Hey guys, I've been following all the news about the changes in 2.5 ReMIX and I have to say it looks like this time Square outdid themselves. Not only did they go all the way and remaster everything in HD, but they also made some more great changes: * They translated everything! Even the previously Japanese text in the Secret Movies * They dubbed everything! They fully voiced the new scenes in English! * They included capes to make the series consistent! And finally, what I was most afraid of, they handled the KHII Final Mix Secret movies with care: the original movies were in a 4:3 aspect ratio. As I love 16:9, I was hoping a full HD version existed of the Sunset Horizon adn Birth by Sleep movies, as most of the stretched or cropped versions on the web look way off. Here's the final result: Square apparently remastered the movie scene by scene to achieve a perfect movie in tghe new Ratio. Apparently they opened up the ratio to fit it to 16:9 but they also used some zoom and strech to make the characters look more realistic. Anyway, the result is perfect and worthy of an HD Final Mix: STRECH: While in the 4:3 ratio some characters, most of all Xehanort, look kind of distorted, the new stretch is used to make the characters look more realistic. They could have stretched the 4:3 fully without too much distortion but they just wanted to make them proportional again. (Xehanort; also in Mickey and Ven scenes) ZOOM: The new video is slightly zoomed in BUT only in some scenes. It seems the ration the video was created in is not fully 16:9 but they handled this with care. (Mickey Scene and Ven Scene) OPENED UP SIDES: the sides of the video was opened up to show more info. the source material clearly is wider than 4:3 and this opens up a new perspective with landscapes and details we have not seen. (clearly visible in the Xehanort scene) As can be seen in the Xehanort scene, they must have gone through the movie scene by scene because the Xehanort scene uses stretch and opening but no zoom to ensure to have a most authentic presentation. RESULT: Square did handle these techniques with care to achieve a stunning result. With the use of streching the video to make characters look right, zoom to fit the video to the screen and opening up the sides to accomodate the new ratio. In sum, we lose a tiny bit of material in hight but only in some scenes and what we gain in width is much more than what is cropped off. Seems they finally made something right by treating the source material respectfully. What more proof is needed until people recognize HD 1.5 and 2.5 are Square's most perfect remasters and they truly unite KH on one console in the games' best and most complete versions. Well done!

Well, to me they are just poor excuses and tries to justify the recent changes in the KH series. Like making Xehanort the main character and neglecting the former main characters (Sora, Kairi)

What Simba face?? I'm sure it wasn't there in the Original American version. As they have several versions of those videos (like the Sunset horizons vid with English text) I hope theys use the correct one for the American release. Also, I hope they come up with a new expanded ratio version for the secret endings...

You HAVE to listen to the original and remastered tracks of HE'S A PIRATE! the 2005 version is Video game like- great in context but 2014 version is EPIC, like taken directly from the movie! And with the new HD graphics, can't wait until Decomber 2nd.

Isn't it ironic it's Demyx they are struggling with? I mean, don't get me wrong, he's definitely strong and it took me 50 times approx. myself to beat him, but still, everyone makes fun of him for being so weak! haha

This Youtube channel has started uploading the HD 2.5 ReMIX tracks included on the Music Blu-Ray of the Collector's edition. At first I thought the Artbook and the Music Blu-Ray were just Samplers to make the "collectors" want to buy the new Ultimania and the full Soundtrack but the Blu-Ray seems to display artwork while the music is playing. Would b e the most awesome thing ever! But unfortunately even Disney themselves neglects this era... Blu-Ray sets of the Ducktales would sell rapidly or even just a release on iTunes but no, Disney prefers to have their shows pirated...

Aw, too bad the fight scenes are so short. They had a great start but it's so weird the enemies go down after 1 blow! Lame, very lame. But the new Roxas and The Other Promise tracks are so awesome,. Can't wait for the Soundtrack. And Roxas looks great in the moviea dnhe is even bigger than KH1 Sora, like he is supposed to be!

Well not officially. I've been playing it for more than a year and I didn't pay a signle penny. However, I havent finsihed any chapter of the game because they require you to train up to LV 200 to stand any chance against some LV 333, LV 500 or LV 999 heartless. The sneaky trick is: you get a certain amount of AP, if they are used up you have to pay to replete them... and it takes forever to train, levelup and grind in CHI, so if you want to move on, you have to pay. Also, the normal cards you get are terribly weak. If you want strong cards that actually help you deplete any of the millions of HP heartless have in this game, you have to pay again. for additional costumes, you pay for additional items, you pay etc. you see, I think this kinds of games are criminal and should be forbidden. Like all those free apps that offer in-game purchases. I'd rather pay 100 bucks for a game I own and can play over and over again... I don't buy the game for re:coded but for KHII and BbS and those games use the full models.

Yeah exactly that's the problem! I havent seen much from Square and Disney besides massive "bucks-saving". It's like all they do is intended to have the least effort and the maximum income. [CHI anyone? Pay to play?] And where's KHIII or FFXV? Yep I do. Why? Because I get to pay the full prize for it. Square doesn't lower the prize by 2/3s just because they got rid of 2/3s of the keyblade! Be honest, would you buy the full prize for a letter that is delivered 2/3 of the way? Or an ice cream box that includes 2/3 of what says to be included on the box?

yeah, but you never even hit with that sharp edge. Sora only turns it upside down when unlocking doors. When fighting he always hits with the flat end and that bit protruding from the blade never even meets the opponent. He could use a tricking broomstick and it would have the same impact.

I bet my ass that 2015 will be Chi internationally. 2016 DDD HD and if they still need a game for 2017 it'll be BbS2 hence KHIII is coming in 18 earliest...

He only said it's narrated by Mickey. He never said he would read out any text passages...

Yeah, I think it's so lame. I mean, what's next? Removing the eyebrows because none pays attention to them so much? Yeah, but it was intended otherwise. It's based on a classic key, you know.

YEah, I know I'm a perfectionist. But since they put a lot of effort in collecting all games on one console and they try to get all games on the same standard, they still could use one model. Even Re:CoM had the full model.

Who says so? I highly doubt that because you can skip it and, judging on 1.5's stability, skipping a text+voice-over scene would result in too many bugs and crashes...

In fact not really, because you hit with the flat end... I modified the examples. I think it's just lame they still do that on the PS3 because in the collections they want to create unity and uniformity, they end up with different shapes of the same weapon...
