  1. Quite honestly, I'd want all of these. Yes even the Nomura laughing one. All are sacred. X)"
  2. Uuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh, why are they trying to make me buy this game from multiple sources? I just want to get my pin and that's it, can't I just get the menu theme anyway? T3T" RIP me. T-T"""
  3. Birth by Sleep, I want to see some of that Vanitas character development the novel had in visual form.
  4. My dad already got me a ticket for the LA concert as a birthday present. I'm so excited, I just want it to be summer already! X3
  5. Maybe we'll actually learn if there really are any other slight adjustments apart from the framerate and graphics. I'm not expecting much at this point, but any tiny little thing counts.
  6. Still want that Unchained X phone cover. Nobody is even selling it on amazon or ebay. T_T"
  7. No, pretty sure he's getting them from Yen Sid, since that's how it's always worked (KH2, DDD). Heck, Yen Sid just gave Mickey and Riku their new clothes, it's more than likely that he's got a new look ready for Sora once he regains the power he lost. It's likely that Sora will be in his KH2 clothes for the entirety of the Mt. Olympus chapter, and once he reawakens his abilities he'll report back to Yen Sid and THEN be given new clothes to better channel those powers. Every other moment we've seen Sora with his new outfit was either in a different world or in the case of the new screenshots, later in the game when Sora has higher stats and returns to the world.
  8. All of them. I know, boring answer, but it's the truth, each one is awesome for different reasons.
  9. Okay, I think I get it now. Nomura wasn't referring to THIS form as "Power Form", he was just saying that the Keyblade could turn into a chariot in Power Form. So in Guard Form, this form right here, it turns into a shield. It's only while Sora is in Power Form that he can use it as a chariot. So this form is still called Guard Form.
  10. 1. Not really, each game is a self-contained story for the most part, they each take place in their own little world or universe or something. 2. Again, since there's no overall story, you can basically start and play anywhere. I haven't delved that much into the series yet myself, but I'd definitely say that the main numbered titles are for sure the most worth playing, so FF I - XV. 3. Some of the numbered titles do have their own spinoffs/sequels. FF III has it's original form and a DS remake that kind of reinterprets the story, FF IV has both a sequel AND a DS remake, FF VII...oh boy, where do I begin? There's the first prequel/midquel Before Crisis (but that was for mobile phones and they never released to a western market, so you're better off just watching a let's play or something), the true prequel Crisis Core, the short anime movie Last Order, the full CG movie Advent Children that is essentially the direct sequel to VII, and then finally there's Dirge of Cerberus, a sequel to both VII and Advent Children. And of course, the original VII is getting it's own remake for the PS4. Anyway, back to other titles. FF X has X-2, which is a direct sequel that's meant to bring closure to X's ending (there have also been rumors of a X-3 being in the works, but no official word on that yet). I think FF XI was supposed to be getting a remake/port to smart deveices of some sort, but I haven't heard anything on that yet. FF XII has it's own sequel for the DS, and of course FF XIII has it's two sequels, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns. FF XIV is constantly getting new updates and story quests and what not, and the only spin-off material that FF XV has currently is the Brotherhood anime, the Kingsglaive movie, the Justice Monsters 5 smart phone game (basically a pinball simulator), a game-within-a-game called King's Knight also for smart phones (still haven't heard anything on that, I don't think it's out yet), the digital exclusive title/prequel A King's Tale (really short sprite based hack-n-slash that's essentially a bedtime story), and the FF XV Platinum Demo which has a bit of a small narrative on it's own that works as a demo of FF XV's main gameplay. Really the only thing that you absolutely need to do is complete the main titles' stories, but if you wanted closure or an expanded experience on some plot points then the spinoffs/sequels/prequels certainly help with that, so again, up to you. 4. It really depends on how well you follow stories. The advantage to each FF game is that they are all self-contained, so you don't need to fret over the lore of one game in order to understand the others, unless you were playing one of their sequels. The only real time where the FF games all come together is in Dissidia Final Fantasy, and that's probably where it gets most convoluted as it's trying to tie it's own plot into FF I as well as the other main games to some extent. Otherwise, as long as you're fully engrossed in each title's story, you should be able to catch on fairly easily. The stories can still get pretty complex in their own rights, but again, you'd still have a bit of a simpler time piecing things together within a single game's story rather than several at once. So I guess comparatively it's a little easier to get than KH, but then again they can sometimes dive into ideas that not even KH has tried tampering with yet. 5. Most of the games follow a traditional RPG style of gameplay. I'm tempted to say Turn-Based but RPG buffs on here will probably correct me. I do know that most of the later games tend to follow a mostly ATB, or Active Time Battle, system. In a way it's a bit simpler than KH's style, but it has much much MUCH more menus involved, you're basically going through a bunch of lists for attacks, spells, items, etc. Fundamentally it's not too different from KH, as KH was mostly based off this model, you just don't have the ability to freely move during a battle, as all input is devoted towards commands that you get to do in each turn. FF I - VI is mostly "traditional" for the most part, with VII - XII having a more ATB style that made things a little more active. XIII tried to shake things up a bit in it's titles by introducing some more Action game elements, though it's still mostly Turn-Based/ATB, and FF XV is definitely much more Action-RPG styled like KH is. XV feels the closest to KH in terms of gameplay, as you have full control of your character's movements, you have basic attacks and combos as well as a magic/weapon selecting system and an easy free-hand method of executing dual attacks with your allies (basically think of FF XV and KH3 as sibling titles). Overall, the Final Fantasy series is a little bit of a departure from what you might be familiar with in KH, as it has a bit of a heavier emphasis on strategy, but in the end you'll find that you can adjust to it rather easily as a lot of the terminology and logic it has is still shared with KH (HP, Magic, Potions, EXP, etc.). Like I said, KH's gameplay is mostly based off of FF's, so it'll feel like you're playing half of KH. It's not as actiony as you'd probably prefer, but it's still pretty fun. 6. Again, it kind of depends on which one you play. I'd say their average pacing is about similar to a numbered KH title, if not a bit longer due to gameplay style and slight storytelling differences. Some titles like FF VII are so packed full of content that in the PS1 days they had to take up multiple disks, it's like you were playing 3 games as one! So yeah, to say the least, playing these games can be a bit of a test in endurance, but again, if you don't mind the pacing of KH, I think you'll adapt to these titles just fine. Just make sure you have a decent amount of spare time set aside for each day you play.
  11. Looks as though it's taking a page from KH2 and might have the option of using the shoulder buttons to go to another command menu. So maybe Defend and Summon have been moved to that? If not, I could easily see them making Defend get relegated to a button like in KH and Summon being part of the Materia menu. In any case, it's looking more and more promising.
  12. UPDATE: Okay, REALLY REALLY hope that this gets greenlit, because if Kearsley's latest comments are anything to go by, he's definitely got the right idea in mind for how to handle this series. Anime with Disney characters still in their iconic cartoon style? YES! Set in an alternate timeline that still mostly follows the main plots of each of the games? YES YES!! Would be set to air after KH3's eventual release? YES YES YES!!! Oh my gods Disney, PLLLLEEEEEEEEEASE make this happen! It would literally be the best thing you've ever done, it would be 10X more successful than Frozen, I am not even kidding! Please let dreams come true, just this once. I can live without seeing Galactic Kids Next Door or Danny Phantom 10 Years Later happening, as long as I can at least see THIS happen. T3T <3
  13. She's GORGEOUS, but how can it be 0.2 when they gave her Rainfell? Shouldn't she have Master Keeper?
  14. I thought it was called Guard Form? Oh well, it's still a cool screenshot. Hopefully this means we'll get to explore more of Thebes than just that one square...it wasn't even Thebes, it was a Town Near Thebes. Also, considering how Olympus Coliseum has literally been confirmed as the first world we go to, this all but confirms multiple visits to worlds' stories, unless that hulking brute of a Heartless is seriously supposed to be a regular field encounter (in which case, AWESOME). New clothes, new abilities, higher HP and tougher enemies, it's looking like at least a second visit to each world is possible, which I am excited for as it will allow for more time to pace the overall plot like KH2 did.
  15. Yeah that's about the tone I was hoping for. Still got some funny, but not in a way that clashes with it's overall darker tone. And in turn, the dark isn't too dark either. This could be what we've been looking for for a while. I mean, maybe that's still too soon to say, but I've seen little reason to be worried about this movie, and if Doug Walker, the freaking Nostalgia Critic, is actually interested in this movie, than you know that's probably a good sign. And this is a guy who barely cares about Power Rangers to begin with.
  16. Honestly, 2018 still sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Saying that it won't even come out in 2019 is just plain overreacting. Guys, this isn't another XV, they've been making actual progress with this title in a much shorter time frame than that game ever did in twice the time. Really if they still had like 30 job positions available, I would be more concerned. The fact that they're looking for one additional person right now feels more like one additional stepping stone was placed in front of us rather than 16 or whatever. Yeah games take take time to develop properly, but they don't usually take that long either, not when they're taking the steps that this title has been taking so far. I'd say for a guy who has to juggle multiple projects at once on any given year, Nomura has been doing us plenty of favors lately, so there's little reason to freak out about one job opening being listed right now.
  17. There's honestly an infinite number of questions I could ask him, most of them KH based, though I'd love to hear the answer to any of these. I'd laugh if he answered that he'd love to do a collaboration with Kojima some day. The masters of ridiculously spread-out and complex plots, I'd love to see what kind of monstrous masterpiece they would come up with together, lol. X)"
  18. Well in the grand scheme of things, they may not have been as significant as Ansem's original 6 apprentices were. Really the only new additions that were worth focusing on were Isa, Lea, and Sora/Roxas. Everyone else seemed to either be too weak or not trustworthy enough to be considered for the new Org. But then again, it's not like we never saw them. For all we know they might actually be some of the remaining members of the new Org who haven't revealed their faces yet. I mean in KH3, we already know we get to fight Nobodies again, and the one they showed off seemed to be very heavily flower-inspired, and there's really only one former Org member that fits that bill. But again, the indication seemed to be that Marluxia just wasn't trustworthy enough for the new Organization, he may even be able to resist Xehanort's influence with his own will like Terra can. But why else would there be a seemingly Marluxia-led Nobody to fight in this new adventure? I guess it could just be because Xemnas has command over all Nobodies and is just now deciding to use every force in his arsenal, but then why wouldn't Nomura just come out and say that straight away, it wouldn't really be giving away too much if he did. Anyway, my point here is that since these guys were new recruits, who they were before becoming Nobodies may not have been that significant in the grand scheme of things when you compare against the original 6-8 members from Radiant Garden. There might be signs that point at them returning in some form or another in KH3, but even if they don't, I'm confident that we may end up seeing them again at some point in the series, since while they don't factor in that much story-wise, they still have a decent fan-following, and of course the end goal of any Organization XIII fan is to finally find out just what everyone's original name was anyway and what they were doing before getting thrown into Xehanort's mess. Answers will come, but how soon? Hard to say, guess we'll have to wait.
  19. Interesting, seems like they're going for the more streamlined simple window aps menu approach everyone else is doing, along with an almost instantaneous startup too. It's nice to have a more consistent aesthetic among all three 8th Gen consoles now, makes it a lot more user friendly and accessable to anyone.
