Riku is the only character
Um, pretty sure Sora matches that count, he's in at least 2 cutscenes in every Kingdom Hearts game. Unless flashbacks aren't cutscenes to you, but I'd say that counts just as much as any other appearance.

Mother Gothel will (might) be important to KH3's plot (partially)
I really doubt it. Each world has their own sense of time, as explained in Dream Drop Distance during a conversation between Riku and Joshua. Hundreds of years for Corona might not exactly be hundreds of years for the rest of the worlds. Plus, she really seems like the last person I would ever expect to know of the Keyblade War just simply by being "old enough". Sure, Triton knew of the Keyblade, but he's a freaking son of a god and a king of the ocean, it makes sense for him to be aware of otherworldly matters like the Keyblade, other worlds, and the Keyholes. If Ariel was a Princess of Heart, he'd probably be twice as overprotective than he already is. Mother Gothel just doesn't come across to me as being the same kind of person where it would make sense for them to know of this much. Not to mention some other characters are probably around a similar age like Yen Sid and Merlin, and yet they still only know of the Keyblade War as a legend (though I guess this could just also mean they aren't as old as they let on, I guess...?). Point is, I'm just not getting that vibe from her. Yes, theoretically if she existed long enough to go from the Age of Fairy Tales to today odds are she would have been around to see it (that is, if we're assuming that every world in it's present form also existed as separate areas of the same world as Daybreak Town, but so far they haven't gone as far to suggest that), but does she really seem like the kind of character who would naturally have that knowledge, let alone even care enough to remember it? I don't think so, it doesn't make sense like it does with Triton, even if she was around for it, it likely didn't concern her. Besides, they tend to be pretty particular about which Disney characters get to be integral or even somewhat integral to the plot. It's usually just the main-series Mickey cast and more classic iconic characters like Yen Sid and Maleficent, from a marketing perspective that also makes more sense.

Which worlds do you think Sora (and co.) should transform in?
Not really, there's already humans in this world, and Sora fits in perfectly fine as a human. Really I think making him a monkey would have been too much too soon, especially for an early world such as that in the first Kingdom Hearts game. Aside from Zootopia, I think only Princess and the Frog would be necessary, but then again you could just shrink Sora and co. down to the size of frogs instead of actual frogs themselves. Zootopia I only have trouble with because of the fact that Donald and Goofy are already pretty anthropomorphic. Is there a rule that they HAVE to transform with Sora in any world he changes appearance in, because at that point I feel changing up two anthropomorphic animal characters to match Sora having to fit in with a bunch of other anthropomorphic animal characters would just be too redundant. If they can just make an exception to the formula and just let Sora be the only one who transforms in this case, then I'd be fine with it.

Actual or Approximate Ages of BBS Trio
Just 100? Geez, that's barely even enough time for a war like that to turn into legend. WWI is over 100 years old now, and it's not like it's been lost to time or anything, how the hell am I supposed to buy that the Keyblade War happened only about a handful of generations ago!?

Shouldn't Roxas look like Sora and Ventus?
Actually as of KH 2.5, Roxas' model has been updated to resemble Sora's face a bit better, so now any time someone says "you look just like him", he actually does, lol. So yeah, NOW he does have elements from both Sora and Ventus. But the fact is that his body is that way because when Sora lost his heart, Ven's heart stayed behind in his body, thus his body was shaped to look like Ventus it became Roxas. That's why Roxas looks and sounds mostly like Ventus, because the heart shapes the body. So even if they didn't add that facial detail to make him look a bit more like Sora, it would still make sense that he still resembles Ven more than Sora, since that's whose heart is in there anyway. But he is by no means Ven with amnesia, he's still Sora's Nobody and his own person as the result of being a separate entity from Sora, it just so happens that he has somebody else's heart within himself instead of a heart of his own that he maybe could have grown given enough time. But yeah, point is 2.5 fixed that problem, so now he looks like both Ven AND Sora. Go ahead, compare the 2.5 models yourself, they're pretty dead-on. Though even then, Ven and Sora still have pretty similar looking faces. Not the exact same, but similar enough for Aqua to call a younger Sora "the spitting image of Ven". And yeah, somebody already brought up a good point that I've considered for a while about Namine, in that since she couldn't form from Kairi naturally, her appearance is based somewhat off of Kairi while having traits of Ven mixed in there, at least as far as hair color goes. The only bit of Sora I can see in her is her powers to affect his memories and also the fact that Sora's body was the catalyst for her formation. Though what's strange is that Sora's body became Roxas, and Kairi still kept her body because she was a Princess, so the fact that Namine has a body of her own despite there technically not being any left is rather unusual, but then again she was essentially born from 3 different people entirely while still being the Nobody of a Princess of Heart, so her circumstances are unique enough that I can buy her just magically getting a body of her own out of nowhere like that.

Actual or Approximate Ages of BBS Trio
First off, keep in mind that is a wiki entry, it's not exactly the same thing as an official statement from Square Enix. It's something made by another fan on this site who is in charge of making those entries, so they may have assumed that it was a century, but I specifically recall Nomura saying the events of X/Unchained X take place at least 1000 years before KH1. I don't remember which interview it was specifically, if anyone can help me source that, that would be great. But no, a century was never stated by any official source at any point, I've never heard that before until now, and I tend to be pretty on top of keeping up with official sources half the time. My point is however much time has passed since X up to 0.2 is kind of irrelevant when it comes to Ven's exact age in my opinion. All you have to know is that he is biologically 15 years old now and he has chronologically been around for a while, UNLESS he was thrown forward in time (what I'm honestly hoping for) rather than just being comatose for hundreds of years, then he would still have only existed for 15 years plus the 11 additional years he's spent asleep in the Chamber of Waking. And no, it sounds as though the events of Union Cross are happening directly after Unchained, unless they have a scene later that explains some weird time thingy happening. And again, I just want to stress that no one other than Riku can be confirmed to be 16 at this point. Unless they say otherwise, Sora is still to be considered 15 years old, with Riku being 1 year older than Sora, and Sora and Kairi being the same age. There's no 15-16 range because no other alternative age has been suggested by Square yet, it's just 15 until they outright say otherwise.

Actual or Approximate Ages of BBS Trio
You're thinking a bit harder about it than you need to if you ask me, but in general, Ven is the youngest. Yeah he came from the age of fairy tales originally, but we don't quite know what situation has happened that would have placed him in the more modern era just yet. Physically speaking, he's roughly around 15 or so by the time BBS's main events start happening (Mark of Mastery exam, Xehanort disappearing, etc.), since he pretty much resembles Roxas around that age. The events that led him to lose his Darkness, Vanitas, must have happened around 4 years prior, because he later connects his heart with that of a newborn Sora. The main events of BBS are confirmed to take place 10 years before the events of KH1, and Sora was 14 in KH1, so that would mean that he is 4 by the time he meets Terra and Aqua, which would mean that he was born 4 years prior to that. So keeping in mind Ven's relative age at that point, Ven would have been 4 years younger, so around 11 years old or so. He doesn't look too different because I guess they didn't want to make a preteen model or something since he already looks pretty youthful anyway, just remove some parts of his armor. If nothing else, you can at least say that Ven is physically 15 years old. The Keyblade War actually is at least 1000 years old...maybe more...hopefully more, I think 1000 is still a bit too recent in history to be honest. Point is, it took place thousands of years ago, your first assumption is not wrong. If a thing did happen with Ven where he was comatose for that passing period of time or something, then he'd only be hundreds of years old in the same sense that Aang from Avatar is technically 112 years old since that's how many years he's lived on the planet, he just spent the majority of them frozen in ice. Though personally, I'm hoping that he just gets spirited away forward thru time like Samurai Jack instead, as we already have a plot of Ven being stuck in a comatose state right now, and even then he had a brief episode of that after he was split from Vanitas. It would just seem too redundant to me that the same exact thing keeps happening to Ven all the time, I'd much rather there be some sense of variety in the guy's life, even if he can never catch a break. Anyway, Terra and Aqua's specific ages have never been explicitly specified, but one thing is for sure, at least physically, they are much older than Ven, at the very least old enough to be considered "grownups", albeit still pretty young ones at that. Safest bet would be to assume they are young adults, like somewhere within the range of 18-24 years old. Like clearly older than Sora, but not any older than Leon, that nice sweet spot where you can be considered as a main protagonist for a Final Fantasy video game (not even kidding, lol).Terra is actually considered to be the eldest out of all three of them, but the age gap between him and Aqua is much smaller than between them and Ven, so Aqua may only be slightly younger than Terra, I'd put it 1-2 years of difference at best. It's hard to say considering how mature Aqua tends to be, but there's plenty of girls around that age who can be mature beyond their years, it's all based on your personality. No exact number is give for their physical ages, but if I had to guess a number, I'd probably put Terra down as at least 20 and Aqua as at least 18, but even then that's being a bit safe in my eyes, I'm more tempted to say that Terra is around 21-23 and Aqua around 19-21. I only say this because in my eyes Terra must have been pretty well-grown for a while since he's comfortable enough in his own body to give Ven advice on how to "let his body move him" in fights, and he doesn't look that different in the 4-year old flashbacks (same with Aqua), so they must have passed the puberty barrier a good time ago before Ven ever showed up. So it makes sense that they'd be at believable ages where they would have had such developed bodies or at least close to that, so I guess my final guess I'll submit is that they were around 17 (Aqua) and 19 (Terra) years old when Ven first showed up, and after 4 years Aqua was 21, Terra was 23, and Ven was 15. The thing about age in KH though is that the exact number is kind of superfluous. The only time ages were ever explicitly given was in KH1, back in the time where it made since to introduce your new game with characters that have a given age so that they are relevant with the audience. After that, age has been rather vague, to the point that the series really only cares if a character is either depicted as a child, an adolescent/teenager, an adult, or a very old person. There's less "ages" and more "age-groups". The only definitive source of ages we have are in Sora, Riku, and Kairi, the only characters of the series ever given actual ages (well actually I guess Selfie, Tidus, and Wakka were give ages too, being 13, 13, and 15 respectively...come to think of it, I think Cloud was given as 22, Leon as 25, Yuffie as 16, and Cid as 42, but I'm not entirely sure, I've only got one source so far and I'm not sure how accurate it is. Just take those as guesses for now). Any guesses we have about how old certain other characters are will eventually have to be compared against these three, since they're the only true figures we have to work with. So characters connected directly to Sora like Roxas, Xion, and Ventus are only considered 15 years old by proxy, because Sora is 15 years old, so they must be too. It's not going to get any less confusing, unless Nomura decided to bring back specific age numbers and gave each character a specific number in their character descriptions again like he first did in KH1. Also, just because this topic tends to become a slippery slope, I'm just going to say that yes, Sora, Riku, and Kairi are STILL 15, 16, and 15 respectively even after Re:Coded, DDD, and 0.2. It's not explicitly stated that a whole year has passed like KH2, if anything you could just assume that it's been weeks or a few months since the events of KH2, and unless somebody's birthday just happened to coincide with those few passing months, it wouldn't make sense to think of any of these characters as being anything close to a year older than they were in KH2. Until they straight up say that it's been a year, it's safer to assume that not that much time has passed after KH2. Enough for a good-lengthed break for Sora and Riku, but not long enough to advance their ages.

For Gods sake the facial animations
Are people STILL bugged by that of all things? Geez, if having blah-blah faces means that my game isn't running extra hard trying not to crash at 60 fps, I'll take it. But no seriously, those faces never bothered me that much, that's more of a niche pet-peeve you've got there. The fact of the matter is that you can't have super-realistic or super-expressive expressions for every single bit of screened dialogue in a game because that takes a lot of time, work, processing power, and various other factors that go into the whole process. And those tend to be pretty specific expressions too, where they tend to pertain to the specific situation the character is in, when other times there's plenty of times where a simpler generic expression could work just as well for any lesser moments. I'm not exactly looking for Sora to have beautiful accurate lip-syncing for every little line, dialogue, and silent reaction shot the game has, I just need what works, and this works for what it is, a tolerable way of cutting corners when you just can't reasonably put that much detail into every bit of dialogue, especially when you need to keep dubbing in mind. Is it really that important that we see Sora's face be fully expressive from a far-away shot? No, no it isn't. And it's the first freaking game you're complaining about. Running on a PS4 or not, it's still a PS2 game at it's core. I'm not expecting them to fix what the game already was, I'm just expecting them to make it look prettier, run smoother, and play more comfortably. They already replaced most of the models, trying to rework how their movements and face animations work would have just taken way too much time to figure out, especially considering that they freaking lost most of the original data from when they first made KH1! They had to work with whatever they had while making most of it from the ground-up. Touching up that game probably required the most amount of work out of any of the remixes, I'm just happy that they were able to successfully complete it at all. The last thing I was asking of them was for the game to animate as if it wasn't what it truly was, an early PS2 game. There's asking for improvements on legitimate issues like bugs and crashing and stuff like that, and then there's just having unrealistic expectations. May as well ask them to just strait up remake and reboot KH while you're at it.

What Sport should there be a Kingdom Hearts game of?
Um, I'm not sure how well anything would work as a KH-themed sports game, beyond the minigames already included in KH that are sports-inspired already. I mean, maybe a racing game since the Keyblade Glider races seemed to work decently enough as kart-racing games, just would have to refine it a bit for a full-fledged racing game. Other than that...um, I don't know, baseball? Golf? Anything where you use a Keyblade as a hitting-stick? It's really hard to imagine for KH of all things, unless it was an in-game minigame. I'd almost rather they just didn't to be honest. A racing game or fighting game would be the only sports-anything kind of spinoff I would want to see from KH, and they aren't even listed in this poll, so I didn't even vote. Racing and fighting ARE sports you know.

Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda weighs in on simultaneous worldwide releases, new games, and ports for Nintendo Switch, and more
I just find the excuse people use about everything being unified to one system as an argument for why the same users who'll have KH3 available to them shouldn't have the HD ReMIXes available to them on their system of choice to be ridiculous. Yeah, it makes sense for us PS4 users, since by having a PS4 we're pretty much guaranteed to go and get KH3 the moment it comes out, but they're literally forgetting that they announced a sequel for a system that they've never been on before. That's a whole audience who probably never heard about KH before and would probably not care enough to even buy it. You're essentially throwing money down the drain by distributing it onto another system without even bothering to ensure that that system's market will even show up to help you make back that money you spent. Kingdom Hearts is NOT Final Fantasy. You can't just release a sequel on two systems at once without having to bother making the previous games available all on the same systems, not when it's as continuity-heavy as this series. To just announce it for 2 systems and yet only make the hd collections available to only one of them instead of the system that arguably needs it a bit more right now just never made any sense to me, no matter what excuse you come up with. But hey, if they have nothing else to offer this E3, maybe that'll be the big surprise reveal Nomura will give this year. "We promised you XBox One fans KH3 in the future. So in order to ensure your #EXCITEMENT for that title, we're finally bringing you the HD ReMIXes to the XBox One. They will be out within this year/the next year. #PleaseBeExcited." Or you know, something like that, lol. Well, don't wait too long, lol. It's no guarantee yet.

Okay, Let's talk about E3 2017 and what we'll probably see. (KH3)
I'm actually pretty confident that we'll get a new trailer for KH3 this year. Maybe not a particularly lengthy one, but a decent enough one to show just how much progress they've made with the gameplay, what new worlds they've finished up (maybe actually see San Fransokyo in action), maybe any voice acting they've completed, some cutscenes hinting at stuff, and whatever new additional feature they want to reveal that day. I'm not expecting to see as much as we probably deserve from all of the news droughts lately, but enough to hold us over for either the next convention they would show anything at like TGS or even the next E3. I am not expecting a release window to be made public this soon, but I will always remain hopeful for 2018, but at this point 2019 is just as likely. I'll just say this though, if they can't make late 2018 work, they better make it early 2019 instead. I mean, however much time they need to make this nearly-seamless of course, but I'm still hoping that without any new huge console releases on the horizon (as far as KH is concerned anyway...) that they're working in as efficient of a manner as possible so that after 2017, we won't have to wait too long to see this game in stores. But I am still concerned about the staff's health, so hopefully the work ethic and release window agree with each other, especially considering how much stuff Nomura still has to work with, at the very least with KH and FF VII Remake parts 1, 2, etc. And of course, hopefully the fanbase agrees with the release window, lol. And naturally, we can always expect a random surprise from Nomura that we didn't even anticipate. I mean, that's how KH3, the ReMIXes, and X started out, lol. I mean, I'm not asking for any new titles at this point. The most I would want at this point would be full-on remakes of Days and Re:Coded in playable formats, but I realize that would be really REALLY stretching the KH team thin right now in the middle of KH3's development, so those are probably best left for future years between releases after KH3, provided they aren't working on new in-between releases at that point. But even without new titles, there could be some kind of surprising KH-related thing that Nomura could announce to tide us over, especially if we don't get much in the way of new KH3 news. The concerts are one such thing, maybe a new KH-themed event will be announced that will start after the concert tours end. It's the next best thing besides making more games to keep the hype train rolling at this point.

Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda weighs in on simultaneous worldwide releases, new games, and ports for Nintendo Switch, and more
KHIII released everywhere at the same time and KH ReMIXes available everywhere I go on the Switch? Hell yes, sign me up! I mean I know the point of the remixes was to unify everything onto one console, but I think that concept can still be spread to other consoles as well, as long as everything is included for each system. I mean it's just distributing the ReMIXes to 3 systems, 4 if you want to throw PC in there for the hell of it, and it's the same exact experience on each one available to more people than ever before. I love KH being on the Playstation, but even I think it's kind of silly to try and hoard everything when the series has already had a diverse enough history as it is. Plus, those poor Microsoft users still deserve to have these titles available on the system that's going to host it's first KH game ever, a sequel to 2 other ones they've never played before. Keeping everything on one console isn't "unity", it's isolation. Unity is bringing everyone together, including the new customers you're planning to win over with KH3. Can't do that if they don't prefer to have a PS4 AND an XBone at the same time.

Mixtape inspired by Kingdom Hearts released on Pandora to celebrate the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX
...I'm really trying to find the KH inspiration that went into this. I'm only on my second song here, and it's a remix of Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Ray. I mean...Roxas' summer was pretty sad...I guess. I don't know, I haven't really heard any Disney songs so far...at least, none that I recognize, but I doubt Disney's tastes have expanded THIS far. So far it feels like the only thing these songs have in common with KH is the word "remix", which if I'll be honest, is kind of a lazy association. Still, it's not like these are terrible songs or anything, and some lines do kind of stand out to me randomly and make me think of KH...for like a second, then it's just back to the song being it's own thing. Like John Legend's Love Me Now has a line about "turning light into darkness" or "darkness into light" or something along those lines, so that's kind of nice I guess. I don't know, I'm not as disturbed as many of you guys are so far, but I am a bit perplexed by the decisions made for what went into this.

Will Aqua and Terra learn the truth about Ven's origins?
At some point, I'm sure. Though I'm quite honestly more interested in Ven's reaction. As if having to discover who he really was once wasn't bad enough, but now he's got to learn that he came from some other time entirely? Kid just can't catch a break with all of these missing memories, can he? But no, I'm pretty sure Aqua and Terra are going to be pretty quick to understanding and accepting Ven within the first 10 seconds of learning this, considering how they weren't even phased by him being an ingredient for the X-Blade. I'm not that concerned with how they'll handle it, considering how they have their own personal problems that they have to deal with. Again, nobody from BBS or Days can ever catch a break.

4th leader introduced to Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] with five new story quests
Anyone who sounds like Spider-Man is instantaneously trustworthy in my book. X)" Anyway, it looks as though they are including the final events of the original X in the form of dreams after all. That's pretty much what I've been hoping for this whole time, and I do hope that we'll get to see the all of it including the actual Keyblade War. That scene with the player and Ephemer was a bit early though, but maybe it was actually Ephemer's recollection of the scene, and they'll still play things in order. I hope they do, because this is a setup I can get behind. Have fun carefree missions with your friends during the day, oblivious to the fact that EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS A LIE!!!! you're in a different world entirely, but at night you have dreams/nightmares of the events leading up to the Keyblade War that you actually took part in, experiencing everything in real time. And once you finally hit the final dream, the war itself, something big will happen. I'm hoping that they'll actually use that final scene of the original X as a good way of introducing the Enchanted Dominion as a new world to explore, or maybe you go there before having the final dream mission. Point is, it looks promising how they might be planning on going about this, I really hope they do end up doing it this way, it gives us everything we've been missing essentially. As for the Fourth Leader, he seems...interesting so far. That's all I can say. He clearly looks a bit like Ienzo/Zexion with that hairdo and overall mysterious vibe around him, but the hair color is a bit different and he clearly has a much more expressive taste in clothing. I'm almost getting a sort of Ardyn vibe from him (from FF XV...in case there's at least one person on here who hasn't played/watched XV yet, lol), but it feels a bit too soon to say. I almost get the feeling that there's supposed to be something mysterious or iffy going on with him later on as the story progresses, but maybe I'm just overreaching and he'll actually be a pretty genuine guy. Then again, never trust those who don't show their eyes, they tend to be the iffy characters in the series...the Fortellers sort of half-count by having masks that have eyes, so I'd say that's more of a grey-area for them. Point is, we should watch this guy. Can't wait to see who the Fifth Leader is! I'm kind of hoping it'll be a girl, it would round the group out a bit better, the whole 3 guys 2 girls thing. Plus I'd feel kind of bad if Skuld was the only gal there, makes it a bit too easy to assign her as a token, despite the fact that we've gotten plenty of exposure to her personality by now. No matter who it is though, I'm sure they'll be interesting.
