What I want to know is if the LE PS4 Pro is going to be available to preorder in America as well, because it would be pretty weird and stupid if it wasn't, what with them announcing it at an American gaming expo of all places.

Um, I'm not sure how this is "sad", it more feels like overflowing joy. Like if he's crying at all, they're probably tears of joy, that's it. Sounds like you are too, so if anything you're just really happy to the point of crying. At least that's what it sounds like to me, because everything you talked about sounded like reasons to rejoice, not to be sad.

Honestly it's for the best that there's no final mix, especially if it means that any DLC added would be available to ALL countries. Because at this point, after giving everybody the Final Mixes once in the ReMIXes, there's no way they would be able to get away with Japan-only exclusive game content today.

Kida, because I really want Atlantis to be in this game, it would be such a fun world to explore in this engine. Pocahontas would also be a good addition, as would Tiana. Merida might work, I don't know about Boo or Elizabeth though. Some people have been suggesting Minnie and...that's actually an interesting point, I could see it working. It would be interesting if it got her more involved with the plot than her typical hold-down-the-fort support role she typically plays, plus it'd be awesome and cute to see her and Mickey fighting together.

I kind of hope that's what he does. It'd be both hilarious and flattering that he cares that much about our input. Plus if I created anything like that, that's what I would do if I needed a refresher. You know when you put it that way, that makes a lot more sense. I mean the journal still suggested that King Mickey was the one that did it, but maybe that was just to keep consistent with the language they were using. Also that makes that Roxas scene make a lot more sense. It really just should have been "Tell me why IT picked you?" I mean, he's confirmed as much MULTIPLE TIMES, and yet everybody else just keeps conveniently forgetting that.

Eh, I'm almost convinced that KH3 isn't the end of the series, and that Nomura is pretty much going to be moving on to a different antagonist/threat with future installments, depending on how UX's story is handled.

At least he admits it. It's little things like that that make certain continuity mistakes (Donald and Goofy are repeatedly seen at Yen Sid's tower in the past despite being clueless about it in KH2, Minnie banishing Pete in the past when everyone said it was Mickey who did that in KH2, Roxas collapsing in Castle Oblivion supposedly due to be too physically close to both Ventus AND Sora despite the fact that Sora was moved out of there months ago by that point, etc.) a little more bearable to put up with. I mean after a certain point of constantly trying to weave everything together intricately and always trying to shock fans and keep them on their toes, it does start to catch up to you. Still, it doesn't sound like he's too lost, and I don't think a majority of us are that lost either, so I think it will all work out fine.

Um, is that only in regards to KH3 or the whole series? Because while I can understand not wanting to bother with making a whole world for either Marvel or Star Wars (Big Hero 6 not withstanding), you could at the very least make summons out of some of those characters in future titles, I don't think anyone would have a problem with that.

Seriously, how hard can it be just to find time to say "Hey shouldn't we be giving these other potential customers, who have NEVER played another KH game before, the same exact experience we're giving to all the other customers who actually have played these titles a million times already by now?" How could they not have even discussed this yet, this is something you could have done years ago.

Ok fine, but at the VERY LEAST, could we wrap up Cloud, Zack, and Leon & the gang's stories in a satisfying manner in this title?! Because seriously, if those things just result in a dead end I'm going to be really pissed off. I mean you can't just have things move on aimlessly until they eventually just dissolve into the either like that, it's bad writing. Just conclude everybody's stories here, maybe introduce one or two new FF characters with self-contained stories (like how Auron's was handled), preferably Noctis and Lightning, and make it feel satisfying. Then you can go ahead and forget them in every game onward for all we care, just make sure you don't leave any loose ends tied up. Because seriously, Cloud's story arch raises so many questions, it deserves some solid answers and a proper conclusion, same for everyone else.

So is there any chance that it will be available in America as well? Because I've literally been waiting for an excuse like this to get a PS4 Pro, and it's perfect, except for the small fact that it is Japanese so far right now...

So what's that Kingdom Key-looking Keyblade paired up with the World of FF-looking Sora? I am so lost. It kind of looks like Mickey's Kingdom Key/Star Seeker-looking...thing.

I mean to me the fact that they aren't even willing to acknowledge that they haven't mentioned anything about a collection for XBOX One users is more proof that they aren't going to bother with a collection at all, or at least not until KH3 is already released. I mean time after time, they keep having the opportunity to announce such a thing with each and every mega-collection for the PS4, and yet they still don't even give it a passing mention. I mean Playstation users are probably going to be given the opportunity to get caught up for the millionth time now and yet Microsoft users are still not given it when they arguably need it just as much, if not even more. I mean for god's sake, what is the hold-up, it's just a button-icon swap, that's all it takes, there is clearly interest there, they have all the signs they need to make a thing like this happen, I don't understand why they won't ever take the initiative and just give everybody the same exact freaking thing already, it's infuriating. I'm not even an XBOX user and I'm still disappointed, they're making all this talk about how "oh no, even inexperienced XBOX users can understand this game, just look at how the bad guys are clearly bad guys", when you could so easily avoid this problem altogether by doing what literally everybody is telling you to do and just give the XBOX users all of the HD collections. I swear the only incentive to get it on XBOX One at this point is to get it for the XBOX ONE X and see it perform on the strongest console out there, while also happening to be a fan who already kept up with this series beforehand. This is undoubtedly going to result in underperforming sales for the XBOX One version, and if that is the case, they might feel even less incentive to port the collections onto the system afterwards. It literally feels like another case of a Japanese software company favoring the Japanese hardware company more than the American one and in the end it's going to be the consumers that suffer from it, and it really pisses me off.

I'm not saying I'd prefer them to not have KH on XBox One altogether, frankly I'd just prefer that they port the collections to it since they've already made the commitment to have KH3 on that system as well. My main point is that there was virtually no point in announcing KH3 for the XBox One if they aren't even going to give it the same treatment as they have been with the PS4 so far. It almost feels redundant at this point. It's the worse of the two options, but they are the only two options that would make sense at this stage. Again, there is CLEARLY a much better option out of those two, but they have been so stupid to go this long without doing it, I almost don't see them ever doing it, they're just being so absentminded on this. I guess my rhythm of thought is that it's frustrating me so much that I kind of wish they never announced it for XBox One in the first place just so there wouldn't be this huge group of people getting their hopes up only to be dashed by the company's incompetence in this matter. It's kind of an extreme stance to have, but I mean it would hardly change anything, it seems like they kind of forgot that they're even releasing it on the XBox One. I would still prefer to see them announce the collections for XBox One though, it's literally an easy fix. Just do that and the problem goes away altogether, everybody has access to the games, everyone is happy, and after KH3 is released the only remaining issue would be whether or not it actually gets any DLC or a Switch port at some point.

It likely isn't true, if anything it's more like Square is just being really stupid about going about the whole thing. I mean forget the XBox fans who would be confused as hell with the story of KH3 because they didn't have access to the previous games, the bigger issue here might actually be the sales figures of KH3 itself. If no XBox user has ever had access to a KH game before, what's going to convince them to want to buy this sequel that they probably never had to care about before? It's not like with Final Fantasy where every FF game is somebody's first FF game and playing the previous entries is completely unnecessary, KH3 is HEAVILY dependent on backstory and context provided by previous games in the series. People could jump onto FFXIII on XBox 360 because it was it's own thing and therefore much more approachable, here with KH3 they won't know half of the characters or why they should even care about any of them. This kind of issue could be easily solved by either one of two solutions. A) Just ignore the XBox One entirely and just release it on the PS4 since they seem so dedicated to the Sony side of things anyway, or B) Actually port all of the HD collections to XBox One because not only will it give fans all the context they need, it would also guarantee that KH3 would have stronger sales on the XBox One. It just baffles me why they haven't done this yet, there is almost no point in releasing it on the XBox One if they aren't giving it any support like they have been with the PS4. If their predictions on KH3's sales figures are highly dependent on the fact that it's releasing on two systems, then it's going to severely under-perform and that's not good news for anyone. Unless part of their big news dump at E3 includes a last-second port of all the HD collections for XBox One, there's not much room left to avoid this inevitable problem.

I think it's pretty clear at this point that Twilight Town is not going to simply just be a tutorial world and nothing else, it's going to be possible to return to it and explore more areas later in the game. I never liked the idea of not being able to return to the first world in the KH games. Sure it works fine with Dive Into The Heart, because that place is special, but with actual worlds like Destiny Islands and Land of Departure it just felt like a real tease to have such fun interesting areas get written out of the game, never to be touched again except for special circumstances like that. So hopefully that doesn't happen with Twilight Town and thankfully it looks like they're steering clear of that direction, given that there are plenty of instances where we see Sora and gang in the area long after he got his new clothes. As far as what role Hayner and the gang will serve, I imagine that it would be a similar supporting role like in Days and KH2, but I also hope that in particular that they will help serve a role in Roxas' return, since I still value their friendship and really feel like it's been getting brushed to the side in favor of Axel and Xion. I mean, I love Roxas' friendship with them as well, but I don't see why he shouldn't be allowed to have more friends all at once. The poor kid deserves it after the life he's had. 6 people eating ice cream on a clocktower is better than 3...although they would pretty much be taking up the whole place. Oh wait, Namine too, so that makes 7, even better. Also I'm happy to see that even the Twilight Town gang have trendy new threads on (Red and Black must be really popular in this game...), but it kind of shines a light on the elephant in the room that Donald and Goofy are literally the only major characters to never receive any new clothes. Like the first time was excusable enough, but COME ON Nomura, it just ain't fair.

This is pretty good. You know, I always wondered why they didn't try to make a Dark version of this theme, especially when they did that for Dwarf Woodlands and Enchanted Dominion. I would definitely love to see this get modded into a 0.2 playthrough sometime, I could easily see it playing after you reach the town and the bridge collapses, sort of marking the transition from the Secret Episode to the real meat of 0.2 (Night of the Dark Dream playing during the tutorial part but then this mix plays when you're in the actual Castle Town). But yeah, nice work, it sounds real authentic!
