parent towering over them. Bet this won't end well. Stuff like this never does. The boy begrudgingly shuffles inside the school. Despite his relative tall-ness, he tries to make himself inconspicuous. "Hey, it's that cursed kid!" Gee, that sure didn't take long! Just ignore him. Don't make eye contact. "Huh, I guess he's deaf, too!" He glares in his bully's direction before he catches himself. Too late. "Got a problem, old man?" The bully roughly slams his victim into a locker. The boy's arm is shoved into a handle, leaving his hand no choice but to drop his backpack. Both it and its contents clatter to the floor. They say starting fights isn't worth the effort, else I'd deck him. "Well?" His buddies, all shorter than him, snicker as he continues to pin his quarry to the wall, pain shooting up the boy's arm arm. Don't make eye contact. It'll only antagonize him. He shakes head. "Didn't think so!" Satisfied, the bully lets him go. Slumping to the floor, arm a little unresponsive now, the silver-haired boy reach for his bag. "Oops, sorry!" The bully's voice calls out, his foot imbedding itself into the backpack, flinging it a good distance away from its owner. The bully and his lackeys laugh as they move on, leaving the boy essentially alone in the locker room. Finally. Picking up the bag, the boy look around for the stuff that used to be inside it: his lunch, a pencil case, and two books. I can't help but be a little impressed at how for that kid managed to knock away some of these, to be honest—I can't even see where the second book went…. A pair of shoes walk towards him. Glancing up, the first thing he notices is that this other kid's got his book. Looking a little bit too happy, this newcomer offers him the book. "This is yours, right?" "Uh… uh-huh." Don't make eye contact, the boy's mind tells him. He grabs the book from the cheerful kid's hands, shoves it into his bag, then quickly heads to his assigned classroom. Let's see… which one was it again? Footsteps behind him. Stopping, he turns to find the cheerful kid behind him. The kid's missing something important though. "Hey, don't you want your backpack?" "What?" he says with a little too much surprise. The kid spins his head around to find his own backpack resting on a stool where he mush have set it. "Oops, I guess I forgot about it. Thanks!" He smiles. A smile? Haven't seen one of those in…. The cheerful kid leaves, and the silver-haired boy finds himself waiting for him. What's up with this kid? Hurried footsteps come back around the corner. "So what classroom are you in?" the kid asks, seemingly genuine-like. "Why?" Rather than answering his question, the kid merely says, "Mine's 4A." It's the same as his. …Wait, am I making eye contact? The boy's instincts turn his head away, but he still responds. "Mine too." "Woah, cool! We should sit next to each other!" What, why? This kid's sure got a weird way of making friends. …Making… friends. With me? That'd certainly be a first. The silver-haired boy looks back at his classmate. Well, I guess he seems genuine enough. "Yeah, alright." "Awesome!" The kid's overgrown smile returns. Running up beside him, the pair head down the hall towards the room 4A. Apparently. "Oh wait, I almost forgot!" The cheerful kid moves ahead of him. "My mom says you're supposed to tell your name when you meet someone new." He reaches out his hand. "I'm Sora!" Near-speechless, he looks at the kid's outstretched hand. I gotta say, this kid sure is blunt, isn't he? His arm moves forward and their eyes meet. "Riku," he says. Sora grabs his hand and shakes it up and down with vigor. "Riku, huh? Race you to the classroom, Riku!" Then, suddenly (to Riku's surprise, although he should've expected it after what the kid had just said) Sora bolts off down the hall. What's up with guy? "Hey, we're not supposed to run in the halls!" Sora skids to a halt, then scratches his head, laughing. "Oops, I guess I'm just so excited. The first day of school and I already met someone cool!" 'Someone cool,' huh? __________________________________________________________________ "So, what do you wanna do?" Why is this kid still talking to me? He stayed pretty quiet during class, but now… "Nothing in particular. I just want to go home." "Why?" "It's not like there's anything else to do around here. This world is just too small." "'Too small'?!" He shakes his head. "I've got just the thing for you! It's really cool. Wait 'till you see it!" I don't think he has any bad intentions, but… he's starting to annoy me. Riku shrugs. "Maybe later, okay?" He picks up his pace. "Well, look who it is. If it ain't the grandpa!" Riku stops. So does Sora. The bully (whose name Riku has discovered is Zell) is standing right in their path, lackeys beside him. I guess I can't ignore him this time… not like it worked the first time anyway. "What do you want?" Riku asks as blandly as he can, trying not to pick a fight. "I thought I'd walk you home, old man," he says, giving an eerie smile. "After all, you seem to have a bit of trouble walking!" He punctuates this with with a sharp kick. Riku's leg falls out from underneath him and his face nearly hits the ground. I can't believe he went to so far as to attack me outright! He takes a deep breath and get up to find Sora's fist planted into Zell's head. Riku's jaw drops. Didn't think he had it in him, to be honest. "Why you gotta be so mean to Riku?!" Sora demands. Sora's fist didn't seem to pack much of a punch. He only made the bully stumble a little, more surprise on his face than pain. "What the heck, man?!" He readies a hand and firmly decks Sora, knocking him over. This time, Riku finds his own fist meeting Zell's face. Much to Riku's surprise, as much as Zell's. The bully spins, falling flat to the ground. He gasps, a hand reaching up to his face where Riku hit. "Alright, man, you win!" he whimpers, pretty pathetically. Confidence within him, Riku takes a step towards him. "Aah!" Zell scampers off, his buddies following pathetically behind him. After a few moments, Sora looks up at Riku. "Hey, you okay?" "Am I okay? You're the one who got punched." He helps his friend off the ground. "Honestly, yours was pretty pathetic though…." He looks up at Riku and smiles, face a little roughed up. How can he smile like that all the time? "To tell you the truth, I usually wouldn't dare to try. Zell scares me too much!" "Oh?" I could totally see this kid being too scared to act out like that. "What was different this time?" He shrugs. "I dunno…" The least informative thing I've ever heard him say. Sora's face lights up, as though he got an idea. "Now c'mon, lemme show you the island!" "What?" The way this kid's mood maintains its positivity, it's like the fight with Zell never happened. Does this kid have a one track mind or what? Wait a sec… "Did you say 'island'?" "Yeah!" Eagerly, he points towards the shore. "My dad's a fisherman, and sometimes he rows me out to that island over there. You should totally come, it's a cool place!" "Huh…" That's actually something I've always wanted to do. Riku had never thought something like that was an option for him—he could never get up the nerve to ask any of the fishermen. Not with the way they stare at him. Eyes full of hate… I wonder if this Sora kid's dad will be like that, too…? Riku turns to Sora, whose face is still beaming. "Maybe… tomorrow?" "Alright, it's a promise!" "Hold on…" "See you tomorrow, Riku!" Then, off he goes, in the direction of the beach. If his dad's a fisherman, then I guess it makes sense he'd live close to the shore. Riku's eyes drift towards the island in the distance.

There's One Thing I don't Understand in MGS3 Subsistence HD
I don't know about the boss rush and Snake vs. Monkey removals, but I do know that Kojima didn't know about the vampire-zombie dream-minigame until after the game's release, so he probably had that one removed. They also took out the Secret Theater though, which makes me sad T_T

Can anyone with experience on Blender recommend a decent video tutorial?
How about this one: http://cgcookie.com/blender/lessons/creating-rudolph-the-red-nosed-reindeer-part-1/ He moves a little fast, but the keystrokes he does get displayed.

Can anyone with experience on Blender recommend a decent video tutorial?
It's quite a list to comb through, but blendernation.com is a good place to start. Specifically: http://www.blendernation.com/category/education/tutorials/videotutorials/ I don't know what kind of tutorial you're looking for, but hopefully this helps. ^_^

What did you think about HD 2.5 ReMIX's cover artwork?
For some reason, it seems less well designed to me than I.5's cover. I could ramble as to what that reason is, but I don't want to… well, ramble x_x Also, I agree with khdayskh1314—everybody (sans Xehanort) looks really, really young for some reason. Especially that Re:coded Riku. He looks like he's eight!

Kingdom Hearts Requires Disney Knowledge?
The only Disney movie that's in Kingdom Hearts I that I had seen before playing the game for the first time was… Hercules. The only Disney movies that are in KH2 that I'd seen before playing the game were Hercules, Beauty and the Beast, and the Lion King. Not having a childhood, I'd never seen those movies as a kid and being the youngest sibling I never watched my siblings watch any. The only reason I'd seen Beauty and the Beast was 'cause I was in the play production and decided to watch the original movie afterwards. I agree in a small part though; pretty much everybody knows who Mickey Mouse is, even if you've never seen him in anything. Ditto with Donald and Goofy. Even if you haven't seen most of the Disney movies, you've probably heard of their existence subconsciously. Personally, I liked coming at it from the other way: having Kingdom Hearts be my gateway into the Disney universe. I have (since playing the games) watched every Disney movie and short referenced by Kingdom Hearts except for Aladdin II and Chicken Little (but I never summon Chicken Little, so I don't care ). Coming at it from this direction, you get weird stuff like, "oh my gosh who's this weird 'Christopher Robin' kid who's hanging out with Winnie the Pooh," or "wow I totally recognize this backdrop from the game and that chest in the background has some puppies in it." Then you get stuff like 'who's this guy handing out with this other guy,' or 'wow Maleficent moves around a lot when she talks.' In fact, as someone who had hardly seen any Disney anything, I was really impressed while playing KH1 for the first time that they could essentially plop you into any random context it wanted and still be able to get decent story out of it. I hadn't particularly liked Disney (particularly recent-ish Disney when they started budget cuts), and I had never played a Final Fantasy game before, but there was something about Kingdom Hearts that just… clicked.

Chapters 41, 42, 43, 44 & 45 of Kingdom Hearts II manga scanned and translated
Some of the pages are out of order… they're at the beginning instead of wherever they're supposed to be. But if you download them page-by-page, they'll be correct.

Do you have a favorite game series?
Oh my gosh METAL GEARRRRRRRRR~ *High fives* ...Although in my case Zelda'd be on that list too.
-
Do you count how many games you own for your consoles/ handhelds?
I count how many different copies of Ocarina of Time I have (for different platforms, of course) but I don't think that counts. Ahh~ha ha ha! "Counts!" Get it?

I made Roxas sing! :D
So THIS is where you've been hiding, eh? ^_^ Great job nonetheless~!

Has the KH series ever taught you anything?
"I could write a book about that~!" Specifically though, I never really considered myself as having a childhood, emotionally. Plain, bland, emotionless, inexperienced, etc. Even up to when I got into Kingdom Hearts about three years ago I hadn't really seen any of the Disney classics either. But once I got into KH… it was sorta like getting a glimpse at what I'd missed, emotionally and technically. Since then, I've managed to view all Disney media referenced in the Kingdom Hearts series save Chicken Little (but I never summon him anyway ^_^)—gotten a chance to see how animation, storytelling, and technology have evolved over the years in the forms of some great and not-so-great media. Among other things of course, like what to do and what not to do in video game design. On a less serious note, I learned that if you bang your head against a wall (or, for instance, a boss fight) long enough you'll eventually succeed! That's what I learned from beating 358/2 Days with the Kingdom Key without ever having spoken to the moogle and taking over four hours to beat [the final boss'] final form from start to finish… x_x

What did you think of the new KHIII trailer?
I thought it was pretty, and certainly much more polished than the announcement trailer—especially if you compare the two trailers' Twilight Town level geometry. You can still tell though that it was thrown together to make the fans happy; many aspects reveal this, such as the behaviors of the Heartless, the things Donald and Goofy do (or rather don't do, especially when Donald gets out of the train), and the blending between the different animations Sora goes through. That's just me though. If so much of the back end still has to be decided, it's a wonder they manage to show of so much at all! I do think the inclusion of the Main Street Electrical Parade opens up a whole slew of possibilities though. And, again, it's certainly much more to go off of than the announcement trailer.
